Chapter 22: Serial kidnapping

After that little incident, we both moved forward without any further delay. I have placed many sensors all over the city in these 3 years.

I have designed the sensors to send me distress signals when it hears some one calling for help or when it detects an explosion or fightings. That's how I have hunted those criminals for past 3 years.

As momo and I followed the distress signal, we quickly reached our destination. When we reached there, we were greeted by the cruel scene of 3 guys laughing manically while beating up a man, and two other guys were holding a 10 year old girl, who was struggling to free herself from their arms and a heavy built guy was standing aside watching all this with a cigar in his mouth.

And there was a woman lying on the side and she looked like she has fainted from an head injury, as her forehead was covered in blood.

"Boss, can we finish him off faster, my hands are itching for that woman, it's been so long since I have tastes a woman", the guy who was kicking the innocent man requested while looking at the smoking guy.

The leader nodded his head and said sternly, "Ok, finish him and do whatever you what with that women, but the girl should be transferred within a hour or else they will kill us all".

The other guy nodded happily and took out a pocket knife and got ready to stab the guy lying on the ground.

Momo couldn't take it anymore and she looked at me for my permission.

I nodded and said, "Take care of them quickly but don't kill them, we need to interrogate them for information, okay?"

Momo nodded in affirmation and moved instantly towards the man with the knife. The thug didn't expect someone to attack him suddenly, he got kicked in his head and fell backwards.

Momo didn't give the other two any time to react, she quickly took out a baton from her utility belt and hit the two other guys near her on their heads hardly.

All these happened with in a few seconds, and it took some time for the other two guys and the leader to process what happened and to snap out of it.

The two guys holding the little girl took out their guns and shot at momo, but momo easily dodged them and threw four throwing knives at them and pierced their shoulders and legs immediately incapacitating them.

The leader got pissed off after seeing his subordinates being taken off easily and tore off his shirt showing off his huge bulky muscular body. He then rushed towards momo and threw a punch at her.

But momo easily dodged his punch and his punch fell on the tree behind momo. The tree got crushed by his punch. It seemed like he has a body strengthening quirk.

Momo quickly moved aside and used her baton to hit him. But that guy easily caught the baton with his hands and smiled wickedly and raised his other hand to punch momo but his face suddenly changed and his body started to shake and he fell down. He was convulsing on the ground in pain.

How can he stand the huge amount of electrical charge from the baton. I specially equiped the baton with many functions for momo to not rely on her quirk too much

Momo turned her head towards me and showed a victory sign with tongue out. she looked extremely cute in that pose especially when she fought , she was extremely hot. I really can't wait to tear that dress down after going home. 'Calm down nick, this is not the place to think about that', I calmed myself down .

I went near the girl who was crying and shaking her mom who was lying on the ground, while momo was tying up the criminals. I placed my fingers on the lying woman's pulse and found that she was fine and she has just fainted because of concussion.

"Don't worry little girl, your mother has just fainted, it's nothing serious. I will go check on your dad's condition, okay",I gently smiled at her and patted her head and went towards her dad.

Her dad was still conscious and he was trying to getup. Even though he was bruised all over his body, it didn't look that serious and he was still able to move. When he saw the bad guys being tied up, he heaved a huge sigh of relief.

When I went near him, he thanked me continuously for saving his family. when I asked him what happened, he sighed sadly and told me everything that had happened.

So this is what happened.. He was just an ordinary worker and his wife was a teacher. Their daughter was quirkless till last week, but she suddenly awakened her quirk while she saw a villain attack while coming back from home and awakened her quirk. So today they were planning to register her quirk , but they were attacked out of nowhere.

I think I know what is happening here because, I had dealt with a same situation as this before and prevented a kid from being kidnapped who had also awakened his powers at very late age. I have also read reports about the different kidnappings with this same pattern ,when I once hacked in to police network and this was happening again now.

Last time I couldn't get any information from those kidnappers because they were just low level scums and didn't know much info other than some guy paying them for kidnapping that kid. But now this leader guy looks like an important guy under that gang or an organisation, so now I have a chance to track down this gang.

So I moved towards the fainted leader who was being tied up. I patted his cheeks to wake him up.

When he saw me, he immediately tried to break off from the rope but he couldn't even move how much ever he tried.

I smiled at him and said," Idiot, don't waste your time, this rope was made from a special alloys, so it won't break off how much ever you try".

He finally stopped struggling and smiled at me, "I know you are the famous vigilante called 'Hunter', I have heard about you but I have never thought that I will be meeting you here."

"Don't think that, I didn't know about your guy's other kidnappings and everything has one thing in common, You guys are only kidnapping the late awakened kids and I don't know what you are doing with them but I will find out soon" I said with the same wicked smile he used.

I saw his face change after what I told him. I think he didn't expect me to know about those kidnappings and I also know it will be tough to get informations from him.

Momo was standing beside me all this time silently waiting for me to speak. I turned towards her and told her about the kidnappings. She was also pissed after hearing about kids being kidnapped, so we planned to extract information from torturing this guy.

I didn't want momo to see me torturing him and see those bloody scenes, but she insisted on being with me and said that she has to see these things in the future anyways, so its better to experience it now.

I didn't have any reason to refute her. So I asked momo to guard the thugs here and I brought the family of three to the nearby hospital. I also left a sensor on the kid to contact them later and left the place quickly after seeing them being noticed by the hospital staffs.

I returned back to momo and we brought the thugs to the nearby safe house that I have to interrogate them. Yep I have many safe houses around the city as well. You may ask why, that's very simple.. Because I am rich. Hahahahah...
