"Mama," Phoenix called out for Intan in a sorrowful tone. Her heart was crying in pain. She knew she didn't have the right to call Intan a mom anymore. Not after she found out that Intan' daughter died by her hands. However, she didn't want to change it.
Phoenix loved Intan with all her heart. Intan was the first mother figure she knew of. Although Melrose taught her about life, it was Intan who pushed her to live that life.
After several knocks, Intan still didn't open the door. However, Phoenix didn't go away and stood there outside the door.
Although the wooden door separated them, she knew Intan could still hear her. Thus, Phoenix decided to just say what was in her heart to Intan.
"Mama… I know I have no more right to call you that anymore. However, I still want to… you always be my mama," Phoenix said in a choking voice.
