Thy Holy

Originally she thought that she wouldn't be able to afford anything in the catalog seeing those ridiculous numbers in their price tags, but she was wrong because there was a lot that she could afford with her 100 credits in the catalog.

She can't even comprehend how many could buy with her money, looking at the items and reading what could they do, is unusually enjoyable, she would have continued if it wasn't for the fact that Yoru was pointing at some items in the catalog with an exceptionally loud voice.

"We need that! Buy that right now! With that compass, we can find Chainsaw Man!"

Asa suddenly started to regret her decision of not converting Yoru as a currency, though she wouldn't do it though just saying.

Honestly, she couldn't understand Yoru's obsession with Chainsaw Man, even though she already explained why, either way, she wouldn't dig any further than she already has.

Sounds like a pain in the ass to interfere with her problems, anyway she should focus on what she could buy.

There's a lot of items here that are insanely useful for her survival, well not that she can talk about survival and all, since she literally threw away her chance of gaining freedom.

The more she thinks about it, the stupider she is for being conflicted with such a simple choice, she couldn't stop letting out a massive tired sigh.

"I'm such an idiot…"

"You are." Yoru appeared right next to her, staring her in the eyes.

Asa controlled her flinching, no matter how many times Yoru does this, it always surprises her every damn time.

Then she scowled at Yoru. "I don't need you to remind me of what I already know." 

"I'm aware, but I honestly do not understand your decision of not getting rid of me? If it were in the same situation as you are, I wouldn't hesitate to get rid of me." Yoru said, like it was a matter of fact.

A tick mark appeared on her forehead and replied irritatedly. "Maybe I should get rid of you all at once…"

"Woah! Woah! Don't do that!" Yoru hissed in her direction.

"And why exactly shouldn't I? Unlike before, I have every power here." Asa fought back.

Yoru remained silent as she had no idea what to answer because what Asa mentioned is absolutely right in this place she had no power.

So threatening Asa to die won't work at all.

After a full minute of being silent, Yoru finally spoke. "I don't understand you, while you might have threatened to get rid of me, in reality, you won't. Do not forget I am you, but at the same time I am not, we might share the same brain but we are totally opposite to each other."

Asa didn't have an answer to that question, so she decided to divert her attention to the shop catalog.

She didn't want to think hard about what Yoru said, it is a very complicated question after all, she went to the item section that has holy properties, ones that are effective to devils in general.

There's a lot of it, however, there's only a few that are useful to her, most of it, if not all have some weird conditions like you must be a priest to use it, a saint or pope or a holy virgin, etc…

She's certainly a virgin but definitely isn't holy by any means.

Holy Shroud.

Holy Dagger.

Holy Shield.

Holy Gown.

Why do items with light properties have a 'Holy' attached to them, is it some kind of rule or something?

Either way, despite its rather obvious names, it is useful for devil hunting, not that she'd hunt devils she'd use them to protect herself.

….Okay that was a pretty dumb statement she just made right now, she can't even protect herself from the devil possessing her body, why would she need these if she can't even do that?

Letting out a sigh, she continued her search for suitable items or skills for her own use.

I was quite disappointed by Asa's decision of not converting Yoru or the War Devil. I would have gotten a massive profit.

Either way, it isn't such a massive loss on my part since I wouldn't be lacking customers in the future anyway, sure it might take time but the thing is I have all the time.

It won't matter in the grand scheme of things, however, I couldn't help but be curious as to how much an EX item or skill converted into.

Guess I'll never know, at least for now.

After waiting for another few minutes, finally they bought something in the shop.

"Ugh, are you really going to buy that?" Yoru made a face.

However, Asa ignored it as this was definitely a useful item for her, it was a bracelet with light properties when the user is harmed if physically it would generate a barrier of light, and if mentally it would generate a halo above her head, meaning if someone tried to control her they wouldn't be able to unless she allows them.

Yoru was no exception to this rule, that's why she's making such a face because she can't freely take over Asa's body like before.

