Chapter 6: MY STP

         I stand beside the bed looking down at my first STP in years, I knew she was gonna be back, she look to be going through a lot, nurse Abigail, yes sir, please I want you to sedate the patient if her fever doesn't go down in the next two hours, ok sir but can I ask why, you want to know why?, Yes sir, you know what never mind don't bother sedating her again , Ok sir . I left the ward going back to my office I met Josh, hey my guy how is it going, ha don't tell me you are stressed already, oh oh oh wait there are only few times when I see you like this. Don't tell me you are having a STP on your first day at work Josh said with his hand in his coat .

      Yes friend, I already have a STP on my first day, that's my luck, oh boy take it easy okay, do you wanna grab lunch with me, yes gladly I reply him with a big smile on my face, do you know how much I miss having lunch at the hospital cafeteria. Eric you know I always look at you, are you sure you are the legitimate son of the Daniels cox I always wonder how you are just so different from those hot handsome heirs . And why is that I ask him on our way to the cafeteria, you know you being a doctor I mean definitely is not for the money you are f....k...g rich already.

            Do you know we even have Doctor's here that have never have their lunch in the hospital cafeteria, it people like you that are suppose to be doing that. Well have known you since our med school days you are a weird billionaire. Thank you Josh yea I know am weird but seriously this is my passion, what I desire to do, you know I can keep living here caring for people .

       We reach the cafeteria taking the sit that overlook the front of the medical center, so tell me how did you play your games with your father that he allow you to practice again, don't make me tell the tale that old man was the one who played me. How Josh ask looking at me and be like how can you got played you played the man for six years of your med school.

       I narrate my deal with Dad to Josh when we were served our lunch, and we started digging in. Half way through lunch Nurse Abigail rushed to our table, is everything okay nurse, I ask looking her up and down. Doctor Miss Bernard woke up not too long and said she needs to leave I told her she can't but she insisted before I know it she remove the drip and walk out of the hospital.

      I drop my cutlery, thinking of what to do I took the napkin to dab at my mouth, how is her fever I ask looking outside the hospital I catch a glimpse of her getting into a cab, her fever is down sir. Uhm since it down  I guess our work is done. Sir is that why you ask me to sedate her 

       Now you know the reason she's a STP, STP?, What's that, nurse Abigail which med school did you attend is it here in New York, yes sir, it is to be expected, well in our med school the short form of stubborn patient is STP. Oh okay now I get why you ask me to sedate her.

     Yes but fortunately her fever is down, I guess the drip is finished, yes am about to change it when she woke up. Okay you can go. Alright sir. Josh and I both look at each other and laugh it off finishing our lunch.
