Chapter 2: Part 8

"You're kidding right. But the principal, he was your-" Someone started. I looked towards the voice and shot them a glare.

"Amy, did the um, disease act up again?" Grace asked me. She was tending to one of her own wounds, slightly hissing every now and then.

"Yes." I said, not bothering to go into detail. I knew that James would go into detail about it. So did everyone else, for their eyes were looking at him.

"May I?" He asked, looking me in the eye for the first time I got here.

"Be my guest." I told him, waving my hand lazily, still trying to regain my composure and go back to normal.

"Alright. Amy has a disease. It's called Alzheimer's Disease, or something like that. It's a disease that was morphed from it. Amy isn't supposed to have it, but she does, and there's no cure. The main disease is the Alzheimer one. Symptoms of it are memory loss and some metals inside of you are destroyed. But for Amy's case, since she got it younger than usual, the disease somehow strengthens her senses. Her memory becomes sharp and her reflexes are better than olympic athletes'. However, if she feels too much emotion, connected to a memory, she will start to 'lose her mind'" He told everyone, looking all around the silent room as he did. Making quote signs with his fingers as he said the last part, his eyes stopped on mine.

"However, if that ever happens, the most likely thing to happen is that she might not remember any of us, which can be either good or bad. That's what I know." He said shrugging, and going back to the corner, crouching down and closing his eyes.
