Lens Of Love

Billy checked his phone, it was Tuesday. He had a sale for a sense-targeting virus, one that could blind and deafen anyone who contracts it. It was requested to be delivered by Thursday, and he would be given $20,000,000 for it.

He had a sample of an artificial virus similar to the requested one in a stash nearby. The buyer was willing to do pick-up, so he had to give them a call.

Billy: This is Billy, the virus can be picked up tonight, but I'm going to need an item in exchange. You can forget about the money

Buyer: Oh? What would that be? Gold? Radium? We can get whatever you need…

Billy: None of that… all I need is a night vision camera, if you don't have that, well, I guess I could settle for a powerful image tube.

Buyer: I do not have the full camera, nor can I get one of them in such a quick time, I can get the image tube by tonight, however.

Billy: Great, see you in a few hours. Pleasure doing business with you

Buyer: Likewise, I'll be sure to bring the image tube.

With that, Billy ended the call. Before the meet up time, he needed to prepare two lens, and a long life video camera.

These were simple. The camera could be removed from any smartphone device, and just hooked up to a rechargeable battery. The lens could just be popped from a sheet of glass and shaped to fit the needed space.

Billy completed these two tasks within an hour. The glass proved to be a bit tedious as he needed a perfect fit for the eye sockets of his future mechanical horse. He wouldn't accept anything less.

Billy checked the time and saw he had just under an hour to get to the stash. Since he was without his horse, he needed to walk. He needed to leave now in order to reach the stash on time for the trade.

Making his way to the nearby stash a mile away, he thought about his plans of a mechanical horse. After the eyes of the horse have been completed, there would be only two requirements left remaining. However, those would be for later contemplation.

Right now, he needed to complete this trade deal.

Billy arrived at the stash and could see a black limousine arrive at the same time. From which the buyer walked out from, carrying a metallic brief case.

Buyer: Your image tube… this was the most powerful one I could find. Capable of whatever task you put it up to.

Billy: It looks perfect. Let me grab the virus, and we can part ways.

Billy walked into his stash, entering the passcode to open the small door on the side. Grabbing the box labeled "Test Virus H7", he walked back outside, closing the door behind him, which atomically locked.

Billy: Your virus.

Buyer: Great! This is exactly what I need. Here, a thank you present.

The buyer handed Billy a second briefcase, filled to the brim with hundred dollar bills, all of this money will be spent buying stashes and materials.

Billy: I appreciate it, may we do business again in the future. Goodbye

With that word, Billy turned around and left.

Once Billy returned home, he placed the money on the table and brought the image tube to his workshop. He had all the parts needed for the horses eyes. However they couldn't be assembled until the frame was created.

Billy decided to leave it for later and looked at his blueprint again. Next in line was the hardest part of the entire project… the brain.

Billy: Oh, fun, computer programming.
