A gentle sensation and a soothing atmosphere. Despite being unconscious due to the severe shock, Roland was still able to open his eyes with a sense of calm.

"What happened?" asked Roland looking up at the ceiling of his own room.

Elsi held her husband's hand lovingly. "You fainted after hearing Mister Zhen's statement."

Roland held his head which was still a bit dizzy. He tried to sit up while holding his head. "Fainted? Mister Zhen?"

He realized what had happened and immediately looked around as if searching for something. "Where is he? Where are Mister Zhen and Alice?"

"I... I'm here... Father," said Alice who was sitting next to the bed while bowing her head.

Roland looked directly at his daughter. "Why didn't you tell me that you had become such a woman?!"

Alice could only look down and sob a little. "I'm sorry, father."
