Chapter 3: Getting into UA
"Congratulations, You have been admitted into UA. I am your principal Nezu. Monkey D Luffy, I invite you to join the world of Heros!" I see a small rat/bear giving me my 'personalized introduction' speech.
I got into the top place in the practical test, but I barely passed the written exam.
I got 80 Villain points and 120 points for rescue.
My class is also 1-A, the class with AOE (Area of Effect) quirks. Well, mainly, there are some useless people there.
As I sit in my home, thinking about my first day tomorrow, I start making my next protein shake.
For the past few years of my life, I have barely been getting by, thinking my quirk is useless but still trying to think of creative ways to use it.
Now though, I know more creative ways of using it, so I have to change the ways I deal with my life.
First, I can stop saving money for now, when I get my provisional license in the future I will be able to make more money.
Next, I need to bulk up.
If I am not wrong, my devil fruit has changed the potential limiters of my strength to be higher, so from now on, I have to focus on getting my base strength to learn Armament Haki.
I have to increase my strength to learn Haki and also practice using my gears and attacks more.
I also have to learn Observation Haki.
I don't know if I have Conqueror's Haki, but I guess if I do it will eventually how up in the future.
For now, I need to eat, train, study and repeat.
If I am not wrong, with my current abilities I am at least top 5 in class 1-A in terms of abilities.
I don't have experience but I certainly have a variety of attacks.
If I can learn Haki and master Gear 4, I will probably be at All-Mights level in his prime.
If I can master internal destruction, I will at least be stronger than Prime All might.
But mainly…if I can awaken my devil fruit and hit Gear 5, I will be invincible in this world.
But can I hit Gear 5? If I am not wrong, to hit Gear 5 for this fruit, its user has to be completely free. Free from all worries, even death? I am just conspiring since I do now know.
Anyways, for now, I need to build physical strength up and the best way to probably do that is at UA itself.
I should probably try to learn some Martial Arts of this world and the marines. I should take advantage of the state of the Art facility in UA.
Maybe meet Nezu and form a training plan…
I also need to make sure to stay out of the Spys way so that All For One doesn't hear about me before the sports festival.
It's not a lot to do, I can handle the academics in UA being a year 2 University student, I just need to train.
Yes…I will not be wasting my time with whining children.
As Top G would say, you stop you die, you need to keep moving forward like a shark.
…
I wear the Uniform sent to me, which fits me well and get an Ipad instead of a notebook.
Something I ordered with more than half the money I have, an Ipad and an apple pencil. This is mainly to take notes. I never understood why people 200 years more advanced than modern time still use notebooks when you literally have the option of digitally taking notes.
I left for school which was a 30 minute walk for me, which I don't mind making everyday.
Walking in, I saw all different types of students coming in, even though it was 30 minutes earlier than normal school time and the first day of school.
People here are really…motivated to study huh…well I mean it is the most competitive school in the world.
I walked through the entire first main building, until eventually I was able to find Eraser Head.
I walked up to him and asked, " Hi sir, my name is Luffy and I am a first year student. Is there any way we can meet with the principal of the school?"
He looked at me with lazy eyes as he asked," Why would you want to meet the principal?"
"I have some questions about the school scholarship policy…and about if you even had any. I also want to ask about how we can use the school facilities."
He looked at me with the same eyes as he replied," This matter can all be taken care of by your homeroom teacher, the principal is a busy man, he can't have every student want to meet him for simple questions. I am sure your questions will be answered later so go to class."
Right as he said that, I saw Vlad-King walk towards us…with Nezu eating what seemed to be a mint ice cream cone on his shoulder.
Aizawa and I made eye contact again. He seemed a little embarrassed but didn't say anything in particular.
"Nonsense Aizawa, I am always free to answer questions." He said, as he slowly climbed down from Vlad with one arm holding the ice-cream.
He looked extremely cute and his fur seemed extremely soft.
He walked up to me and put both his arms out, asking me to carry him.
I was a bit flustered, but still did as he so politely asked and placed him onto my shoulders, and I was right, his fur is extremely soft.
"I use conditioner everyday hehe, it's my secret." He said, whispering into my ear.
Vlad and Erazer leaver, but not before Erazer saying," Homeroom starts in 10 minutes Nezu."
"Ahh yes, ok." Nezu said, as he raised his hand to wave them goodbye.
"Now Mr Luffy, what was your question again?"
Am I really going to repeat myself to someone who's brain processes stuff faster than supercomputers?
"Hi sir, I want to ask if the school provides any scholarships." I asked.
"We do, to everyone. It's called waving your school fees temporarily." He replied calmly, liking his ice cream and pointing me in a certain direction.
I walked as I rephrased me question," I mean, does the school provide any money for students who do well in classes"
"No. We are already giving you good equipment and the best teachers in the world. Not including the fact that you will already be famous with the school festivals, the second you graduate you will be earning decent amounts of money."
I nodded, already expecting this. Before I could continue though, he said.
"But I do understand the situation you're in, I am pretty sure I can work something out for you. Meals are already provided at Lunch, but I can add breakfast and dinner for you too. Other nutritional supplements as well if you need." He says, probably seeing through my intention to eat more to gain muscle.
Now, the easy part is out of the way.
