Chapter 71

Rachel felt her heart work above normal seeing Jeffry Anderson's intimidating gaze devour her so much that she felt that if Xavier wasn't here this old man might kill her right now.

Rachel left everything to the man next to her. Xavier will always take care of him, and never let anyone including Jeffry do anything bad to him.

Xavier immediately gave an eye signal to one of the party organizers who was behind Jeffry Anderson, making the old man not realize when a committee member approached Xavier and whispered something to him, it was a deliberate thing.

"Sorry, Mr. Anderson, it looks like our small talk will have to be interrupted because I have to go on stage to give a speech. Then, we'll excuse ourselves."

His arm was so faithfully wrapped around Xavier's arm that when the man said goodbye and started to turn around he automatically followed in his footsteps.
