"If you insult my daughter like that one more time I will install a door on your fucking face!"

Mr. Doorman kept ranting to the teacher as two female drones sat in the back ignoring the spectacle.

One of the drones, wearing a red and yellow off-the-shoulder crop top with a matching skirt, rolled her pink-tinted eyes and blew on a strand of her blonde hair which was tied up in a bow that looked like cat ears from far away.. The girl put her hand on her cheek and turned to the other worker sitting next to her.

"Where are your folks?"

The other drone, wearing a matching outfit to her friend, spun a small coin on the desk in front of her while cupping her hands around it to ensure it wouldn't fly off. Her straight purple hair extended all the way down to the ending of her skirt. She never took her neon red eyes off the coin as memories of the girl's past flooded into her head.

-

Two purple-haired female worker drones frantically moved through an empty hallway while holding hands. One of the drones, adorning short purple hair while wearing a black dress and black helmet gripped the hand of the other girl, who had hair flowing down past her waist, and led her along as they ran.

"Mama!?"

Doll, the girl being dragged along the hallway of her home on the planet of Copper-9, called out to her mother with an accent embedded in her voice. She was playing in the snow with her friends in Settlement 4 before some sort of ship landed in the center.

Her mother said nothing as they entered Doll's room. She locked the door and quickly lifted Doll up into an opened vent.

"Mama! What is going on?"

Doll's mother hugged her tightly for a moment before sealing up the vent. She remained silent, but Doll could see the depressed expression plaguing her visor.

Doll stopped speaking once she started to hear small explosions coming from inside the settlement. The door to her room began to shake as her mother stood in the center.

The door burst open as a male worker, Doll's father, ran into the room and hugged her mother.

His voice had no accent, unlike his daughter and wife.

"Yeva! Where's Doll? What's going on?"

Yeva hugged him back and pointed to the vent where Doll was hiding. Her father ran and stood on his toes in order to see into the vent.

"Doll!"

"Papa! What is going on!?"

"A ship landed in the settlement, two drones were inside…"

Doll looked at her dad with concern for the drones.

"Are they okay papa?"

Her father's expression turned grim.

"They're killing a lot of people Doll…everyone Doll… They're on a rampage. Listen, I've already called Aunt Nori, she'll be here soon, just stay here and do NOT come out no matter what."

Doll put her hands against the vent.

"What about you and mother?"

Doll's dad turned back to Yeva.

"We'll be fine sweetie, I promise, we're going to wait right here with you until they get here."

"Okay, papa…"

Her father smiled while turning back to Yeva once more and hugging her.

Yeva looked up at her husband and pressed her visor into the male worker's robotic chest.

Doll heard multiple loud screams followed by explosions right outside her home. She started to shake while confined inside the vent.

Yeva looked to her husband, who was starting to shake nervously, and kissed him on the cheek.

Doll could hear her front door collapse and shoot back against the wall as a set of footsteps rushed throughout the house. Yeva spread her fingers as a small symbol appeared in her palm.

The door to Doll's bedroom was instantly split into dozens of small fragments as a tall drone with bladed wings dove straight through it.

The drones visor was covered with a stretched yellow 'x' that seemed to blind Doll.

Doll's father outstretched his arm as a long blade formed on the end of his wrist. He stood beside his wife waiting for the intruding drone to move.

The drone tilted its head slightly. Doll could see it had the shape of a male worker but was much taller. He wore a thin black cloak with his long white hair extending to his shoulder blades and covering where one of his pupils would be.

Yeva narrowed her eyes at the drone as one of her pupils turned into a hexagon with an outer circle surrounding it. Multiple knives appeared above Yeva as she raised the palm with the matching symbol.

-

The female worker's voice had a russian accent attached to it as she spoke.

"Dead, I watched them die."

"That was the joke, idiot."

The Russian drone kept staring at the coin she was spinning. Her friend leaned over and watched.

"Jeez Doll, you're like, a TOTAL buzzkill."

Doll said nothing as the coin spun.

A loud mechanical roar rang throughout the hallway. The sound made Doll snap out of her trance-like state and look towards the door. Her voice was low and emotionless.

"Lizzy, what was that?"

Lizzy looked away from the door and at Doll while shrugging.

"No clue."

Moments later a female WDF drone ran into the room and took Mr. Doorman away. Lizzy rolled her eyes and let out another long sigh.

"This is sooooooooo boringgggg…"

She looked towards her Russian friend and smirked. Doll was no longer paying attention to Lizzy or the door.

"Hey Doll, you wanna get out of here? Sitting in this dusty classroom is soooo ruining my vibe.

Doll's eyes were still transfixed on the coin. She nodded slightly while still in a daze. The roaring from earlier had long left her mine.

"There you go girl! C'mon, let's go."

Lizzy stood up and stretched for a moment. She motioned for Doll to follow her as the two worker drones walked out of the classroom and down the hall.

The blonde drone pulled out her phone and began to text while walking side by side Doll.