And another thing, she bought a holy dagger, yes that dagger that had holy properties. Since it could one hit a low-class devil, although it wouldn't be able to do anything toward the primal fear devils.

Since those devils are in a league of their own, she can actually do serious damage to the four horsemen.

War, Famine, Control and Death.

"I need this so that I can protect myself." 

"Whatever," Yoru replied.

She could literally hear the displeasure in her voice, maybe because she finally had the means to protect herself from her.

Who knows, she'll never know, unlike Yoru, she can't read her mind, as Yoru does with her.

It's a completely one-sided contract, but then again thanks to Yoru she is alive, without her interference she wouldn't even be alive today.

It's also part of the reason why she decided not to get rid of her, aside from having a companion.

Now, as for her last purchase, it wasn't an item but a skill, and it wasn't useful for combat either but for resting.

Sleeping - C+

Lucid Dreaming - D-

It might be useless for most people, but for her, they were useful, especially when Yoru is so damn loud sometimes, Ever since the possession she rarely got a good sleep, that's why buying these two skills is definitely a must.

With that, all of her credits were gone and she didn't regret it one bit, after all in her eyes they were useful to her.

"I suppose you're done with your shopping." 

Asa shifted her gaze toward the man, and couldn't help but thought. 'I didn't even notice him approaching me..'

"I did." Yoru reminded.

'Shut up, you're not helping!' Asa snapped inside her mind.

Yoru however, just rolled her eyes.

"Yes, I'm done with it." Asa nodded at the shopkeeper.

"Alright, I suppose you won't change your mind about converting this.. thing." The man stared at Yoru.

And his action made Yoru uncomfortable, a devil felt uncomfortable with the presence of a man who she claimed wasn't even a devil.

Once again she couldn't help but wonder who this mysterious man was.

"I won't." Asa shook her head, although she did think about converting Yoru once or twice.

"A shame, but if you change your mind please don't hesitate to come here again." The mysterious man smiled at her.

Now that she threw off her caution, she realized how handsome this man is, making her blush a bit.

"Really Asa? You're seriously easy, a while ago you fell in love with that Denji person and now, you're starting to feel something…" Yoru was giving her a look of displeasure.

Her blush deepens even more, she wasn't in love okay?! It's just teenage hormones! She can't stop it!

Then the man coughed to get her attention, which it certainly did.

"Now if you're done with communicating with your friend, I'd like to say something myself, I never did introduce myself to you Ms. Mikata, which was unprofessional, anyway the name is Alexander or Alex, either of the one is fine, however, you can also call me Shop Owner." Alex bowed a bit and continued. "And if you want to come here, to do that you just need to use the I.D. that you received from the shop, know that you can only use it once a week."

Asa nodded at his explanation and then asked him something that she had been meaning to ask ever since arriving in this place.

"By the way, where is this place located? Is this somewhere in Japan?" 

Alex smiled at her and replied. "No, it's not anywhere from Japan Ms. Mikata, or anywhere from your world, because the shop is located in another universe entirely away from yours."

At first, she wanted to deny such a ridiculous statement, but it was stuck in her throat and thought. 'Compared to some items that the catalog sells, this place located in another universe isn't that surprising..'

"Oh? You're taking this far easier than I thought." Alex was looking at her with amusement in his eyes.

"W-well, compared to those ridiculous powers and items in the recommendation section of the shop catalog. I don't think this shop location is surprising.." Asa admitted.

"Heh, that's a nice reasoning, anyway it's time for you to go back to your own world." Alex then approached the door and opened it for her like a gentleman.

With that, she went outside the shop and realized that she was now inside her apartment making a sigh of relief.

At first, she thought of it as some very realistic lucid dream, but when she saw the bracelet, she realized that it was no dream.

Making her feel excited and nervous at the same time.

"Are you happy now?" Yoru grumbled right next to her.

Asa flashed her counterpart with a confident smile, now that she has something to protect herself from Yoru, she answered. "Indeed, I am."
