Chapter 1: Part 2

"Is it alright if a couple other students come along?" A.R.I.A asked me.

"Full name, Business and or where they are going, and info on personality to teachers and students." I said, sitting down on the corner. It was an unspoken rule that Smithsons should sit there, just like other things around the building. I didn't prefer it, but instead accepted the fact that that's how it is.

"Mary Allan. Business is that she's here for becoming a Politician. She's going to her friends room to discuss family matters. Personality is shy, quiet, but quite intelligent." A.R.I.A told me.

"Allan as in the Politician back on Earth?" I asked, nodding my head and giving her permission to let her in.

"Yes Miss Amy." A.R.I.A responded. I could feel the room switch directions. I hummed back as a response.

"Who is her friend? Is she bringing anyone along in the elevator with her?" I said, putting one of my wireless earbuds in.

"Friend is Kyla Brown, she's on the newspaper committee with you. She's only bringing her notebooks and color pencils."

"Alright." I said, pulling out my phone and turning on some music. I closed my eyes and rested my head on the corner of the wall. I barely get enough sleep around here. After a couple of seconds I heard the signature DING coming from the door, signaling to the insiders that someone else was entering.

"O-oh, sorry I'll get the next elevator." The tall blonde hair girl said, looking down at the floor. I opened one eye to look at her.

"Sorry for disrupting you Mis-"

"Amy is fine. You can sit in that chair over there." I said cutting her off, motioning my hand towards the seat four chairs away from me.

"It's fine, I don't want to be a bother to you." She began. I sighed and looked at her, making her catch my gaze. We locked eyes as I gave her a look that said just-come-in-and-sit. The shy girl easily read it and sat at the seat I motioned at. I could tell that it was awkward and uncomfortable for her to sit next to me but I didn't mind at all. There were many rumors going around the school about me, and no one really dared to piss me off because of them. I closed my eyes for the rest of the ride until I heard A.R.I.A speak up again.

"Mistress Amy, your stop is here." She said. I annoyingly looked at the computer screen, knowing that A.R.I.A could "see" me. I knew that I had to be called Miss, or Mistress Amy when others are around but I still didn't like it.

I stepped into the cafeteria and all eyes were locked on my bored face. I looked around at everyone while resting on my left foot, hand on my hip and my phone on the other. The noise toned down as I began walking to Grae. Knowing that my father would be watching, I strided over to the table with my chip up and my shoulders back. I sat down and waved my hand at no one, sadly breaking the silence. Grace merely smiled at you and you returned it, only meaning seventy percent of it though.

"What took so long?" She asked, getting up to go to the cafe line. I followed her, taking my ear bud off. I quickly adjusted my eyepatch that I had made. It had a flower design on it, only the flower petals actually popped out.

"Another person went in the elevator." I replied.

"Wait you let another person in the elevator with you?" A random kid asked. I turned around and bounty stared at the boy who had spoken to me. I could tell that he regretted it.

"Yea." I said, and turned to the lunch lady and ordered my food. I heard the boy run away. Another rumor was probably going to spread. Poor girl. I'll have to deal with this later. Grace and I walked back to our tables holding our trays of snacks. The occasional smile and wave to others from here to there. As Auntie Sam once told me, those who truly know me, will understand what I do. But from anything you have heard in this school, no one was really that close to me, not even Grace or the Principal. Speaking of which, It was time to head out to your clubs.

"Bye Amy! Please don't beat up another kid while I'm gone." Grace told me. I looked at her and she stared at my right eye, the only visible one at the moment. I simply nodded and went towards A.R.I.A, telling her to pick up everyone in the Newspaper Committee.
