Chapter 20 storm 1

After the almost date I had with Cana I went back home thinking about what to do next. According to the timeline Erza will come here in a few months and I will have almost nothing to do in that scenario

Forcefully interfering might lead to the decrease in Erza's development in the future.

Well then, I have to think about the opening of the eclipse gate next year and after that the safety of the Strauss family as well. I also need to try to save Lucy's mother as well if I can.

Just as I was about to close my eyes, I sensed something wrong. I got up and summoned my bow.

Something I have learned from Mavis is that sometimes the wizard's magic acts as instinct and warns him about danger.

I summoned an arrow and notched my bow and waited for any noise from around the house.

I suddenly heard the closed door being opened, must have been a type of magic and just as the guy was about to get in, I shot my arrow.

"aaaahhh" the guy screamed

I didn't waste my time and ran forward while notching another arrow in my bow.

I pointed at the guy while he was struggling in pain and asked him in the most menacing voice I can muster

"Who sent you" I knew he was not here to rob me; his clothes were too good to steal in the house of a teenage kid

"Huh, guess you had some skills "the guy scoffed while wincing trying to act tough, but I can see his arms trembling slightly and the size of his pupils say that he is scared as hell

I shot another and it hit while scratching his ear

"I won't miss next time "I say again

"don't you do anything, or the girl would die" the guy stuttered out

"what "I backed away from the guy

the guy scrambled up and started moving backward

"Yeah, the girl who was with you in the evening was caught by us if you don't come to Ivan's old house within an hour you won't see her again and if you tell anyone you know what would happen" he quickly said and ran away

I did not even stop him. I was that shocked

That idiot had the guts to keep Gildart's daughter as hostage. Does he not know what would happen if he found out?

I am sure that was a bluff and started going back into my house but suddenly stopped.

Wait from what I heard Gramps and Gildarts are out of town on guild business and Laxus is also out for a quest was this all planned before.

I started to get a bad feeling. I remembered that Cana had a bigger Magical energy due to being Gildart's child and I remembered Ivan's obsession with magic.

I remembered what happened to Laxus at that time and imagining Cana in that same situation strapped to a bed with experiments done on her.

I looked at my arm holding the bow, my grip just made my palm bleed. My mind started to calm down I need to be calm if I want to save Cana.

It's been half an hour since we separated to go home so it has not been that much time so I still got some more before that asshole can do something.

I then checked out my pockets which had two cards in them one connected to Cana and One to Gildarts. I used the Gildarts one to send him a message. I hope he comes soon.

I then checked the card connected to Cana I saw her location it was the same old Ivan's house, I took my entire gear and started running towards that old house

I knew I was no match for Ivan normally and I am sure that he has countermeasures for all my arrows till now so the only way to win is by thinking outside the box

It's time to bring ideas I have buried in my mind because it is too dangerous, Ivan is going to have to do a lot to survive tonight.

Cana Pov

Cana was really pissed off right now. After almost trying for a whole year finally Karna started to show some kind of proactiveness towards her and when she was thinking about telling this to her mother, a middle-aged man kidnapped her

She looked at the man checking out the instruments of the table in front of her, she was tied to a bed and her cards were confiscated as well. After looking closely, she identified the person

Ivan huh, master told me about what he had done to Laxus and tried to do to Karna did he come to take revenge.

Ivan stopped what he was doing and turned around

"Oh, hello my dear how are you doing "

"Let me go now before you regret it"

"haha well I can't do that now can I Karna will only come here if you are here right "

"If you do anything to Karna, I will make sure you regret it forever" I said menacingly

"hahaha you got spirit kid, being a fairy tail witch does that I guess, I just caught you to be bait you know but I didn't know before I caught you that you had such potent magic

We are going to have so much fun after I catch him" he said in a menacingly creepy manner

Suddenly a person ran inside

"Boss I was not able to catch him, but he is coming here "a guy said while taking deep breaths

"Good work Eric now prepare for catching him"

The guy then began to run off in some other room

"Well then Kid wait a few minutes I will make sure that the Karna brat also join you as well"

I spat at him while he walked away, I hope that Karna will be safe

I don't want him to get hurt for me again

Ivan Pov

Haha I am going to take revenge for what happened all those years ago and nothing can stop me

He then took out a shield

" I made this shield to counter his arrow magic now there will be no stopping me hahahahahah" he started monologuing and laughing

"I wouldn't be too sure of that" he was shocked, and he suddenly turned around

And the last thing he saw before fainting was a golden glow.
