Chapter 6: Status Check and New Friend

(3rd Person POV)

At the hospital Kodai laid on the bed with closed eyes as he was just taking a nap. This scene would be normal if not for the fact that he was in the same position for a little more than 2 days.

Immediately after his collapse his family rushed over to see the situation with extreme worry in their eyes. Seeing that he was not responding to their calls, they immediately called the best hospital in the country to send an ambulance and see what was wrong with their son. They hoped that that weird lightning that struck him when he was awakening didn't produce any problems when he was manifesting his quirk. From the looks of it though, him becoming a ripped 15m monster erased most of their worried thoughts when they started to think calmly.

When the doctors were checking on him to see any abnormalities in Kodai's body, they discovered a tree like picture engraved on his chest. The tree in the picture looked like a sapling and had 6 orbs on the top. One could see that one of the saplings branches were connected to an orb and the orb glowed in a yellow light.

When the doctors saw this, they proceeded to examine the mark. They could tell that it contained immense quirk energy but couldn't identify what it exactly was. From the reports from Kodai's family they concluded that it was a type of body transformation quirk but couldn't identify the rest and would have to ask the boy once he woke up. They decided to check the other tests and found out that everything was fine but his body contained an immense vitality within it. They guessed that it was needed for his transformation.

When they gave the reports of the tests to Masaru and Konomi, they were relieved and decided to wait by his side until he woke up.

Like that 2 days had passed.

(Kodai POV)

"U-Ugh, where am I?" I woke up to find my head hurting like crazy as I start to recollect what I experienced in the dream.

'If what's shown in the dream true, then I must start my training as soon as possible' I thought as I started to get up and make a sense of my surroundings.

I looked around and was greeted by medical instruments and papers that seemed to have my personal information. Seeing that there were medical reports as well as my parents signatures on them I concluded that I was in a hospital room.

While I was looking around, the door to my room opened to reveal a 11 year old blond haired purple eyed girl cautiously looking around. When she saw me up, she revealed a bright smile and ran over too me with residual tear marks near her eyes.

"Ko-kun!!" yelled Yu as she tackled me on the bed. I was shocked by the sudden tackle but then saw a familiar figure hugging my body.

"Nee-Chan, look I'm fine see, no injuries." I consoled my sister and tried to calm her down as she was silently sobbing on my shirt. When she calmed down, the rest of my family and a middle aged doctor came in surprised by my sisters yelling. When they saw me, my parents were overjoyed and rushed to me to pull me in their embrace for a relieved hug. I tried to calm me down but they pulled me in their embrace tighter until I had to signal the doctor to stop them before I suffocate.

The doctor was looking at us with a soft smile until he caught my signal where he chuckled a bit and then coughed to get my parents attention.

"*Cough*, Well now lets let Kodai get some air, you're gonna suffocate him at this rate if you continue to squeeze him." said the doctor as my parents and sister finally realize what they were doing.

They pulled me out of their embrace and start to examine me like a parent to see if I am really alright. When they see my face they were startled at the new features they seem to see.

"Ko-Chan your eyes!" exclaimed my mother as she seemed shocked when she looked into my eyes.

I was confused at first but when the doctor handed me a mirror I was a little shocked at what I saw.

The eyes were identical to the founding titans with the pale blue eyes with purple streaks stemming from the pupil as it was emitting light. I also had the red line marks around my eyes that usually appears after titan shifter exit their titan forms. I guessed that they were always going to appear as the muscles connecting my eyes always ripped off when I exited the nape. Anyways with these two features, especially my eyes, added a layer of strength and mystery to my already handsome self.

After admiring myself for a minute I put down the mirror and explained to both the doctor and my family that its just an after effect of my transformation. After hearing my words they were both relieved and curious of what exactly my quirk was. I mean, its not everyday you see a person turn into a monster after being hit by a lightning bolt. They then proceeded to ask me about what my quirk was especially the doctor who was going to record for official documentation.

"So Kodai, could you tell me what your quirk is and what is the mark on your chest? It looks like a tree but I doubt its a wood type quirk as your parents said you transformed into a monster and we didn't detect any plant type energy when we were examining your quirk. The only thing we know is that your quirk is not fully awakened due to detecting latent quirk energy within your body." explained the doctor as he was looking at me with curiosity.

Hearing his words I looked at my chest to see what he was talking about. There I saw a tree with 6 orbs around it with 1 of the orbs connected to the tree by a branch. This tree looked familiar then it hit me that this is the Paths tree that only the Founder can access. I guessed that the orbs represent the different titan forms.

'Hmm... should I tell them the truth? I don't want All for One to get any information on my quirks before I unlock some more forms in case something happens. I guess I'll just give a lukewarm answer then.

"My quirk is called Titan shifter that allows me to create a body of flesh and bones that possess superior strength that I call a Titan. The lightning bolt that my parents probably explained to you is my quirk energy manifesting outside then striking me to ignite the transformation. For the 6 orbs I'm not sure as of yet, sorry about that." I said while pretending to look disappointed.

