Confrontation

Zack walked out of the front door and looked back to see the place where he was living till now.

It was a two story house with a small front yard in the front, there was a small personal garden at the side below the window, there was also a garage which can also be used as a warehouse sometimes.

He slung his bagpack over his shoulder and started walking to the directions given by Lilith.

While walking, Zack started thinking and recomposing his future plans since he now knew about the perks he had.

After talking to Lilith, when focusing, he could notice some sort of chord in his chest, Lilith informed him that this was his link with PC.

He tried to recollect all of the passive skills he possessed earlier and this was the list he could remember:

1. Cooking

2. Blacksmithing

3. Swordsmanship

4. Alchemy

5. Formation mastery

6. Mana Manipulation

7. Elemental Mastery

8. Hand to hand combat mastery

(A/n: Why do I have this guy feeling that I forgot a skill?)

He also had that skill named 'God's blessing', which he knew wasn't exactly a God's blessing, but he didn't mention it because he knew that it is logically stupid, after all the Lucifer took all of the powers granted to Zack through wishes, and that skill was basically Zack's third wish.

By the way, after remembering all the passive skills he could, he went over them few times.

'I can't practice Alchemy and Blacksmithing for now since I don't have appropriate ingredients and time. Formation mastery entirely depends on Mana and this world most likely doesn't have mana.' He mused while walking in a hurried pace.

'For now, I will only focus on Swordsmanship and hand to hand combat since cooking won't help at all in the apocalypse.' He decided in mind.

After a few moments of continuous fast paced walking, the huge school building entered his field of vision.

Fujimi Academy is on a large campus with multiple buildings in a fenced and gated area. The main building and at least two other buildings are four stories tall and connected to each other by walkways on the 2nd and 4th floors. In addition to the main building where most classes are held, there is an administration office building, a dorm building, and a number of smaller buildings. The largest of these smaller buildings appears to be a gymnasium. On top of the administration office building there is an observatory which extends above the rest of the school.

Zack's first impression of the appearance of the school was… quite impressive, it wasn't on the level of the academy he went to in his last life on Earth but it wasn't too bad either.

There weren't many students who were entering the gates and honestly… it was quite understandable since, 1) he was late and 2) this was actually a boarding school where students will have to live here only.

"Then, what was the point of giving me such a nice house." He muttered with a look of disapproval.

"Now now, I can't let my companion to be homeless, right?"

"Thank you so much" He whispered with a slightly sarcastic tone to which Lilith just laughed it off.

Before entering the gates, he asked Lilith something which was bugging his mind for forever.

He was hesitant because he didn't knew how she will react.

Even more so after she went as far as to call him her soul partner.

But he steeled his nerves, he knew that he won't be able to fully concentrate if he didn't asked this.

"Lilith?"

"yes?" She replied with her usual bright voice.

"Can you tell me about… about… I wanted to know what is happening in primal chaos and soloverse."

"…"

Zack few nervous not hearing a reply from her, usually she would be very clear and confident with her answers, the fact that she is silent was like a red sign for him.

"Um.. Lilit-"

"Done" Her voice came in his mind, her usual sweet tone and confident persona mixed with it.

"What do you mean 'Done'?"

"I froze the laws present in the said universes." She replied, her tone was extremely proud as if asking someone to find a flaw in her work.

"You did Wha??!!" He exclaimed but then realized who he was talking to and immediately said In a calm tone "Lilith, what does freezing the laws of a world imply?"

His tone was nervous, the first thought he had when he heard that she froze the laws of those world were that 'Is she a Yandere or something?'

Lilith chuckled mischievously and replied: "Why are you so nervous? Freezing the laws of the world also means to freeze the time of that world."

Zack released a sigh of relief after hearing her explanation, that last thing he wanted was a yandere with that much power.

(A/n: Don't worry, the plot also doesn't allow Lilith to be a anything other than a sweet Waifu.)

"Thank you, I guess…" Zack said in a low voice.

He approached the gate, After giving his identity to the guard, he was allowed the entry and let in.

Walking down the long hallways, he couldn't help but curse his luck, who wants to go to school again? Mostly when you have already passed with flying colors.

The only solace in this situation was that he doesn't have to do any assignments or homework, why you ask?

Because who cares about that? He knew that this school is going to get overrun by zombies in a month, who cares about some shitty meaningless grades. He didn't even knew why Lilith was so adamant for him to join the school, after all aside from wasting time, he didn't saw any other point in this action.

