Ch 5 The Bond Is Here

It's the third day of the third month that Xian has been born and the day right after Miya's fight with her mother in law.

"Xian, are you mad at Mama too?" Matthew cooed at the little baby worried for him.

"Miya!"

"What, Matthew!"

"Miya Xian isn't doing anything. He's not even drinking his milk."

"He's always silent, check if the milk is warm."

"But, Miya…"

"Enough, I'm in the other room for tonight. We can discuss later, let's rest for now."

She's really mad Matthew thought

Miya who was still worried for the little baby got a new baby bottle out and put new milk in it with his new clothes then left that by the door.

Matthew had taken the milk and clothes that Miya left for Xian. After Xian had waken from his very long nap he screamed Waaaa Waaaa waiting for someone.

Matthew gave him the milk as the baby fidgeted around.

"Ready for your bath Xian? Its Dads turn today to take care of you, mama picked your clothes though'"

"MAAAAAA"

"Say that again Xian":

"MAAA Aaaa"

"You're missing her too huh after the party tomorrow mama won't be mad, she loves to spend with her friends. I'll say tomorrow if they ask about you she'll start boasting just give her some time." 

I'll soften her up. I guess we both have been so focused on Xian all his little details have been making us forget each other. 

Party?? They mean a banquet?

What is it to celebrate?

I dont know, no one told me about it before.

Matthew places little Xian in his brown crib, and gets the nanny robot to watch the baby as he tries to talk it out with Miya. He is her husband just as much as he is Xian's dad, he understands her worries. He should reassure and help take her anxieties.

"Miya I'm going out for a second, I'll be back soon."

"What Matthew, what about Xian? He's in his room alone and Mom's out with Zhanshi!"

"It'll be just a few minutes, See ya darling."

"This man…." 

Despite the fuss Miya had made earlier, she still went to Xian's little nursery room and sat on the rocking chair. 

"He is still sleeping, Dad gave you your milk right?" She whispered to the little baby. As she paid more attention, she noticed he was moving more. She went to check the crib temperature and it was 23°C. 

Good he's nice and cozy.

Miya was scrolling on her phone when she thought about today's fight and went to check mom blogs and infant information.

"How much should a three month old baby sleep? Let's check that."

Nanny robot: "Scientists of Lamience have reported that babies should sleep from 15-18 hours with 5-7 naps in the day. "

(I made up the word Lamience for a reason, different Earth different times*)

"Oh I thought babies were supposed to sleep less now, but Gilia said I should keep my baby up more, sleeping so much will slow him down, that's why he can't focus on us and will not notice that his parents are even here. That's why her son is already so vigilant from birth she watched and stayed by his side so much he always followed his mama..

 She even said to not let Mother in law even touch Xian or she will fatten him up. He needs to be on the lighter side so when the celebration comes, people will not say he is on the heavier side and will make it harder for you.

I guess her baby is built differently than mine."

"Ummm" Little baby Xian murmured in his sleep.

"I guess I shouldn't be so worried about you Xian, you're growing up normally. Nanny robot, how is his schedule?"

"Baby Xian is absolutely fine, he is on his 3rd nap today after the father has fed and cleaned the baby. Baby Xian has slept 12 hours out of 26 hours of the day. He is a strong, well behaved baby and is very vigilant asking for his parents when they are gone for too long. "

"As expected from my son!"

"Matthew you're back already, where did you go?"

"I went to the little pharmacy to pick up the instant blood test, you're worried he isn't ours right? Use this on us and that should answer your question."

"But darling aren't you mad at me?"

"No, even if we are in an advanced world things happen out of the blue, you seem worried for some things Xian has done. It doesn't help to check if he is not ours. "

"But darling, it was just because—"

"I said it's fine, nanny robot came here to collect Xian's sample." Matthew rips open the big box taking out the adult blood sticks he pokes his finger then smears the blood on the stick. He takes Miya's hand and does the same.

The nanny robot has taken the blood sample from the baby's left hand which did wake up Xian."UWAAAAA waaaaaa waaaaaaaa umaaaaa"

That weird blue and black thing that always follows us?

He took it from our hand. I think mama and dada sent it.

Then you sleep, I'm on lookout. {Thank goodness his mental age isn't just like mine. I'll handle the pain and keep watch whatever these mama and dada do.-Brother Snake Xian's thoughts}

"Oh dear look, the poke woke up Xian, and he's already crying."

"Nanny Robot bring the blood sample, Miya go to Xian."

Once Matthew had received the baby sample he put it on the child blood stick and put it in the Blood Genetic Testing device. He waited the few minutes with a heavy heart.

"Look Miya, it came out positive, you were worrying for no reason! Come here my son" Matthew took Xian from Miya's arm and kissed him on the face."

"Are you sure Matthew? He he is 100% ours, I'm wrong."

"Check the box baby, it's the Mono Pharma Company, I paid 250 coins. I even asked for the certification on it and it's 99% right. I did it on the other one, it's right behind the one you're looking at."

"Im sorry, sorry Xian" Miya comes to Xian and cries looking at him.

As Xian had seen that his mama said he was okay he started to get excited and started giggle.

Matthew hugged Miya as they both watched the little baby in their arms giggle and look with his red eyes.