I don't want people to find I can transform into 7 different forms or else myself and my family will probably take me as a potential threat and will keep me under watch which I don't want to happen.

The doctor looked at me for a while then started to record what I said on the piece of paper. My family looked at me amazed as they thought that I had a pretty powerful quirk and could one day be a powerful hero. When my sister heard this, she looked at me in awe and then determination.

'I need to get stronger so I can always protect Ko-kun! Also Ko-kun has a similar quirk to me so we can practice!' thought my sister excitedly as she also wanted to become a hero to both gain fame as well as protect her family.

After all the medical check questions were done we were free to leave so after some pleasantries we decided to leave the hospital and called our butler Alfred to come pick us up. Alfred came in our limousine and we drove back to our mansion.

Once we arrived home my parents started to do their work while my sister went to do her homework while I was gonna experiment on my new powers. I went to the training ground and decided re-test my strength, speed and senses cause I was feeling a little of the headache when my senses first awakened. I also constantly felt my stamina depleting and couldn't find out why.

'What the hell is happening?' as I thought while becoming more and more tired.

I then thought of what part of the Titan was still activated and realized my eyes looked like the founding Titans. I tried stopping energy from going into my eyes and they when from Founding eyes (Authors note: that's what I'm going to call them from now on) to my normal deep purple eyes and felt my senses go back to normal.

'Interesting, it looks like when I supply energy into my eyes my body gets stronger and senses are enhanced while my stamina drops sharply. Well that's the first step in training then as I don't want to pass out every time I turn into a Titan.' I thought as I proceeded with the tests.

I proceeded with the tests and found out my strength increased by 1% and I can make a little dent in the metal wall with my tiny fist. My speed and senses increased by the same amount. I did some other tests and found out what Titan to currently train for.

'Since right now I lack in defense, its better to train that and unlock the Armoured Titan in the process. I'm not sure how long it will take but after that I'll try to unlock the jaw for its speed and its reflexes. For now though lets train in stamina and endurance.' with that thought he started to go on a treadmill and begin training

Like that a year has passed.

(3rd Person POV)

Kodai is now 5 years old but is as tall as a 6 year old. His muscles are developing into a lean build but there is still baby fat that will go as he grows older and trains more.

Due to the drive to become more stronger, his sister started training more seriously as well and achieved a somewhat partial expansion after Kodai gave some hints and achieved a form where only her body grew while her limbs remained the same. Although her form looked weird, she was developing in the right direction which made Kodai happy as she was getting stronger.

As for Kodai himself, he requested to learn martial arts after he awakened his quirk. His parents were both proud and worried about him as he was still training his body despite getting a powerful quirk and so young at that but worried that he would give up mid-way through. He assured them that it's definitely not gonna turn out like they imagine and they decided to trust him. After a couple months of learning different style of martial arts such as karate, Judo, Jujitsu etc., both his parents as well as his teacher thought of him as a genius and started to up his training. Maybe it was because he had the Attack Titan that he could learn martial arts with ease and it made sense as well as Eren in AoT learned Annie's take down after looking and experiencing it once. Because of the continuous training, he started to develop muscles, but not too much to look weird on a kid.

He also retrained his senses and using more Titan strength in human form though the progress was slow as he only managed to increase the strength by 0.3%. He also still had to wear headphones to block his hearing as well as he finds it hard to control the senses in his ears (Author: Its super strange).

He also tried doing the thing does Izuku does with One for All where glowing red appears on his body lines and green lightning surrounds him when activating his quirk. He tried imitating this form as technically both their powers come from the same source. He noticed that he could achieve a similar effect by concentrating titan power in his arms thus giving the red lines in a different pattern as well as the same lightning when he transforms into a titan. Even though he could achieve a similar looking form, he knew he couldn't nearly be as strong as One-for-All using his human form as his strength lies in his Titans while Izuku's quirk relies on the body enhancements and latent quirks that OFA gives him. Kodai didn't get depressed over this as the transformation aspect of his quirk was his true power with the body enhancement being an added bonus.

His stamina also improved to the point where he can hold Founding eye form for 2h while he could hold his Titan form for little over an hour.

Overall his life was going steady when one day his parents brought guests over for dinner.

When he saw the guests he was stunned but then was happy when he saw a black haired little girl hugging the legs of a woman with the same face as her but brown hair and eyes talking with his mother.

These guests were the Yaoyorozu family's Lady of the house Aiko Yaoyorozu as well as the princess of the house as well as his previous life's crush Momo Yaoyorozu.

The reason he wanted his family to be close to this family as well as get a charm skill that could implant a seed of love for someone of his choosing was for this moment. He wanted to make Momo his girlfriend, obviously not now but when they are teenagers so he needed to make a good and lasting first impression when they were kids to make it easier in the future when he eventually asks her out.

Thinking about his plans, he activates his charm skill intensity at 60% and walks over to them.