He arrived in the staff room and met a teacher who gave him his schedule and the way to his class.

He followed the directions and arrived in front of a class, he knocked and waited for a few moments.

The door slides lightly as a middle aged woman's figure became visible.

"What might you be doing here?"

"Hello, I am a transfer student." Zack greeted with a polite expression and a slight bow.

The teacher had a look of realization on her voice as she stoically said: "I see, but it seems your alarm clock wasn't working this morning."

"It may seem so." Zack replied without even a bit of embarrassment.

The teacher sighed lightly as she said: "Just wait for a moment, come in when I call you."

She closed the door again, but Zack could still hear what was going on in the class.

"Silence. We have a new transfer student today with us, I hope you will get along with him."

Taking this as his queue, Zack entered the room and stood beside the teacher's stand.

He was about to introduced himself but suddenly stopped and remembered that the name on his documents was different.

"I figured that you might want to have a new name, after all this is a new journey." Lilith explained in his mind as if she knew what question he was about to ask.

Zack sighed at this, he didn't minded changing his name at all, most people would have a emotional attachment to their names because they were given by their parents, but Zack was more than happy to abandon his past identity and start a new.

With this thought, he picked up the chalk and wrote down his new name in Japanese.

"Hello everyone, My name is Yuuji Kazami, My father is European while my mother is Japanese, hence my name. I hope to get along with all of you." He introduced himself formally with a short bow.

Whispers among the class broke out, the girls were whispering something into each other's ears while the boys were evaluating him.

"All right, silence. Kazami-kun, take a seat beside miku-san."

Zack or now Kazami Yuuji, followed her gaze and saw a girl raising her hand.

He stepped up to his seat and sat down, the girl named Miku called out to him: "Well, hello there. My name is Miku Yuuki."

She said while holding her hand out to shake, Yuuji took a evaluating look at her.

She had light orange hair which are cut shorter and she uses a hairband to keep her hair back. She also has a pair of earrings in each ear, and a second earring in her left ear. She was obviously wearing the school uniform but that couldn't hide her sexy and curvy figure.

Yuuji shook her hand and greeted back, then without paying too much attention to her, he looked in front to see what is going on in the class.

Yeah, the same as usual, that complicated Biology class.

And as usual, his habit kicked in as he felt his eyelids grew heavy, he leaned forward and placed his head on the desk.

After a few moments, he felt something poking his calf, he looked down and saw a feet touching his own, Following the leg, he looked up to see Miku Yuuki winking at him.

He grimaced in his mind at being interrupted in his sleep when he saw her slipping a piece of paper on his desk.

He could already half guess what was written on the note after seeing her behaviour, but he still nonetheless opened the note and saw the content inside.

How about he have lunch together, maybe… I will show you, why there are certain rumors about me around here.>

He looked at her again and saw her licking her lips sensually and winking at him.

He smiled at her and took a pen to write something on the back of the note, after finishing he slipped it back on her desk.

Miku Yuuki laughed a little to herself at her success and opened the note with a victorious smile on her face which froze when she saw the content of the note.

Her smile froze on her face as her hands started trembling as she tried to hold in her rage, she tore the note into pieces and glared at Yuuji.

How dare he?

This wasn't supposed to go like this! He should obediently follow me like a dog and let me do what I want!

How dare someone like him insult me!

Looking at him, she saw Yuuji giving her a closed eyed gentlemanly smile.

She clenched her hands tightly under the desk and gritted her teeth.

Yuuji was laughing loudly in his mind, especially when he saw her smile freeze.

Normally, he wouldn't insult a girl like this while rejecting her, but Yuuji just remembered that she was someone shown in the original story.

He still remembered how much he hated her character when he watched the anime.

Anyway, he didn't wanted to think about this bitch anymore so he again focused on the teacher and what she is teaching.

"So students, that's it for today. Let's have a small test and see how much you learned today."

Yuuji groaned in his mind, this was the most annoying thing he found in a teacher.

Can't you just teach what you want and be on your way?

A small test? Don't fuck with me! You are just going to humiliate some unfortunate students and then when everything is over, you will make a disappointed face and say 'Huh.. just revise the topic at home.'

Yuuji finished his internal rant and stared ahead, the teacher looked over the whole class and surely…

"Akito-kun, do you know the answer to the question?"

