She decided to ignore the fighting friends knowing her presence was never going to be welcomed, and decided to face her main business.
When she got to the managing director's door, she knocked twice without any response, so she opened the door and walked in with Alexis behind her.
The Managing Director's head was bent over her table. They couldn't see herself, but amused she must have fallen asleep after she failed to separate her favorite models from each other. But who sleeps with the loud noise the fighters are making?
"Do you think she is asleep?" Mia whispered to Alexis.
Alexis shrugged, "Maybe she is just tired and decided to tune the world out. I do that sometimes especially when I had just lost my daughter."
The reminder made Mia feel sorry for her. She patted the older woman on her shoulder, "How about you go check if she is awake? She already has enough against me and I wouldn't want to add to the list now."
