Wait before I answer that, my Dad reply and also ask another question

What are you doing here, are you not suppose to be at the office, I mean if am ever going to ran into you in a place like this, definitely not with a white coat on and a name holder on your desk with what, my Dad said looking at the name on his desk again, Dr Erickson Daniels, he said sarcastically.

Hmmm this is bad, I could hear a storm coming.

We took our sit in front of Eric 

I never knew you are the one coming Mr Bernard, one of my professors just gave me a call yesterday and ask to meet an important guest this morning, Eric explain

That's right I put a call through to a friend who lectures at the best medical center and out of all the people he knows, he told me you are the best doctor to attend to my case, which is my am here, my Dad reply

So are you a doctor or you are a business man, my Dad ask him

Eric then explain how he happens to practice as a doctor and at the same time work at the company

My Dad laugh hysterically,  so you and your father plan to keep me in the dark while you marry my daughter

Keep you in the dark?, I don't understand sir 

You can't but am sure your father do, my Dad reply only to take out his phone to make a call 

Nothing is good about the morning Daniels, how could you make my daughter marry someone who does not have it in mind to takeover your business less taking care of mine, I will not have any of my daughter marry your son, as it is, we should dissolve the contract between us, he said cutting the call.

Mina, let's go he said walking towards the door 

Mr Bernard, like you said am not interested in business that I will not cover up for, but you see this, he said pointing to his white coat, when I put this on for the first time as a full practitioner, I took a oath and a personal vow, which I will never break 

You are here to see me about Mina's health, don't you think that's is way important than your family business, why don't you take a sit and lets talk about that, Eric said facing my Dad looking more meticulous than he is in the meeting.

My Dad look to be thinking about what he said before taking back his seat, since you know why we are here, let's get to work then 

Wait, I said raising my hand, if you are both here because of me, how come I don't know what is going on, I ask looking at the both  of them 

Am sorry I lied to you Mina, but I don't know how my parents find out that you are likely to develop cancer, that's why they changed their mind about you, Eric explain

Wait, what!!!!, You don't know how they find out, ofcause you should know, you must have run off to tell them about it, am I wrong 

No Mina, you have to trust me on this, I didn't, am as surprise as you are, I didn't even talk to them all through yesterday until I get home late at night yesterday

If he hears about it at night then he must be saying the truth, I talk to his father not too long after lunch yesterday my Dad said, after much deliberation, my friend told me he's the best cancer major I could visit and that why we are here 

He's right, like I said am a general surgeon and also a cancer major, we don't need to run any test, I have her chart here, her formal doctor did a good job, and she already did her checkup for this month and everything seems fine, Eric explain to us.

Am sorry Mina, I didn't know you were going through all of  this on your own, why didn't you tell me, but then am glad you are strong and could take such bold steps about it yourself, as a father am proud of you and am sorry, my dad said looking so hurt giving me a tight hug, am really sorry

Like I said no cause for alarm, as long as she takes care of herself she will be in the clear, I forward some important tips and  schedule to your mail, make sure you go through them and do as I say, all will be well I promise you Mina

We should leave then since she's not undergoing any test, 

Yes you can leave, Eric answered, my Dad walk out with me behind him, 

Mina can we talk, Eric ask,

because I still don't trust you neither do I know what you really want from me, I said closing the door to his office.

Elizabeth darling, congratulations my daughter, I can't believe you could overturn the Daniels decision over night 

Mom you should know am a smart girl

How did you do it, she ask 

I was looking for one single treasure when I hit a jackpot, so yesterday I drop a recorder in Eric's pocket hoping to get some evidence that their relationship is false

What do you mean by false, her mother ask 

They lied about been in a relationship and am sure the Daniels wouldn't want a daughter in-law  who lies so I am looking for the evidence from their conversation when I stumbled upon the fact that, she might develop cancer just like her mother, all I did was just to tip off  the Daniels about it.