Some random guy stood up, he had a serious look as he said: "Mōshiwakearimasen(sorry) sensei!!! but whatever you taught was beyond my ability" He gave a deep bow and continued "I didn't understood a single thing."

Silence.

Quiteness pervaded the whole room as every had a gobsmacked expression on their faces.

The figure of the teacher seemed to have become a still statue.

Even Yuuji was flabbergasted at his guts, not to mention saying something like that, the dude did it with a straight face.

Yuuji sneakily threw the guy a salute, he really deserved it.

After that little charade, The lunch break came along and Yuuji quickly escaped the room when he saw several faces turning towards him.

It's not like he didn't wanted to socialize with people but with the knowledge that they will most likely turn into a retarded flesh eater, discouraged him to make friends with random people.

He climbed up the stairs and got up to the rooftop, there was no one around, but when he was going up stairs, he heard some noises…

"Just shut up and fuck me, you asshole." A girl's voice could be heard.

Yuuji recognized this voice as Miku Yuuki's.

'Tsk. What a slut.' Yuuji thought with disdain and continued to make his way to the rooftop.

Yuuji opened the door to the rooftop and was greeted with an incredible scene.

Due to the height of the four story building, He could see the whole city from, or at least most of the nearby city from this place.

The Sun was shining brightly with no clouds in the sky making him put a hand on his forehead to block the sunlight.

The warm and bright atmosphere was really a major factor in elevating his mood even further, suddenly he heard Lilith's voice again

"So, how do you like the school, dear."

She asked, sounding like a caring housewife causing Yuuji to smile slightly.

"It was good as well as a little bad, but overall it wasn't a bad experience." He replied in his mind "So would you mind telling me now, why did you want me to come here?"

"Hmm, should I?" She asked with a playful tone.

"It would be nice if you do."

Lilith laughed melodiously at his reply and said: "Ok… fine. You remember that I told you that you aren't here to get stronger right?"

"yeah"

"The main reason for making you stay in this world for some time was to stabilize your personality and emotions as well as, of course, getting accustomed to killing."

"Hmm"

"I know what happened to you in the past, and I know how traumatic that incident must have been, especially without anyone's mental support."

Yuuji was leaning on the fence comfortably with his eyes closed while enjoying the pleasant warmth of sunlight on his skin, but his eyes immediately shot up with an incredolous look on his face.

He honestly didn't see that one coming.

Zack body shook after hearing her words, even though he didn't wanted to, tears started pouring out of his eyes.

This was what he hoped for in his entire life, he always wanted someone to acknowledge his efforts, praise his work.

Tears flowed down his cheeks as he continued sobbing uncontrollably, it had been years since he let his emotions let out like this.

Suddenly he felt his surroundings change as he again arrived at Lilith's room.

A pair of slender arms wrapped around his waist from behind as he felt her body push into his own.

Lilith hugged him tightly and whispered: "It's fine, Yuuji. Just let it out for once and for all." her soothing words and her warm embrace gave Yuuji a strange sense of comfort.

He turned around and hugged her tightly and placed his head on her shoulder, their heights were roughly the same, so it wasn't awkward or anything.

Lilith hugged him back and gently rubbed his back, she knew that he was in the need of some support right now, and she would be a failure as a waifu if she left him alone right now, so she teleported him back without wasting any time.

It took a few minutes for Yuuji to calm down, but he still didn't left her embrace, in all honesty, he didn't wanted to, it was warm, peaceful and comfortable…

Lilith didn't minded his actions, for all she cared, she wouldn't mind even if he continued hugging him for another hour.

But fortunately or unfortunately, After another few minutes, Zack reluctantly separated himself from her.

"I am sorry, you had to see me like this" He said with a self depricative smile.

Lilith shook her head and said in a gentle voice: "You don't have to apologize for that, dear. I am more than happy to help you anytime."

Yuuji couldn't help but feel warm in the chest after hearing her words, he wasn't too good at reading people, but he could tell that she was telling him the truth.

"Why?"

"huh?"

"Why are you so nice to me? We just met a few days ago, do you also want to trick me like him?!"

He shouted without even caring about formalities anymore, for all he cared, she could just at most kill him...

… But, if she was also just tricking him like the Lucifer, then that would hurt even more than the last time, since she was actually nice to him.

Lilith made a sad expression, the fact that Yuuji placed her in the same place at that bastard Lucifer, hurt her very much.
