Sunshine fell to the ground. Everything seemed full of vigor. Though Renata went to bed very late, she woke up quite early. She was too thrilled to sleep because Sharon was out of the picture.
Renata stood in the yard. Sun shined on her face. Her make-up somehow made her look like a ghost.
"It's a great day, Sharon. Too bad you are not alive to see it," Renata said to herself.
Joyce woke up early and prepared them a table of exquisite breakfast. She was as happy as a kid in Chrismas.
"Come and have the breakfast, Rena."
Marvin walked downstairs. He saw them and sighed deeply.
"What's the matter, dad? Something bothered you?"
"Your father didn't know the good news. Tell him. He should be happy."
Renata and Joyce sat at the dining table happily. Marvin glanced at the exquisite breakfast and then glanced at them. He was confused.
Did the cooperation with Genui Group pay off well? Or was there something good going on between Rena and the president of the Genui Group?
"Dad, did you watch the news? The one with the explosion of the abandoned warehouse in the outskirts last night?"
An explosion of the abandoned warehouse?
Marvin was worried about his own warehouses on the outskirts. He was thinking about selling them just in case something would happen to them.
"I saw that news. Why? Did you come out with some ideas on how to get rid of our warehouses?"
Joyce shook her head, "No, our warehouse exploded and caused one death."
Marvin frowned, "What did you say? Who?"
"Sharon."
Renata said in a casual tone with a sweet voice. She looked at Marvin with a happy smile.
Marvin's eyes were rolling fastly. He was shocked at first, but then he thought of this as good news. He had nothing to worry about from now on.
"For real?"
"Dad, I took her there and planted the explosives myself. Of course, it's for real."
Marvin's worry turned into happiness, "That means we have nothing to worry about from now on? Haha, we finally get rid of her."
The family started to celebrate.
Meanwhile, at Nathan's mansion.
"Is this okay?"
After the professional stylists finished their job, Sharon walked in front of Nathan with full make-up and nice cloth.
Her face looked more radiant, and her body slimmed down a bit. After the stylists, she looked more classy.
"My face..."
"It's alright. You came back from death. You are a lot different than before, plus the make-up, it'll be perfect."
Sharon looked at the mirror. She touched her face. It was still her face, but after the make-up, she looked way better than before.
Nathan encouraged her. He was surprised by her. If someone told him that Sharon was a different person, he would definitely believe them.
"You should read some books about office work. I've already picked them out for you. They are in the study."
"I still feel worried... Though my appearance is different, I can't fake my character and preferences..."
Nathan put his hand on her shoulder and smiled. His look was earnest. He encouraged, "Rest assured. You will be fine. Sharon dead at the warehouse from that explosion. You are Sophie now."
Thinking about that, Sharon clutched her hands into fists. Her eyes were filled with anger and hatred.
"You are right. They killed Sharon. I am Sophie."
"Yes, you have already been reborned. Don't waste all the pain you've been through."
Nathan put a new ID card in front of her.
Sharon spent the following two weeks learning new abilities and getting familiar with her new identity.
Two weeks later.
"What do you mean, Mr. Harris?"
Nathan put some files on the table. Glenn stared at those files. He didn't understand.
"I mean that we are going to hold a dinner party to welcome our new chief inspector, Ms. Sophie."
"Sophie?"
Glenn was confused. He hadn't heard of this Sophie, but since Mr. Harris made this arrangement especially for her, she must be very important.
Nathan nodded lightly. He pointed to the files on the table.
"Yes. Sophie is an outstanding asset I found in our global internship program. She will be in charge of our new project. Give everyone on the list a notice. They have to attend her welcome party in Ginder Manor tonight."
Nathan said seriously. Glenn nodded, "Alright, Mr. Harris. I'll make sure they get the notice."
"What? A new chief inspector of the Genui Group?"
"Yes. We hope the Evans Group could attend this dinner party."
Renata hung up the phone. She sensed something unusual. It was only a chief inspector. Why would Genui Group go through this much trouble for her? Was there anything special going on between her and Nathan?
Renata couldn't control her expression anymore. She started to think about what she should wear to the party to out-perform the new chief inspector.
Nathan stood before Sharon and stared at her closely. After the training in the past two weeks, she had changed a lot. She looked more beautiful and classy. Nobody would doubt that she had just come back from a foreign country.
"Is this okay?"
Sharon looked at Nathan, and then she looked at herself in the mirror. The expensive evening dress on her made her seem especially attractive. It seemed like its price was worth it after all.
"You look great. Look me in the eyes. Relax, you are now Sophie. Sharon had nothing to do with you."
Nathan's eyes were so sincere. Sharon stared at his eyes. She could sense the trust and encouragement in them.
Sharon had died in the fire. The woman who came out from the fire was Sophie.
"Let's go. Remember, don't cast the familiar look on the people you know. They won't believe you are Sharon because of your current appearance."
"Do you mean that I wasn't good enough in the past?"
Sharon looked down and whispered quietly.
If she was so bad in the past, did that mean that Nathan only approached her for the Sophie she had been reborn into?
Nathan sighed. He touched her face and held her into his arms.
"Don't think that way. You were an untainted rose in the past. Now, you are a newly reborn rose. You look more aloof after all the tragedy you've been through, but you are still perfect."
Sharon smiled. She looked up at him sincerely. Her eyelashes were very long. Her eyes had more depth compared with her clear eyes in the past.
"Okay, from now on, my name is Sophie. Don't get it wrong."
