Mischief

Lord Aiden didn't bat an eye at the insensitive question he was used to Lady Carlene's frank nature to be perturbed. 

With a sigh Lord Aiden answered politely Lord Adam in here on official business for the government.

Briefly he wondered if Lady Carlene would let the matter drop.

He knew his cousin all too well and since they were already seated at the dinner table but no such luck. 

She bristled with indignation and shut him an evil look.

Aiden knew that Lady Carlene didn't want her husband getting involved in any more danger.

The type of work that Lord Adam did was not for the faint hearted.

It was government work that involved risk and would ultimately lead to Lord Sayid putting his life on the line to serve his country.

Lady Carlene did not have anything personal against Lord Adam; she just hated what he represented as a whole.
