Hometown

"Okay, Salient and... " Everyone turned to the second lady following Felicity.

Strange. They didn't even notice her or ask her what her name is, but they know that two girls are following Felicity.

"I'm sorry, what's your name?" Leo ask her and the young lady chuckle.

"Mari Zee"

"Is that some kind of nickname?" Ryan asks

"If that's what you want to call it, I can take it" she replies with a smile and Ryan smiles widely.

LiLi turns to see Chloe with her head bowed and it's like she's thinking. What can be so troublesome that will make them quarrel? Even Leo noticed the separation the past few days.

"Okay. Mari, you'll lead Salient into the gates saying that he's your nephew or little cousin" Felicity say and Mari carried little Salient.

"You ready boy?" she asks.

Salient nods childishly and they went to the gates.

LiLi and the rest watched from the bushes. The guard on the right walks upto Mari and smacks her legs just under her butt.

"What are they doing?" Felicity hushed in the darkness.

Just as she asked, Salient and Mari are let into the gates.

"Was that some kind of test or what?" Leo asks when they withdrew from the bushes.

"I deliberately place you guys as the last set of people entering those gates. What's going on Ryan and Chloe?" Felicity asks and Chloe bit her lip and diverted her gaze to LiLi, who also stares at Felicity surprised.

"You have been apart for some days now. Is everything okay between the both of you?" Joe asks.

Ryan turns to stare down at Chloe beside him.

Her head is bowed and she doesn't move or even attempt to. "We are okay" she whisper audibly.

"Are you sure?" Leo ask and Ryan just stare.

She don't answer, so Ryan helps her out.

"Yes. We are fine"

I stare at Chloe waiting for her answer but nothing comes out of her mouth. What was the argument about that made them to not even look at each other's feet. Joe? Is Joe any serious topic that they should discuss and offend each other with their words?

"We will come back to this when we get into the gates. Peril will soon close... " I say, trying to soften the intense moment between all of us.

"We are not through with this" Felicity say.

"Both of you next, so go on" Leo says

The both of them refuse to stare at each other as they walk to the gates.

"You better hold hands if you don't want a striking thunder to meet you there" Felicity hushed loudly so that they'll hear.

"Jeez girl, why are you taking it that hard on them?" I ask and she glares at me.

"Sorry jeez" I say, my hands up in defeat. Her eyes can send men packing.

"Chloe?" Ryan calls Chloe softly and she turns to face him. They walk in silence for a while before Ryan speaks up.

"I... I wanted to... "

"Not now" Chloe hushed as they stood in front of the guards.

Ryan boils inside. He is trying to apologize and she is saying not now? Does she thinks he have time for this, anyway?

The guards scan them thoroughly with their eyes. The soft face of Chloe captivating the tough looking one.

"Where are you coming from and why are you here?" The one that's easily captivated asks.

"We're from Sorul and we have come to see a family member" Ryan answers boldly, the once soft voice he used to call Chloe has vanished.

"Are you siblings? Or... "

Ryan hates this part. He don't want to call someone that's arguing with him his girlfriend. And he sure as hell don't want a sister.

There's too many sisters these days.

"I am engaged to him. We're engaged"

Ryan felt the feeling to raise a brow at her. It's just a plan work, it isn't real life! He uses these words to encourage himself to not let this woman get into his head.

"Oh... Right this way"

They're let in with ease but a slight facial expression of disappointment hit the guard that once got captivated by her.

The tough and muscular looking one.

"Okay. They got in" LiLi hushes as they stare at themselves.

Who will be next?

"Felicity and Joe, is your turn" Leo says and the both mentioned didn't argue.

They held hands, which made LiLi and Leo stare at each other with raised eyebrows.

"This is new" Leo said as they both stare at the newly hands-tied couple.

Entering the gates is very easy for them.

The guards didn't ask much questions but just waved their hands and the both of them went in.

Huh, guess they're a bit tired of all the engagement and she's my younger or older sibling thing.

They need someone that's single! Someone that they can enjoy in pleasure.

But that's not them, right?

LiLi lies on the ground beside Leo as they stared at the sky, the sun is setting.

"LiLi.... "

"Hmm?"

They both look at each other. Leo on his knees while LiLi is lying straight on the ground.

"Promise me something, will you?"

"What is it?"

There's curiosity in the eyes of LiLi. It is very visible.

"Promise me you won't go rough on this journey. I will always be by your side... But please don't take risks. I want you alive, please" There is anxiety and worry in the eyes and voice of Leo.

LiLi smiles and nod slowly.

"I promise" she whispers.

The tense feeling can be felt in between them. Love and Lust for each other made their hearts to jump to their throats.

Leo couldn't take it anymore and he just let himself go and caged her spirit, soul and body with his, sucking her lower lip and LiLi immediately felt butterflies in her stomach. She don't want to let go and so does Leo, but they do when they hear the bell, signifying the closure of the gates.

"Let's go" LiLi and Leo left to the gates, Leo firmly holding her hand as they went.

"Where from and why you here?" the tough looking guard ask.

The guard beside the tough looking one scans LiLi though. Analysing over her shape, walk, asking himself whether she'd be a good person for him.

They both look at each other and stand straight.

The tough looking guard stare at LiLi. LiLi feels uncomfortable and starts asking herself why she didn't think of making up a little so that she won't be recognized.

She was a little girl when she left Perilous, who the hell will recognize her. And if anyone does, that person might be good at remembering or might be an elder.

Or might be close to her family.

The tough looking guard walks upto LiLi and takes in a deep breath, like he is inhaling her scent.

Wait, is he trying to say she have body odour or something?! Jeez!

"You can go in" he says after a while of staring into her shirt and then into her eyes.

LiLi could feel his eyes inside her and so she drew her shirt up. His lips form a small smile and he stare into her eyes. Leo and the other guard watched each other.

There's this sense of attack and hatred that they have for each other.

"You can go in"

Leo and LiLi slowly went into the gates and the deserted and dry land of Perilous kiss their feet with a cold breeze and a rocky environment.

"This is my hometown"
