MHA: Kitsune (Kyuubi)

Kyushiro Kurama, a boy blessed since birth with a loving family and a powerful, unique quirk. As a result of all the praise he received since the age of 4, the boy grew to become overly confident and cocky - but he deserved to be. After all, he was not only strong but also smart. Applying into U.A., Kyushiro didn't really care too much about being a hero. All he wanted was a challenge; something to rile him up and ignite the flame within him. And, fortunately for him, that was exactly what he would earn once getting into U.A. Warnings/Tags: - NOT a Reincarnated MC: MC is neither reincarnated nor transmigrated. He is born in the MHA verse and therefore has no future knowledge of it. - Strong to OP MC: MC is very strong in the beginning, and gets even more OP over time. However, he will have losses which contribute to his character development. - MC with no Backstory: Although he's the MC, he's not a tragic one. He was born into a happy and loving family, and grew up with the same happy and loving family with nothing majorly bad happening to them. - Slow/Mid-Paced Romance: I like fics with romance (Can't imagine living a life without a lover). Romance isn't really the main focus of this fic, but it will be involved. - Slice of Life: As this is set in a school, there will be a few filler-like SoL chapters with MC interacting and hanging out with his classmates/friends. This will be a major thing when dorms become a thing in the future

Chapter 2: Quirk Apprehension Test

With Aizawa's threats, the students of Class 1-A were now on edge. At first, they thought this would be a fun activity to get along with their new classmates. But now, this turned out to be a death-zone where one of them would be gone and kicked from U.A.

"It's not fair!" Some students cried out in complaint of Aizawa's methods, causing him to snicker at their irrelevant words.

"'Fair'? Nothing in life is, kid. Natural disasters... highway pileups... rampaging villains... calamity is always right around the corner. I'd say Japan and the World are full of unfair things" His words, unsurprisingly enough, silenced the students as they weakly agreed with him - they hoped this wasn't going to be a reoccurring thing for the next 3 years, "And heroes are the ones... who correct all that unfairness" He sighed tiredly, rubbing his eyes which had dark bags matching the white-haired boy funnily enough, "If you were hoping to spend your evenings hanging out at Mcdonald's… I'm sorry to tell you... that for the next 3 years, U.A. will run you through the wringer - THAT'S Plus Ultra. Use your strength to overcome it all. So bring it" He instigated, boosting the morale of the kids as they felt pumped up and rejuvenated.

Aizawa looked at the kids and smiled, "The demonstration is over. The real test will now begin. The first event: The 50-Meter Dash. First up, Tenya Iida and Tsuyu Asui" He called out, causing the blue-haired boy with glasses and a girl with long green hair to step forward and take their positions.

Pulling the trigger on the small gun in his hand, the two ran as fast as they could. Iida, fortunately for him, had his quirk built for this event as the engines on his calves allowed him to complete the dash in only 3.04 seconds.

The green-haired girl, on the other hand, ran and leaped to the finish line on all fours, finishing the dash in a solid 5.58 seconds.

Next up was "Ochaco Uraraka" The brown-haired girl who spoke with Izuku Midoriya "and Mashirao Ojiro" A blonde boy with a large and muscular tail.

The two finished at around the same time, a decent time of around 7 seconds. Ojiro had used his tail to push himself to the line, and Uraraka had touched her shoes and clothes to make herself lighter.

Next up, "Mina Ashido" A girl with pink hair and skin, "And Yuga Aoyama" An annoyingly-sparkly boy with blonde hair. Aoyama had a solid start by shooting a laser from his belly button, but evidently fell behind Ashido with a nice 5.51 Second finish. Ashido, on the other hand, skid the dash on her acid which allowed her to finish in a time slightly faster then Aoyama.

Next up, "Kyushiro Kurama" The white-haired boy with fox ears, "And Rikido Sato" A muscular boy with thick lips.

With no words said, the two got in their positions beside each other and waited for the gun to be shot, "Uwahhh..." Having not woken up, still, Kyushiro profusely blinked in order to wake his eyes up, 'Man... the first day back to school is always the biggest pain in the ass' He groaned internally, 'Then again, maybe I shouldn't have binge read the Bleach for the fourth time last nigh-"

*BANG!* The gun shot, snapping Kyushiro out of it as he shook his head. Though having a slightly late start, Kyushiro ran as fast as he physically could in his tired state at a speed that shocked his classmates.

Aizawa himself was slightly shocked himself. Though he had watched a bit of Kyushiro's performance during the Entrance Exam through multiple screens, he knew he wasn't at his best during both this time and that time, "3.48 Seconds" He announced, 'Faster too, if he had a good start and could run at his top speed by being awake'. Sato finished quite slow compared to him, "7.57 Seconds" He read.

Once all the races were done, Aizawa announced that the next event was the Grip Strength Test, "540KG" showed the device in Mezo Shoji's hand, a tall boy with a mask over his mouth and grey hair.

