Cheating or Not?

Riku saw himself running in the hallways of the hospital. He heard from his department head that one of their patients already died. It was the same person he saw the cranium being opened because of encephalitis. Though the neurosurgeon prevented the virus to spread, the patient died due to seizure. He stopped from his tracks when he arrived at the white room. It looks so familiar because he had gone to one when he was in Maldives with his wife.

His heart clenched in pain when he saw the family of the patient. He knows that kind of pain. Memories of them crying in the white room, asking their selves where it went wrong because they lost their little one flooded his mind. He stopped his tears from spilling. The nurses and doctors lined up and he followed. A white chrysanthemum is given to him.
