Khaos Brigade Last Effort (III)

*3rd POV*

On the northern side of Faysummit is a fight between two gods/goddesses and a massive dragon. Lugh and Amaterasu against Apophis the Eclipse Dragon, one of the strongest evil dragons in the world.

"It is really a pleasure to fight a sun god and goddess once again."

Lugh looked at the dragon in front of him with a raised eyebrow before asking.

"I never thought I would say this, but you are very polite for an evil dragon. Are you really an evil dragon?"

The said dragon chuckled a little before answering his question.

"Oh, I'm an evil dragon, that is the truth. This is just the way I'm talking."

"I see."

"Then shall we?"

"We shall"

Without any more words, Lugh and Amaterasu began to attack Apophis with their attack. Lugh, with his spear in hand, became the vanguard while Amaterasu, with her mirror, will attack Apophis from the back.

The spear in Lugh's hand is L��in of Celtchar. This is the spear that Lugh used to channel his power over the sun. If a mortal uses this spear, they need to dip the spear's tip inside a cauldron full of poison created with a special cauldron. If not, the user will set on fire by the spear and kill them.

When Lugh appeared in front of Apophis's head, He took a low stance and thrust his spear forward. When he thrust his spear, it generates intense heat, and the spear is surrounded by golden energy.

When Apophis sees the attack, he creates a shield made of darkness. As the Lugh attack hits his shield, it holds its ground against the attack. However, before he could make a counter-attack, Apophis feels his body is being bombarded from above. When he sets up, he sees Amaterasu attack him with a miniature sun-generated from her mirror.

When Apophis roared, a blast of darkness came from his mouth, and he fired his blast of darkness toward Amaterasu.

Seeing the beam of darkness coming at her, the twelve magatamas around her neck float toward the beam of darkness and block it. A second later, the beam of darkness is gone as it gets absorbed by the Magatama.

That bead is called Yasakani no Magatama, one of the three imperial treasures. It has the power of absorption. It can absorb almost all attacks that come toward the user and store it inside. It can release the enemy attack in the form of a blast with the sun's intense energy.

"Go!"

With a wave of her hand, the magatama around Amaterasu makes a circle formation and releases a destruction beam. It flew fast at Apophis and hit his head, then burned his head with a divine flame.

Usually, Apophis's body will generate darkness that will heal all the injury he received from anyone. However, this time the fire is still burning his body stubbornly, and his darkness has difficulty removing the fire and healing the injury.

Apophis decides to ignore the fire and leave it his passive regeneration to heal all the injury and attack Lugh and Amaterasu.

While taking damage from Lugh and Amaterasu's attack, Apophis releases a huge amount of water from his body. The water had the color of the abyss. When the water touches the ground, it immediately dissolves everything it touches. The building that touches the water immediately collapses and gets dissolved by the water.

Seeing the water, Lugh and Amaterasu know that Apophis's primordial water has inside his body can kill even a god. However, if they stay in the air, they will save from that water.

But, a few seconds later, the water began to float in the air and coat Apophis' massive body with the primordial water. Simultaneously, the rest of the water began to take the shape of a ball that floated around Apophis.

*ROAR*

With a mighty roar, Apophis flies toward Lugh and Amaterasu then fires a dragon breath at them. Lugh and Amaterasu block the incoming attack with magic and divine artifacts they had with them. However, as they block the huge stream of fire, Apophis slams them with his head and hit them right in their body.

*Psssh*

With that single touch, Lugh and Amaterasu can feel their equipment get affected by the dissolving property of the primordial water. However, it will not break with just a quick touch, but they know that if Apophis continues to hit them with his primordial water around his body, then their armor will break and leave them vulnerable.

Seeing the situation, Lugh decided to go all-out attack.

"Amaterasu, can you create a barrier for that big snake over there and me? I want to finish this fight."

"You want to transform into your true form?"

"Yes"

"... Very well. However, I cannot maintain it too long. Half an hour is the maximum time I could maintain the barrier."

It is the fight between light and darkness. Lugh stands his ground with the sun above his head while Apophis has darkness around him, slithering around him like a snake.

On the other side, Amaterasu finished creating the barrier, and by using the Yasakani no Magatama as the anchor, a massive barrier with a crimson color appeared out of nowhere. This barrier is the Amaterasu used when Susanoo fought against Yamata no Orochi using his true form.

Seeing the barrier around him, Lugh began to grin before saying.

"Thank you!"

After saying his gratitude, Lugh's body started to shine, and suddenly his body began to change. The size of the human body is beginning to change into a giant humanoid body. His face changed into a youthful person around the twenty from his usual face around thirty years old. He also rides a white horse that its mane is made of fire. This horse is Enbarr, and as long as he mounts the horse, his durability is increased at a massive amount. His spear is in his hand, and there is also a sling stone in his belt and a sword in his back. This is the sling stone that killed Balor, the Evil God of Celtic Pantheon. The ammunition used for this sling stone is called a tathlum, a special ball that only the member of Tuatha Dé Danann can create. On his back is the sword called Fragarach, the Answerer, The Whisperer, and the Retaliator. The sword of wisdom, truth, and might.

The last change to Lugh is that he has another face to his right and left. This is another identity he has, Esus, Toutatis, and Taranis, the triple god of Gaelic but also worshiped in Ireland. This is also symbolizing his other authority of Law, Oath, and Punishment.

Standing near Lugh is a hound with black fur. Its feet and tails are caught on fire. This hound is Failinis, Lugh trusted hound.

Lugh looks at Apophis and says in three different voices.

"Charges"

As he says that, his horse and hound begin to run toward Apophis with a speed of light, and in less than a second, he already appeared in front of Apophis and using his spear, he stabbed Apophis.

As he stabbed Apophis' head, his spear burned all the primordial water around the place he stabbed his spear. This is the Lugh spear's real power. It can carry the full might of the sun, and every attack carrier by this spear will have the sun's power.

Apophis roars in pain before changing his primordial water into a thousand upon thousands of needles and firing it toward Lugh.

Seeing the incoming attack, Lugh flared his aura, and the water began to evaporate by the sun's intense heat. When Apophis' attack is gone, Lugh begins to continue his attack, and using his spear; he begins to attack Apophis once again.

Every time Lugh attacks Apophis, this attack creates an explosion that makes the Apophis scale melt because of the intense heat.

Failinis also attack Apophis body with its bite and claw. Because of its dominion over all beasts, Failinis could hurt Apophis even though he did not do as much damage as Lugh, who attacked Apophis head.

*ROAR*

Suddenly Apophis roars and creates a massive wave of darkness around him. Lugh, who saw the attack just barely able to dodge the attack.

Apophis looks at Lugh with respect instead of hatred, which made Lugh surprised before he suddenly says.

"Lugh, the God of sun, Let's finish this battle once and for all."

"... Very well. Apophis, the son of Tiamat."

".... I see, so you know about my origin, huh."

"In this form, I can see your past. You are the sole survivor of Mesopotamian religion and the first son of Tiamat, Mummu. Marduk should have killed you."

When the two attacks meet, the reality rewrites itself. The event that should have happened rewrites itself. The attack that should have clashed with each other never happened as the sword Lugh holds impale Apophis in the head, and the attack Apophis released is gone.

Lugh walked toward Apophis and summoned his sword back to his hand before answering Apophis' question.

"Fragarach has the power that can rewrite time itself and make my attack always attack first before the enemy could release their attack even though I release my attack after my enemy releases their strongest attack."

"Then why don't you use it from the beginning?... I see"

Apophis chuckled a little before saying.

"You need your opponent to release their strongest attack first before this sword can be activated."
