(MC POV)
When Rimuru finished preparing for the trip by delegating important responsibilities to his subordinates and ensuring that nothing would go wrong, we began our journey. The trip took a few days due to his flying speed, with me simply levitating behind him.
It took a bit more time than planned, which gave Shuna and Treyni enough time to wake up. Let's just say they weren't too keen on letting me go so soon. But by reminding them of their responsibilities—which, to be honest, I couldn't care less if they fulfilled or not—they reluctantly let me go.
I would have loved to spend more time with them, but the trip couldn't wait, whereas they could. The time I'll spend with them throughout my endless life will far surpass trivial things like appearing in the story of Tensura or even in other stories.
As I mentioned, the trip took a few days with me following Rimuru, who was flying at a considerable speed compared to most of the population in this world. For most people, the journey would take a month, but that's understandable since monsters, let's be honest, are a superior race to humans. Not to say it's like that everywhere, but in Tensura, that's just the truth.
We finally stopped in the Ingracia Kingdom, more precisely in the capital, which is one of the most important human settlements in the world. As Rimuru and I looked around, we saw the place bustling with activity—many merchants and adventurers were going about their lives and doing their jobs.
Rimuru was intrigued by the differences between the Dwarven kingdom and this one—the buildings, the layout, and other details like that. But not wanting to waste too much time, I said, "You can look around later when we finish what we came here for. For now, we should go to the Freedom Academy and not keep your fated one waiting."
A blush appeared on his human form—a form he had acquired by analyzing Shizu. It made him look like a child with no distinct gender but a feminine face resembling Shizu's, which might seem weird to a normal person. I mean, I don't care much, but if you were to date someone who looked like you, it might feel strange. Yet, for some reason, he likes this look.
"Y-yes, we should go now," he replied, not denying the 'fated one' reference, which I found quite amusing, knowing that the real fated one is probably Alice or some other kid, if I'm not mistaken. But if he plays it right… Anyway, we started moving towards the Free Guild, where Rimuru was told to meet Yuuki Kagurazaka by Shizu. Why and how? I believe the plot is trying to stay intact and made Shizu tell Rimuru.
Upon entering, people looked curiously at me and Rimuru. After all, it's not every day you see a blue-haired kid with a majestic black cat like me inside a guild. But they didn't approach us, which was good.
Rimuru then went to speak with the receptionist, explaining that we were here to meet Yuuki and all that boring stuff, while I waited disinterestedly at a table, lying down.
And no, I wasn't just lying there doing nothing. I was amusing myself by training Alexander at the church with my other body—or more accurately, beating him up painfully. While I need him alive for my plan, he's useless after playing his part, so making him suffer for his betrayal is not a problem, as long as he is strong enough for my plan.
A few minutes later, we were asked to go to a room and wait for Yuuki. While Rimuru was eager for the meeting, I was not.
"Kath, what kind of person do you think he is? I mean, from what I've heard, he was taught by Shizu when he first transmigrated here," Rimuru asked.
While making the beating of Alexander more brutal, I replied, "I don't know, but in a while, you'll be able to find out what kind of person he is."
My reply, while sounding indifferent, conveyed my true feelings about meeting Yuuki—the 'boredom' could practically be felt in the air surrounding me.
Seeing this, Rimuru didn't say anything more, not wanting to lose his enthusiasm. While the meeting itself might be boring, I couldn't wait to see the time traveler, especially when she regains her memories in Ramiris's labyrinth or something like that.
Will I be treated as an enemy or a friend? Maybe both? Or will I be ignored? Not that I would let myself be ignored by her. As I thought more and more, time seemed to stretch to unimaginable speeds, seconds feeling like years. But I had to rein in my excitement that had surfaced for no apparent reason and focus on the current situation.
"So, Rimuru, could you please bring your friend back to reality? Because for some reason, he's just staring blankly at the wall."
Those were the words that made me snap out of my imagination. I won't lie—I had completely lost track of time. It was already around two hours, and it seemed Rimuru was ready to leave. Who can blame me? As a being that has lived for so long, sometimes I just think for extended periods to pass the time.
"There's no need for that, Yuuki. I'm going to leave with Rimuru now."
As Rimuru and I left the Free Guild, he asked, "You didn't listen to what I talked about with him?"
I nodded nonchalantly with my cute little head as we headed towards the Academy where Shizu was.
