Wei Ling returned to her seat with a hurt expression, and a few people came over to strike up a conversation, but she blocked them all.
"Don't ask, I don't know anything," Wei Ling said, shooting a glance toward Tan Jing as she deflected the attention onto her, "You guys shouldn't ask Jing Jing either. It's all my fault; I shouldn't have said anything."
After sending the people away, Wei Ling felt extremely pleased with herself, finding even the English vocabulary that morning unusually easy to memorize.
Her phone in the school uniform pocket buzzed, and she took it out to have a look under the desk.
Nickname: "How does it feel?" This was Tan Rou; Wei Ling had specifically set a pseudonym for her to avoid Tan Jing finding out the actual name.
A smile crept onto Wei Ling's face as she typed her response: "Feeling joyous, very satisfying."
Nickname: "Hmm, that's good enough then."
