Chapter 29: Wolf In Sheep's Clothing

"Please note to me again that I don't want to go shopping with DIANA again." Lawrence goes inside the dorm room, completely slouched and exhausted.

"Who knew she was that wild... She was a bit too energetic for us, that's for sure."

"A BIT? That girl is so hyper. It's like trying to go to the rodeo, that's for sure." He responded to me, dragging his feet as he barely makes it to the living room of the dorm.

Today was a very fun-filled day... although... I hope it wasn't where we made a fool out of ourselves.

FLASHBACKS

We decided to allow Diana to join us with Lawrence, disagreeing on the side. I just chuckled him and let Diana come with us. It's going to be pretty boring anyways to go shopping with the two of us and plus I want to actually have more friends!

"Come on! Let's go! Onward we go!" Diana said enthusiastically. I joined her as we walked inside the school supplies.

Who knew there was a shopping district near Tomoki High. They have everything here! From school supplies, internet cafes, and groceries! They definitely built a shopping district so the students can shop here leisurely during their free time.

We entered the retro-styled, school supplies. It was filled with a different array of pencils, pens, and art supplies. It was more like a book store actually!

"Oh! Thanks for showing us this place Diana!" I thanked Diana, making her blush a little.

"Oh shucks! No need to thank me. It was nothing, I was just trying to help an underclassman !" She boasted.

"Not really... it was on the campus map. So I could have known about it as well..." Lawrence ruins her moment.

"Meanie Lawrence. Don't you know you have to treat your elders with respect?" Diana pouted her face, clenching her face in a cartoonish silly fashion.

"Maturity doesn't come with age. I only respect those that are mature. No matter what the age ma be." Lawrence responded coldly.

"Anyways! How about you guys actually start looking for some school supplies? Isn't that the reason you guys came here for?" Diana reminded us of our adjectives. I nodded and we decided to split up to look for some of the stuff we needed. Although Lawrence denied the idea.

"Pri- I mean sister. I already have a list of things that we will need here. Actually perhaps you can leisurely look around. If you want anything, you can place it at the basket while I gather the things we need." Lawrence offered, grabbing a basket and giving it to me.

"Oh! No need for that. I don't really need to buy anything for me. You can buy everything we need Lawrence. I'll go ahead and just look around for a bit to get familiar with the place." I refused the basket, although I agreed on his idea.

"Just so you guys know. This store has 3 floors. I doubt you guys can navigate your way through these halls. So use me as your guide!" Diana offered to help us.

"Oh right! This store does, seem very big. Perhaps you can accompany Lawrence to lead him to the school supplies and such?" I requested for Diana.

"WAIT WHAT? HELL NO. I'M NOT GOING ALONE WITH HER. Also, I'm pretty sure I can man-" Before Lawrence could finish his sentence, Diana grabs him by the arm and proceeds to drag him away to the escalator. "NAH! I INSIST! COME ON LET'S GO!"

"NO! LET ME GO! HEY! I.. HELP! I DID NOT AGREE TO THIS!" Lawrence screamed for help as he is being dragged away by Diana.

"COME ON! SCHOOL SUPPLIES ARE ON THE SECOND FLOOR! SO LET'S GO!" Diana dragged the helpless Lawrence away from me. I just couldn't help but giggle at the sight of them. They are getting along very well.

"I'll just give you a call if we are done okay?" Diana winked at me as he took the unwilling Lawrence to the second floor.

I just smiled and waved as the two of them got to the second floor. I do hope that Lawrence makes it out okay. Although I trust him fully. He was one of the best knights for his age in the kingdom. So I think he can handle himself with Diana.

I decided to scan the room. Looking at the bookshelves to my side. Hm... so many books to choose from. I might have to eat my words with what I had to say before. These books over here are so amazing! I looked at the endless amounts of novels on the shelf. Carefully scanning the book covers and the title.

Oh my! This is such bookworm heaven! So many books to choose from! It's a good thing, we are free to read them before we buy them from here. I should probably grab and read a book. If I enjoy it then I might ask Lawrence to buy it.

I sat down on one of the readings chairs placed at the side of the bookshelves. It was warm and comfortable. The only thing missing was the tea and this would have been a good reading session.

I read the title of the book. It says "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing." I turned the page to see the summary of the novel and it was apparently about a girl who was being chased by a wolf. Ooh! I guess this is similar to the red riding hood then?

I took a quick look at it for a moment. Until my reading session was disturbed by a sudden. Calling from the distance.

"Is that you Celestina!" Meghan was screaming in the distance of the book store. She was also reading a book.

I stood up from my chair and got closer to her, putting the book I had picked up back from the shelf.

"What a coincidence to see you here!" Meghan gives me a big hug.

I only noticed it but, Meghan's whole body was covered, she was wearing a hat, a mask, and glasses and clothes that covered her whole body without even showing any of her skin. She must have been trying to hide who she was or something.

"Oh, nice to see you too Meghan. I honestly expected you to arrive a little later. Since you know, when we last saw each other. You were back at the airport right?"

"I decided to take the earliest flight to Tomoki High so I can finally see you guys again although can we move into a place where there's not a lot of people?"

"Oh, sure!" I agreed to her request. No harm in listening to her. Although a question does raise my mind. Why is she covered from head to toe just now? Perhaps I should ask her about it.
