Judging by my STP facial expression, she's definitely defining a means to leave, I taught I curbe you already, you're really a hard one. Okay let's see how it goes. She kept looking at me time after time. Doctor don't you have other patient to attend to she ask, no your condition is much worse than others. But apart from the rashes and scratching am fine.

     Oh really you are fine, yes I... miss here is your drug nurse Abigail came with her medicine, she puts the drug in her mouth and drink the water, sorry Miss now we will watch you for an hour and if it persist then you will have to stay nurse Abigail told her. No nurse you are wrong, I face the patient you will be here for three days like I said earlier.

      But doctor she's having a mil.... Nurse please go and attend to the other patient, okay doctor, nurse Abigail leave looking wronged. I turn back to her checking the time, okay we have an hour before things escalated. Has nurse Abigail said the scratching will reduce or go completely after an hour leaving only the spots which will clear away the next day.

While waiting for the drug to take effect I went into my own taught, what do I do to evade this dinner my dad keeps talking about, apparently the second daughter of the owner of the new corp we want to work with just came back after her study and they are holding a welcome party for her. I mean what's my own with that.

      Why do I need to attend the welcoming of some spoilt brat, don't get me wrong that how all of them arer, yes those billionaire girls are all so spoilt and ill mannered and to see just one that's cultured it rare. Josh said it just a dinner and what harm will it do me if I go but he's oblivious of my world. The business and the affluent society is not like that.    

      Dinners like that always have hiding meanings to them, I wish Richard will finish his study and come back and take over the company.

Mother it a success, Lizzy are you sure, of cause mom I just got off the phone with the florist she definitely add Aster to the flowers, and you and I both know that Aster will not keep her from attending the dinner. Elizabeth don't you get it, what this dinner is about, your welcoming party is just a facade.

     I know mom, no you don't because if you do you would have allow me handle this, your father is planning to propose a marriage proposal between us and the Daniels it will do better for the business and the corporation. We can't have Mina attending the dinner, you should be the only one they see and am sure they will like you.

    Mother don't you trust me, I told you I will handle it right and I did, haven't you heard of double allerg reaction she's as good as dead. What are you talking about, remember those cookies I gave Magaret the day I arrive, yes you bought that for everyone and you ask her to put it in the fridge. 

      Yes mom, am sure she has eaten them, and so, oh mother you don't seem to get me, those cookies are hand made by my friend when I was coming as  a parting gift and I lied to her that I love peanut cookies but I don't really like peanuts smell. So she specially make it for me masking the nuts smell.

     My mother smiled when the realization dawn on her, you have done well my dear, this is good news for me so she's as good as dead you say, yes mom. But how are you so sure that she ate them. Magaret informed me that she made Alice serve it with her coffee this morning as she's late for work and didn't eat breakfast.

 Haaaa now am relieved, have you made the shopping for the cloth you are wearing tomorrow, trust me mom I already did and it a gorgeous gown for a gorgeous lady like me, am sure the Daniels son will fall for it. That's good let me go and oversee the rest of the preparation. Ok mom.

An hour later.

I was still thinking about the dinner when the patient called out to me, doctor it an hour now, I check my watch still standing beside the STP bed, okay I will check on you now, nurse Abigail also join me when it's time, I hold her wrist to check on the rashes and ask her how she feels when I caught her irregular pulse.

     I hold her wrist properly and take her pulse once again, this is not right, how are you feeling I ask her looking so anxious, I don't think this is just an ordinary skin rash allergy, I look up at her, she open her mouth to talk but stop, doctor I can't breathe well she said amidst gasping for air. Miss miss calm down nurse Abigail called to her.

     Looming over her I shake my head not understanding a bit of what is going on, I open her mouth to see the tip of her tounge getting whitish, is this what I think it is, double allergy reaction, Miss please tell me what other things are you allergic to...... Omg talk, calm down and tell me, God I can see she's trying but her breathing is getting too erratic.

      Hello am Evelyn, is this the pain management unit, yes you are welcome, are you here as a patient, no am here to see my friend Miss Mina Bernard, give me a minute please, the nurse check the file. Okay ma'am go straight and turn by your left. Thank you. 

     Turning by the left, she begins to rant entering the room, darling am sorry I quickly came over when I heard from Lawrence that you are here what hap..... Evelyn rush to bed side seeing her friend in a critical condition. Doctor please what's wrong with my friend she asked getting panicked.

    How are you related to her, I ask the stranger, am her friend, okay Miss can you perhaps contact her family we can't treat her if we don't know what she's allergic to... Doctor let me check her file and call her contact, nurse Abigail said, okay please do........ It me, am the contact in her file, the lady said and she's allergic to peanut and Aster.

    Peanut and Aster I repeat, now we know what it is she needs to take the injection in 3minutes, go to the pharmacy and get the injection. Nurse Abigail was about to turn on her heels when I stop her, you won't make it back here in three minutes stay here I will go.....I didn't finish my statement before I broke Into a run and dash to the pharmacy.

     Thank you so much doctor, her friend keep thanking me after I admister the injection and she calm down, her breathing is becoming more stable now. You don't need to appreciate me it my duty and I get paid for it. Still doctor if not for you I don't know what would have happen to my friend. 

     She will be up soon seeing that she's stable now, okay when can she leave, she can leave already since we have treat the real thing and she gets the injection but being a STP who stress me today when am suppose to be at home I won't allow her to leave yet. Doctor when can she leave she ask me again, she can leave in three days I reply.

       Three days, doctor can't she leave tomorrow if not today, what's with these people about her leaving. Never mind Doctor her health is more important, good I reply now I at least meet someone who is reasonable.

   Am surprise that the STP slept all through the night and woke up the next afternoon she must have been so stressed. I went into her room when the nurse inform me she's awake,I saw her talking with her friend, how are you feeling now Miss Bernard

     Am very fine doctor, I feel alive, am happy to hear that, and thank you very much doctor my friend told me how you go out of your way to get me the injection and treat me, you are welcome. Um Doctor since am better now can I leave now she ask fidgeting with her hands.

     Okay no problem you can leave since you are better on one condition, condition?, Yes how about you thank me again by having lunch or dinner with me during your free time. She look at me surprise then at her friend, Miss Bernard you can't reject me else I won't sign for your discharge I told her smiling mischievously.

       Okay doctor I guess you give me no room to disagree, I check inside my bag looking for the invite, I must have drop it at home who knows I will need it. How about I invite you to a dinner party tonight she said smiling at me, hm a dinner party tonight you said, yes, I taught about it.

       This is a good opportunity for me to evade the dinner party my Dad is talking about, ok good I will be glad to come, okay doctor why don't you give me your address and I will have someone pick you up. That's not a problem but the person can pick me up here at the hospital.

 Okay deal then, the time is 7 pm, okay I will be waiting, he said signing my discharge papers, I took Evelyn's hand, off to prepare for the dinner.