Oh my my, this is huge and expected , who would want their son to marry such person

So tell me Is that all you got from the recordings 

No mom I will have to call the guy in charge am sure we will still get something 

Okay but how did you know they are in a false relationship, her mother ask 

I have my sources mom, you don't worry about that, and also something more huge will happen soon, am sure you will be so glad about it

Alright I will sit here and celebrate this victory, you will finally be the one to marry the Daniels while I wait for your surprise her mother reply looking at her daughter's face all crumpled up looking at her phone.

What's wrong Elizabeth 

Shit, shit, shit! She said grabbing and ruffing her hair at all angles looking so annoyed

What is it, her mother ask again getting worried 

That stupid guy lost the signal 

What?, If he lost the signal does that not show that he discover the recorder, won't he trace it to you 

Don't worry mom he won't even think about me 

What do you mean and how did you get the recorder in his pocket 

I first put him through some emotional trauma while faking a cry and a whole bad story about Mina, then I jump into his arms unaware and drop it in his pocket, though I was planning to go further with my plans but that b...t...c...h  couldn't find a perfect time to come into his office for a stupid meeting.

If you jump into his arms and not accidentally bump into him or fake a fall, it won't be long till he finds out it is you 

Mom you should know am smart, I payed some people to bump into him so am sure he will be so confuse as to who did it .

That's so wise of you, so now I want you to visit the spa, have a nice massage and a very good skin treatment, then you meet with the designer to make something nice and unique for you, I don't want you go shopping this time around, and prepare for the lunch, it could be any moment from now 

Sure mom 

Madam the Boss is back and would want to see you and young Madam in the study, one of the maid inform them 

Alright we will be there right now

Elizabeth am sure your father came bearing good news, hurry let meet and know when the lunch is 

Am sure he's here with the wedding date, I know the Daniels wouldn't take any chance when they heard the news about Mina .

You are right darling, her mother reply on their way to study room 

Bernard, you are back early, how was work today, my mom ask walking towards Dad to welcome him 

Thanks darling work is fine, he reply rubbing his brow out of fatigue 

Dad you must be so tired, should I get you tea or something, I ask 

No Lizzy am fine, thank you dear, about the Daniels, I dissolve the contract between us today 

What ?, dissolve why, my mom ask shouting a little bit, mom!!!  she can't even hide it, I mentally hissed, this is absolutely unexpected, why would they suddenly dissolve the contract, did they love Mina that much 

But then if they still want her as their daughter in law, am sure Dad wouldn't object ,  why dissolve the contract then, if that is the case, I still won anyway, he won't be able to marry Mina, I honestly don't have anything to do with Eric anyway apart from the influence and name I will have in the society if I marry him 

And I know there will be another chance, after all am sure Dad won't give us the chance of marrying just anyone but all the same there are only few family with that much standard as the Daniels, 

Elizabeth, my Dad called to me, snapping out of my thoughts, I put on a bright smile, am so happy Dad, I know you won't allow this to happen to us.

What are you talking about, they both ask me 

Dad have been thinking since you told me that I will be marrying Eric, I didn't want to, he's already in a relationship with my sister, I care for her so much and I know this will really hurt her, so have been praying for a miracle, I couldn't imagine what she will go through if the marriage happens.

Come here Lizzyy, Dad said stretching out his arms, I walk into them, I am happy you care for your sister so much, am sure she knows how much you love her even if it did happen, though the Daniels propose another solution to this but am still thinking about it 

So whatever decision I make am sure your sister will understand.

But Bernard what could happen that will make you dissolve the contract yourself 

Erickson is not going to takeover the Daniels corp, he's a medical doctor who is only working till her brother finishes business school.

What?? My mother and I both exclaim 

So now if the contract is to remain intact, the only option is for Lizzy to marry the second son, which is the only possible outcome because I can't have my daughter marry just a mere medical doctor at some central hospital.

So what are you going to do now my mom ask looking at Dad
