"X, if we get back in touch, then what about your future wife?" Rachel looked up, looking at the handsome face of Xavier who still faithfully hugged her. "That means I'm ruining your relationship."

"Relationship your ass!" Xavier snorted lazily. "I told you it was just an arranged marriage. There was never anything between me and Nathalie."

"Yeah, but still don't you—"

Xavier sighed, it was hard to have a girlfriend who was too kind and naive like Rachel. Xavier looked back at her, his hands raised to cup the woman's cheeks. "Rachel, even if I don't have a love relationship with you anymore, the marriage will never happen because I'd rather go back to Germany than marry Nathalie...."

"...so, you have nothing to spoil here because neither the relationship nor the marriage itself ever existed."

Rachel looked away and hugged him again, but tighter. It was scary to imagine if in the future this hug would belong to another woman, and no longer hers.
