"YOUR ROYAL HIGHNESS, this better be important," Rekker complained to the Crown Prince as soon as he sat on the chair across from His Royal Highness. "I left my sister alone in the café, so please make it quick."
Well, Eclaire wasn't really "alone."
A servant and a knight were waiting for his sister outside the café.
But his sister didn't know that, of course.
Eclaire was too soft-hearted. If she found out people were waiting for her outside the café, she would invite them inside to have coffee with her.
But servants weren't allowed to dine in with their masters.
His sister came from another world where such a hierarchy existed (or at least practiced), so he figured she would be upset if she found out that she couldn't eat with the servants.
Hence, he kept it a secret from her.