Looking at the device in his hand curiously for a second, Kyushiro squeezed until he wasn't bothered to, "500KG" It showed, 'Meh. Not bad I guess' He shrugged, handing his device over to Eijiro Kirishima, a red-haired boy, "Damn! Nice score, bro!" He complimented with a smile before squeezing the device with a hardened arm, "450KG, I'll take it!"

The third event was standing long jump. Like most of his other classmates, Kyushiro jumped over the sandpit with ease, "Tch" He kissed his teeth, feeling his ankle had almost twisted due to him smoothly landing on his toes, 'Shouldn't do that while I'm half asleep... I wonder when we get a snack break?'

Side-Stepping was the fourth event, something Kyushiro completed with much annoyance due to him getting a headache from all the moving. Once he was finished it, he looked beside him with his mouth agape as he saw a midget with purple balls for hair bouncing side to side on said balls, '...What an... interesting(?) Quirk'.

The fifth event was the first one Aizawa had showcased through Bakugo, the softball throw. Kyushiro watched as Momo Yaoyorozu, a curvaceous woman with black-hair lifted up her gym shirt and, quite literally, created a cannon which blasted the ball thousands of meters.

"What if that hits someone walking on a random sidewalk?" Denki Kaminari, a boy with yellow hair muttered to himself out of curiosity, which caused the black-haired girl to panic as she managed to hear his concern.

"Next. Izuku Midoriya" Aizawa called out after Uraraka had achieved a score of infinity for her throw - what a cheat quirk.

"Midoriya isn't doing very well" Iida commented, gaining the ears of class 1-A as Bakugo explosively added, "Well duh! He's a quirkless bastard" With a frown, causing Iida to raise a brow as he looked down at the slightly shorter boy, "Quirkless?! So you haven't heard of his feats during the exam!?" He asked in disbelief.

Kyushiro and the others watched Midoriya (A/N: I'm gonna start referring to characters by how Kyushiro would refer to them) swing his arm back and throw the ball with a lot of intensity, just for it to end up being "46 Meters" Aizawa showed to the petrified boy who muttered loudly to himself

"B-But I was trying to use my quirk just now-" Midoriya panicked, worrying he'd end up last and get sent home, disappointing himself, his mother, and All Might.

"I erased your quirk" Aizawa answered him, walking over to him with his hair raised high as his eyes turned red while glaring at Midoriya who looked at him with an expression that yelled 'Why?!', "That ridiculous entrance exam... completely irrational when you consider someone like you got in somehow. I saw it... how you can't control your quirk. You'd just be incapacitated again. Were you hoping someone would step in to help afterwards? Whatever you were planning... it would have inconvenienced those around you" Aizawa then went on a small rant of a hero who saved hundreds before sighing,

"You've got your quirk back... give it another go. Let's get this over with" His hair flowed back down as he walked away from Midoriya, Kyushiro and the other students wondering what Aizawa spoke to Midoriya about.

"Maybe Sensei Aizawa gave him some pointers?" Iida depicted.

"Yeah, the pointer to leave this school" Bakugo scornfully added, not noticing the eyes of Kyushiro that glanced at him, 'Seems he and that Midoriya guy have a history...' He looked back at Midoriya before shrugging, 'Oh well, not my problem' and focusing on the fact he was likely next to do the throw.

With Midoriya's second chance, Aizawa and the class watch Midoriya swing his arm once more. This time, however, Aizawa hadn't cancelled his quirk which caused the ball to go flying whilst a shockwave stronger than Bakugo's knocked the students back a few steps.

The device beeped, and Midoriya's finger had completely broken, "705.3m" The device showed. Out of happiness that his plan had worked, Midoriya dramatically clenched his hand with the broken finger and looked at Aizawa, "Sensei... I did it!" He said

"This kid...!" Aizawa smiled, secretly proud of Midoriya's method to throw the ball.

'Bit dramatic much, no?' Kyushiro looked around and decided to keep his thoughts to himself as most of his classmates seemed to be touched by the scene, causing him to shake his head, 'Seriously, what is this? Some kind of anime?' His questions grew as he watched Bakugo charge at Midoriya before being restrained by Aizawa and getting thrown back in place.

"Next up, Kyushiro Kurama" Aizawa called. Kyushiro, hearing his name, stepped into the middle of the circle, "You know the rule by now" Aizawa tiredly sighed, earning a nod from the boy who had heard the rule to stay within the circle over 10 times now - seriously, how does one manage to hear the rule over 5 times and still manage to do the ONE thing they can't?

"Throw when you're ready" Aizawa said.

Due to his quirk being a mutant quirk, Aizawa figured that Kyushiro couldn't really do much other than throw it with his physical strength. Which he did.

