Chapter 88 Mavis’s Revelations

Well let's just say that ended well. Right now, we are walking towards Magnolia since our earlier sudden stop had broken a few parts of our carriage. Luckily they were close enough to Magnolia that we can walk the rest of the way, Karna also had completely recovered his physical capabilities and was able to walk easily. The boys made sure to be on both sides of him knowing that his magic won't return for a few days. While the girls were speaking animatedly with Mavis and was trailing behind.

The conversation between Mavis and others went without any hitch. Where Karna's birth happened was revealed and how he reached Fairy tail through Porlyosika. Mavis also told them that she was taught by Zeref and had gotten cursed because of using an incomplete spell to save her friends. She also explained the intricacies of the curse of contradiction but only explained that her current condition is due to the curse and did not go into the specific details. Others too seeing that it was a touchy subject decided not to intrude upon it.

Right now, Karna can listen Mavis interacting with the other fairy tail members. He also heard them saying something about joining the girl club, but Karna decided not to hear more about it. And luckily or unluckily, Natsu came to the rescue with a touchy subject that made him focus on something else.

"Hey Karna, why did that Zeref guy warned me at the end. That guy only said my name after yours"

"Well, Natsu, I got an idea about that but its best you don't look into it for now"

"Why"

"It's complicated"

"Oh, alright then"

"That's it, you don't even try to understand first!!" Gray blurted out seeing how easily Natsu accepted defeat. But knowing Natsu, if it was not about Igneel, he won't spend energy pondering about it.

Revealing so much information that only comes to light in the end might seem foolish, but the world right now is moving to a different direction. The system was there to help me out in solving the problems in the major arcs that will happen in the world. Plus, the system was built for support, so overly relying on it will become detrimental in the long run. This time the meeting with Zeref was not warned by the system since it did not happen originally. So, if my guess is right, the system cannot look into the future. It was created using the records of the original AU universe which ultimately got destroyed. It might give information about certain locations and certain power, but the changes brought by him will bring many situations not predicted by the system.

So, he decided not to hide the fact of Mavis and Zeref from them and provide them with some information if they came across problems such as this. Another thing was that this incident reminded him of his shortcomings as he was helpless when he faced Zeref this time. Luckily he went away before his death wave affected us. And if it had affected, the only person who survives would have been Natsu because he has Igneel's Scarf.

But this gave Karna something to think about. The chances are the reason Natsu's Scarf can absorb the death wave might be because of enchantment put in it by its creator Anna. If being a strong dragon alone might have made them impervious to death wave, Zeref would not have felt loneliness and would have spend his time with the dragons entirely. The proud dragons would also have welcomed him as Zeref was one of the strongest wizards with the ability to live longer than even the dragons who can live for centuries.

So, after the Phantom lord business, I need to contact Heartfilia to track down Anna and ask her about it. And along with it, I need to find ways to fight when I am incapacitated after using the Death Magic along with it find ways to fight with Death magic while not wasting too much magic.

Now Karna was bit worried as his condition had stretched the time he spend in the Galuna Island Mission so the conditions of Phantom Lords attack might have reached the part where they attacked Levy, Jet and Droy. Karna can only hope that they are not late by too much, but he had a feeling he was late.

For now, he decided to check his system and collect the rewards.

Woah, these rewards are really good, and it looks like its coming from the Demon slayer universe this time. He got the manuals so the chances are he can share its information with the people of the guild as well. This might also make his body more resilient and increase its physical power by so much that the drawbacks of the demon slayer form might not affect his physical body by much. Plus, the Incursio armour takes physical stamina as its price and the chances are that using the breathing method while using the armour might heavily reduce his stamina burn while increasing his power

He then checked the description of the breathing methods and found out it was neutral with no relation to any elements. But it also says that there are chances of it adopting an element based on its user and the chance of creating an entire new element is high as well.

Karna was shocked for a moment as this led to a lot of possibilities. He can already imagine Natsu training in this method and finding out flame breathing. And if taught to Grey or Ur it might even lead to ice breathing or even cold breathing as well. But what intrigued him most was the other possibilities. Like Lucy who has great affinity for space magic, will it lead her to use space manipulation. And Cana with her crush magic. Would it lead her to create crush breathing or earth breathing. And Ultear, would it lead to time breathing of sorts. As the possibilities are Endless, Karna was excited about what will happen in the future as this will help all of them.

Fairy Tail wizard specialty breathing style. He can already imagine it being one of the characteristics of the guild from now on. He now had a way to strengthen his friends for the future problems.
