Move On

It was almost dinner time. They had dinner together and Juli took the diary again to keep today's record.

"Day 3" " she wrote on the top of the page.

"Livia is the goddess of innocence and foolishness."

"Flavia was already aware of the Lucius."

"These siblings are cunning."

"A political war. No solution for my mission."

"Sigh, I don't know how to make Flavia happy. She also has no answer to this question. She is a competitive person and can't accept defeat. She should be a queen. Wait a second. She can be a queen of the empire Publius.", Juli thought.

"I should do more research on this and ask her opinion.", Juli said. She was ambitious that her new plan would certainly work out. I heard about a new person today as well.

"Prince Eros- A new character, not enough information but Quintus and Flavia approve him."

"This person can be a new path for Flavia", Juli thought.

Juli was staring at the diary. She turned to the last page and wrote.

"Questions for Livia"

Juli remembered that Livia had promised to visit her frequently after absorbing enough zu energy. She thought that she should write down all the possible questions she wanted to know the answers to.

"Question 1- Did Flavia meet anyone else after meeting Lucius before her marriage?"

"Question 2- What was the cause of her death? Did she take poison or was there something else?

Question 3- What was the reaction of her family especially Quintus?

Question 4- What did happen in the two years after her death? What were the major events of that time?

Question 5- What does she think about Quintus?"

The last question was based on Juli's personal curiosity and had nothing to do with Flaiva. But she was curious to hear about it.

Juli closed the diary and went to her bed. Now, this room was not any more strange for her. She got herself familiar with the unfamiliar bed and surroundings. She closed her eyes to sleep. When someone knocked at the door.

She opened the door. It was the same maid as last night. She let her in and had her night treatment before falling asleep.

The next day, Flavia informed her that. Today they were going to meet Lucius and Domitia. Quintus would join them later.

Flavia sent them a meeting invitation yesterday. Juli helped Flavia organize the rooms and prepared a manual for the stay of Prince Eros and her parents.

They went to meet Lucius. This time Flavia hadn't asked Juli to travel through Sellas. They walked together and reached the same previous destination.

Quintus also joined them at the same spot. He was standing outside. Lucius and Domitia were sitting on the chairs and greeted them.

Everything was the same, the garden, people, sky, and desserts. The only difference was that Flavia was more furious this time. She was sitting and glaring like a tigress waiting for her hunt to fall in her trap.

"I've decided to not get married.", Flavia announced. She had thrown a bait.

Lucius was happy and said, "I knew that you would say this. Are you going to talk to the emperor?"

"Why should I? I didn't go against his orders and cheated on you. You made the mess, you clean it up.", Flavia threw her cards.

"How could I?", Lucius asked.

"Go talk to the emperor after all he is your foster father.", Flavia replied steadily.

"I can't do this.", Lucius said.

"Then forget about your love and live like my dog. We don't have any other options.", Flavia declared.

"I can't do this either.", Lucius said.

Quintus and Juli were loving this tension. They were enjoying their treats as well. Domitia was tense in this situation.

"You can't do anything, Lucius. Except betraying the emperor. Tell me what you can do?", Flavia inquired.

"I'll run away with Domitia. I'll run far away. I'll never come back here again.", Lucius appealed.

"Oh ho... Who had suggested this idea? Running away from problems is not a noble deed. It must be the idea of a commoner.", Flavia said while pointing at Domitia.

"Domina Flavia, it was not my suggestion. I didn't even to be dragged into this matter.", Domitia joined the conversation.

"But our Lucius can't live without you. He can't forget you as well.", Flavia directed her attention toward Domitia.

"It is not my problem. What does the Commander desire? I'm a pebble in front of you, Domina Flavia. I can't see the reason why Commander is showing interest in me.", Domitia said respectfully.

Domitia's voice was sincere, but her words were hurtful. They could hurt the pride of a noble lady. How could she say that Lucius was giving her priority over Flavia? Juli thought.

"You don't have to worry about your commander's foul choice. He had this habit since childhood to settle for the bare minimum. He is just a man of words.", Flavia told Domitia.

Juli was at a loss for words after witnessing Flavia's response. Domitia was knocked down completely. Juli thought that she must be feeling sorry for herself for falling in love with such a pitiful man.

Contrary to Juli's expectations. Domitia nodded and agreed with Flavia. She said, "Yes, Domina Flavia. You're right. Order me what should I do next?"

"You are asking me to give you an order. I'm not your commander.", Flavia inquired.

Juli was not able to catch up with the conversation. She could not understand the flow of this conversation. She looked at Quintus. He was calm. The only depressed persons at the scene were Lucius and Juli. Domitia was also not tensed at all.

"Yes, I want to take your orders.", Domitia replied confidently.

"Then, run away with Lucius.", Flavia ordered.

"But...", Domitia was going to say something, but Flavia cut her and said, "I can't hear no. I am a very restless person."

"When do we have to run away?", Lucius entered the dialogue.

"You are so eager. Don't you have to prepare anything? Oh my, don't tell me. You are already fully prepared. Then why did you not run away sooner?", Juli questioned.

"I wanted to, but Domitia didn't agree. She said that she didn't want to betray you, Flavia.", Lucius responded.

"Then that's good then. I don't need to be wary of her. You can't run anywhere now.", Flavia ordered.