With his right arm behind him, Kyushiro stepped forward with his left foot and swung his arm forward. Before releasing the ball, he twist his hips and legs to get more power in the throw, 'Ah, shit- I forgot to stretch' He slightly winced as his arm pained a little.

Kyushiro turned to his classmates and saw that their hair was dishevelled. First Midoriya with his shockwave, and then Kyushiro with his; even if it may have been slightly smaller and weaker, "647.9m" The device showed, earning a small grunt from the boy who stretched his slightly pained arm.

'Not too bad, I guess' Kyushiro yawned, getting back in line.

The sixth event was a long distance run. This race wasn't necessarily about how fast you could run, but rather how long you could run for. In other words, Iida lapping everyone with his quirk meant nothing as he was one of the first to fall. The last 3 students to fall were Bakugo (Who was powered up by his anger for Midoriya), and Kyushiro, who would've likely won if it weren't for Yaoyorozu 'cheating' by creating an electric scooter which allowed her to last for pretty much an infinite amount of time.

The second to last event was seated toe touch. Pretty much every student completed in touching their toes except a few who were held back by their muscles such as Shoji (He went to use his quirk to duplicate his arms to reach it, but Aizawa disallowed it), Sato and Kirishima.

Finally, sit-ups. The students didn't really see why this was important, but they went along with it. Kyushiro stopped at 73 sit-ups, giving him second place. He was also starving and tired - his 'reasoning' for losing to Midoriya who stopped at 82 sit-ups. The rest of the students, excluding the likes who worked out such as Kirishima, Sato, and Shoji, hadn't even reached 40.

'Then again, if it weren't for my quirk being a 'Mutant' quirk, I wouldn't be sure how much I could actually do. I haven't worked out a day in my life' Kyushiro thought to himself, exhaling and inhaling exhaustedly with aching abs - though he wouldn't admit that.

Once the event ended, Aizawa allowed the students to go to the restroom if they needed before they stood in front of him just like how they did at the start.

"Moving along. Time for the results. Your total scores simply reflect your performance in each of the events. Explaining the process would be a waste of time, so all you get are the final rankings" He pressed a button on his device he used the whole time which created a hologram of the rankings, "Also, I was lying about expelling someone" He suddenly announced, causing the students' hearts to drop, "That was a rational deception meant to bring out the best in you" He stated, angering the students who thought expulsion was actually on the line.

With a small smirk, Kyushiro felt it was only natural that he was first place in the rankings, 'Momo Yaoyorozu, then Shoto Todoroki' He looked at the boy with a scar on his face and two-coloured hair, 'Then those Bakugo and Iida Guys. And Tokoyami' He looked at the boy with a bird head, 'Not a bad bunch'. Last, no one's surprise, was Izuku Midoriya

"Anyway, we're done here. Your documents about the curriculum and such are back in the classroom. Give them a look" He told the class, instructing them to return to class, "And Midoriya, have recovery girl fix you up" He said, handing the boy a letter to go to the nurse's office, "Tomorrow's trials aren't gonna be any easier" He announced, the bodies of class 1-A shaking a little as they wondered what the next trial could possibly be.

Surprisingly enough, the quirk tests seemed to take pretty much the whole day to finish. With a small groan, Kyushiro was annoyed that he had only fully woken up as soon as the tests had ended - how annoyingly funny.

"Yo, fox-dude!" Kyushiro, ignoring the shit nickname, turned around to see a familiar red-haired dude and a rather plain-looking guy with black hair walking over to him once they exited the classroom to leave school.

"Wassup" Kyushiro nodded slightly, not minding that the two boys sandwiched as he walked in the middle, "And call me 'Kyushiro' or 'Kurama', not 'Fox-Dude'. Shit name, by the way" He corrected.

"Damn, first-name basis already?" The black-haired boy questioned, his eyebrows slightly raised.

"I don't really care about that stuff, a name's a name" Kyushiro answered, simply shrugging as he didn't care whether people called him by his first name or not.

"I'll stick with Kurama 'til we're closer, that cool with you?" The red-haired boy asked, earning a "Sure" from Kyushiro, "Right. That name's Eijiro Kirishima, nice to meet you" He held his hand out towards Kyushiro who shook it calmly, "Judging by where people were sat before you arrived late, we'll be seatmates practically" He said.

"Ah, really now?" Kyushiro nodded, seemingly fine with that thought, "Let's get along then, Kirishima" He then turned to the black-haired boy, "And you?" He asked.

"Hanta Sero" The boy pointed to himself, "I sit beside Kirishima, so we're practically seatmates as well. Let's get along, yeah?"

"Fine by me" Kyushiro snickered a little, turning to Kirishima walking on the left of him, "Just no more shitty nicknames"

And so, with some new acquaintances made, Kyushiro calmly walked home with the first day of school over and done with. Though, he must admit, he was slightly disappointed with U.A. so far, 'Let's see if the 'trial' tomorrow is any fun'
