Chapter 30

Mia, who was eating lunch at her desk, turned towards the elevator when she heard the clinking sound of the lift.

The top floor of this office building only contains a meeting place and Xavier's room. Of course, only people who came to this floor had business with their superiors.

The woman immediately closed her lunch box, then stood up and rushed over, as soon as she found that it was Dimitri who came with two handsome men dressed neatly.

"Sorry, Mr. Xavier Alexandre is undisturbed."

Mia furrowed her brows. When instead of being angry, the secretary's refusal was met with laughter from her boss's friends.

"Errr!! Xavier's call sounds so ridiculous." Brian is the type of person who always responds to anything casually and laugh. "Although it's really suitable for X who likes emotions."

While Kenzo, who always wore a grumpy expression, didn't seem to really care, he casually walked off to enter Xavier's room. As if Mia's words were just a meaningless passing wind.

"Sir! Please understand, you can't enter!"

With a panicked face Mia tried to restrain them from entering Xavier's room. Then, the woman turned to Dimitri who was standing side by side with Brian with a pitiful face.

"Mr. Young … Mr. Xavier Alexandre is really in a bad mood, I could be fired if I let you guys inside now," Mia said while cupping her hands over her chest, as if asking Dimitri for help.

However, Dimitri seems too lazy to help Mia prevent the two people who came with him to enter inside.

"Never mind, Mia. The're won't just go home just because you tell them not to, you won't be able to stop them."

Mia looked frowning at Dimitri's words. The woman finally gave in, then sat back limply in her work chair.

"Brian," Dimitri paused, sighed lazily for a moment and then turned to his best friend who was embracing his shoulder. "I'm really lazy to fight with Xavier. You guys come in, I'll go back to my room."

"Oh come on, man!" Dimitri had already turned to walk away, but Brian grabbed his shoulder again and pulled him inside. "I haven't seen you guys fight in a long time," he chuckled.

Suddenly Daniel invites all his friends to meet in Xavier's office with the excuse that he wants to have lunch together.

Hey! Dimitri knew full well that it was only Daniel's alibi. Looks like Daniel knows his relationship with Xavier is heating up and not very good. Daniel often deliberately invites them to gather when one of them is not getting along.

Inside, Xavier who was sitting closed his eyes while leaning his back on his oversized chair, catching a sound from outside.

Xavier massaged his temples, his head almost exploded today because of his Mommy and Nathalie.

Then, now his friends came to his office. It's definitely not to help or support him, they're just going to annoy him.

Xavier groaned softly. They're just really make him dizzy!

Sure enough, when the door opened perfectly, Kenzo appeared who just shrugged nonchalantly as Xavier looked at him with an annoyed face, then just sat on the sofa. The man who always wore a cynical face was indeed intalkative.

While Brian waved one hand at Xavier who was sitting in his chair.

"X, we came for lunch!" said Brian with an innocent face.

Xavier snorted softly. "You think my office is a restaurant!"

The man turned his gaze to the man Brian was hugging, then looked away in annoyance. Had no intention of greeting Dimitri in the slightest. And apparently, his cousin did not have the same intention.

Dimitri sat on the empty single sofa, choosing to ignore Xavier and say nothing. If it wasn't for being forced by Daniel and Brian, he wouldn't want to have to set foot in Xavier's room right now.

"You guys better find somewhere else to have lunch," Xavier snarled, waving one hand lazily. "I know you guys just want to annoy me with all your ramblings. Just annoying."

Xavier's friends didn't seem offended at all, they were very used to the man's spicy mouth.

Dimitri glanced sarcastically at Xavier. "If it wasn't for Daniel and Brian who insisted, I wouldn't have come to your place either," he replied no less sarcastically.

"Ah, I just realized why Daniel suddenly invited us to lunch at your office, X," Brian said as he walked towards the refrigerator at the end of the room. "The cold war is going on apparently."

Brian even innocently act like a host, he bent down to grab a few cans of coke from the fridge, then sat down next to Kenzo after placing the drinks on the table.

"I'd rather see you guys fighting in the boxing ring than satirize each other like women," Brian chuckled as he took a sip of his cold drink.

"By the way, why isn't our handsome Casanova back yet?" Kenzo finally spoke up, ignoring Brian's ramblings. The man glanced at the watch on his left arm. "I have a meeting scheduled in two hours."

Oh, right. Xavier had just realized that the Daniel who had been talking about had not shown his nose until now.

Brian reached for his cell phone in his shirt pocket for just contact the man.

"Daniel, weren't you the one who took us to lunch?" Brian chuckled softly. "Woman make you always forget about us!"

Hearing Brian's grumble, Xavier furrowed his brows in disbelief.

Woman? Which woman? Has Daniel's woman stock run out, that the man even dating up his office staff?

"It's not like that," said Daniel on the other side. "Something happened...."

"Ah, I see! You—" Brian suddenly stood up with a shocked face. "What?!"

Daniel repeated what Brian had cut him off.

"Daniel, seriously?!" Brian's face turned panicked. He then turned his gaze to Dimitri who was sitting across from him. "Dimitri, the woman from earlier..."

"What happened?" Dimitri immediately felt bad, knowing that the woman Brian was referring to must be Rachel. "What happened with Rachel?"

"Rachel?!" Xavier's baritone voice echoed at the mention of that name.

Brian turned to Xavier in surprise. "You know her too, X?"

Before Xavier could answer, Dimitri grabbed the cell phone in Brian's hand, causing the man to flinch slightly. "Daniel, tell me. What's wrong?!"

Dimitri's narrow eyes widened, looking shocked and panicked at the same time. "Accident? Where? Tell mw!"

After getting Daniel's answer, Dimitri immediately returned the phone to Brian and ran outside.

Hearing this, with a hardened face Xavier immediately got up and grabbed the coat draped on the chair.

Kenzo went after Xavier who seemed no less panicked than Dimitri, leaving Brian who was just confused.

Who isn't confused?! Why does Xavier look even more panicked than Dimitri? Wasn't that woman Dimitri's woman?

"Hey! You guys left me!" Brian shouted angrily, then followed his friends out of the room
