After a while John heard the obvious sound of oinking pigs and decided to move closer and investigate.

A group of six boars were shuffling around in the dirt hunting for food.

"Inspect."

Since the Boar was not doing any damage to John, he just stood there and wailed on it and a few seconds later it died.

Having worked in a slaughterhouse in the past for one of his jobs, John did not shy away from what he needed to do next.

He took out the tools the butcher had given him and started to dismantle the boars to get all their usable parts, not just the meat the question asked for in case he could sell the rest.

After he was done and cleaned himself up, he headed deeper into the forest towards the gloom.

Along the way John stayed alert because he still felt like he was being watched and a chill was in the air.

As he passed by a group of trees, he heard the sound of yelps and growls, the sort you hear from young animals when they are play fighting.

John slowly approached to investigate before hiding behind a tree and peeking out.

There he saw three little bear cubs playing with each other, clamping over each other as they tried to decide who was stronger.

However, what soon caught John's attention was the fully grown bear behind them that was lying down with its eyes closed.

Gulping a mouthful of saliva John decided it was best to slowly back away, but then a bear cub John had not noticed because it was sleeping between the adult bear's front legs raised its head and sniffed before looking in John's direction.

(Shit) he thought as he recognized that cub as the one he helped before.

The little cub stood up and started to run towards John's location, this attracted the grown bear's attention as it opened an eye to watch the bear cub.

When it noticed the cub was heading towards a human it suddenly raised its head and roared, making the bear cub stop where it was, as John flinched from the noise.

The bear then slowly got to its feet and started to approach John while growling and showing its teeth.

(I'm so dead) John thought as the bear got closer.

Then just as it was about to pass the bear cub the little cub jumped in between John and the grown bear.

It faced its parent before starting to growl and yip before raising the front paw that was injured before.

The grown bear looked at its cub before softly growling back.

The two bears seemed to be communicating with each other and it went on for a few seconds before the grown bear raised its head again and looked at John again though without growling this time.

John and the bear stared at each other for what to John seemed like hours before the bear looked back at the cub and nodded while giving a low growl.

The little cup yelped happily and ran to John again before rubbing itself against him and trying to climb his leg.

John was not sure what they said to each other, but it appeared the grown bear no longer intended to kill him.

He crouched down and started to scratch the cub's head and back before saying.

"Hey there little guy, feeling better?"

The cub yelped happily before rolling on its back and showing its belly.

"What are you a dog?" John laughed before scratching the cub's belly who seemed to enjoy it.

Without John noticing the grown bear was not right next to him as it watched the interaction between the human and bear cub.

Then as if it was making a decision the bear took a deep breath which alerted John to the fact it was right beside him.

As he looked over, he saw it next to him breathing in, and he got worried another huge raw was coming.

However instead of a raw the bear breathed out over John.

John froze while the bear's hot breath hit him in the face and washed over his entire body.

After a few seconds the bear stopped and after giving John one more look returned to where it had been resting before and lay back down.

It gave a low growl and the little cub looked over to its parents before it whimpered.

"Go on back buddy as I also need to leave, I'm glad you are doing well."

After saying so John stood up, the cub gave him one final look before running back to its parents.

As he saw it leave, John also turned away and headed deeper into the forest.
