Lisa Pov ;
I looked at myself in the mirror, smiling a little.
I felt like I was a different person in the white dress that clung to my body. The dress wasn't too heavy, nor was it light. The front reaches to the knees, while the back that extends sweeps the floor.
My exposed shoulders felt a little chilly from the air conditioner, the dress was sleeveless to cover.
"Mrs. William is very beautiful in this dress." One of the female employees who had been helping me put on the dress looked at me enthusiastically.
I looked at her, "Really?"
The other employees nodded in agreement. I actually liked the dress, but I don't know about Dave. The last time he saw me in a sleeveless dress, he didn't seem to like it.
The curtain that blocked the previous room with this room was lifted. Dave looks like he's reading something on the other side. He only raised his head when the clerk informed me that I was ready.
He looked at me.
I don't understand the meaning of the expression on his face. At first, he smiled brightly, but then looked annoyed, then looked confused. If it was in a different atmosphere, I might have laughed, he looks like a cute innocent little boy.
Dave walked up to me. He smiled slightly, looking at me.
He stood in front of me, his hands brushing my hair, then lifted them up. Dave paused, then shook his head vigorously.
"I won't let another man see your shoulder clearly like this, Lily. Change!" Dave whispered next to my ear, but his voice was not low, deliberately so the employees could hear him.
I stood still, not moving.
Dave removed my hair, smoothed it back. He smiled a little. His hand moved to tuck my hair behind my ear. Then walked back to his sitting position. The curtains were pulled back.
I exhaled loudly. While the female employees who helped me choose and put on the dress chuckled, it was nice to have the spectacle.
An hour passed.
Dave finally chose the dress I last tried on, of course after much deliberation. I was even tired of standing up, changing into dresses that weren't all light, some of them heavy.
Dave will comment on each dress for many reasons. The dress is transparent, my feet will be visible. The dress is too tight, my body shape will be exposed. The dress is too revealing, the dress is too closed, the dress is too short or long, and various other comments.
He should have found a suitable place to ask me to change dresses many times. I would have tolerated it if we were trying on a ball gown or some other casual outfit, but in this case it was a wedding dress, I was overwhelmed.
But these female employees, just like Dave, seemed to be enjoying their spectacle.
I threw my body roughly, sitting up annoyed. Now it was Dave's turn to try. Let's see later ! I will reply. I was determined in my heart.
Five minutes later, the curtain in front of me opened. My hand that was holding the book, reflexively dropped, staring ahead. I was silent, more precisely I did not blink nor held my breath.
It looks like the shirt and coat Dave wears every day, really. And as usual, he was really handsome in that suit.
His broad shoulders became more visible, making him even more charming. Don't ask about his face, whatever he wears with his face will make everything perfect.
"Lily?" I was stunned. Dave smiled sweetly in front of him, looking at me questioningly, asking for a response.
"Change!'' I stammered a bit, taking back the book on the table with an awkward motion. Dave looked confused, but then compiled, the curtains closed again.
I fan my face with my hand. Gosh Lisa, you're almost crazy. Don't be dazzled, don't be.
Five more minutes passed. The curtains opened again. Dave's handsome face is back in front of him. Oh my god, he's too handsome.
I was about to wave my hand, asking him to change.
But Dave then stepped toward me, his gaze never leaving my eyes.
He bent down, bringing his body closer to me. I moved backwards until I leaned back against the sofa. Dave brought our faces closer. The smell of strawberry and chocolate filled my surroundings. I held my breath.
Dave looked deep into my eyes, one hand beside my shoulder, supporting him.
"You're not getting revenge, are you, Lily?" Dave asked quietly, his voice deep.
The employees around who were watching gave a muffled cry, as if they were watching a romantic part of their favorite movie. I swallowed, blinked my eyes, then shook my head slowly.
"Then give me a reason," Dave didn't move an inch even though I had been trying to push him away. His black eyes gleamed in the light. I moved down, trying to get a little further away. But Dave, as usual, won't let me go that easily.
As I was almost sleeping on the couch, about to roll down to get away, Dave locked me again. His hands locked my body, there was no more room to move.
I could hear chuckles from the employees around us.
"O-okay, that's all. Take that one." I turned my face to the side, trying to hide my blushing face. Dave smiled a little, I heard him. He then stood up again, looked at me with satisfaction, then stepped into the dressing room.
I sat up, took a deep breath. Unlucky.
....
Two o'clock in the afternoon. The sun was shining brightly above.
We didn't go straight home, Dave said he'd take me somewhere. I didn't ask much, nodded the following. The streets are not deserted, but still relatively smooth.
About twenty minutes later, we arrived at our destination.
It is a fine restaurant in the middle of the city. People who come here are usually important and respected people in the city.
Dave stood beside me, then took my hand. He pulled my waist slightly, bringing our bodies closer. Two employees opened the main door of the restaurant as we moved in, smiling welcoming guests.
The restaurant looks even more spacious from the inside. Dozens of chairs and round tables are neatly arranged. I thought there would be a lot of customers when we entered, but it was deserted. Isn't it lunch time, why is it quiet?
I was about to ask Dave, but he kept his focus on walking. I sealed my intentions.
I looked at the table by the window up ahead, a few feet in front of us. Turns out there was another customer. Several men were having fun chatting. They didn't notice us, until Dave stopped walking behind them.
I was about to ask Dave, but then stopped again, because Dave greeted them friendly first.
"Hei, our newlyweds have arrived." One of them put his arm around Dave's shoulder familiarly. The others then clapped, laughing familiarly. I looked at their faces doubtfully.
After paying close attention, I was stunned. I remembered them. The other four men I met with Dave in the hotel elevator in the past, his close friends.
"Hi, Mrs William." One of them greeted me cheerfully. I looked at him, smiling a little. Jessy wasn't joking when she said Dave and his four best friends had the faces of a prince. They were all handsome, without exception.
Dave introduced them to me one by one. Although I don't immediately remember their names, their faces are not easy to forget.
After a while, eating with them, I started to feel a bit comfortable. They are fun, not too boring. I like Jack the most, we're only a year apart in age. He looks cheerful and fun.
Even though I'd never chatted much with a friend before, thinking everyone was boring, Jack was fun. He talked a lot about Dave being annoying, asked if I'd seen the tattoo on Dave's stomach, and so on. I laughed a lot, thanks to it.
I caught Dave once or twice staring at me intently, but I ignored him again.
I realized it. I'm taking one step forward, into Dave's world.
