"Wait. He is Rex he will lead you the way towards your residence. You will never be able to come back in just one hour if you went on your own." The muscular Zoe said as he stepped out of the camp with a young man who also had a muscular structure just like him.
The young guy Rex smiled at all of them "I am Rex I am one of the disciples of master Zoe. Let me guide you through your quarters" He said and moved towards them.
After that Ambrose and team also introduced themself to Rex.
"Now let's not waste any more time and move," Rex said with an amiable smile and started moving without even waiting for them to move. They have to run for some time to catch up to his pace.
It was good that all the four families had a beast that carried their goods or it would have been very hard for them to match his pace.
"This is the outer part of the Capital Wall. This place is separated from the capital because it doesn't have any mana formations that improve the quality and quantity of mana in the air." Rex said.
Ambrose and the team already knew about this information as Doran has already told them about this. After all, he has already been to the capital once.
"Only the people who pay enough taxes have the right to enter the walls and breath the precious mana in there. You can also buy a plot inside the wall. However, even the starting price is ten mid-grade spirit stones."
"So you lot work hard if you want your family members to breath the same air as you are breathing," Rex explained.
"Master Rex doesn't this wall stops the expansion capabilities of the Capital? After all, so many people enter the capital every year." Doran asked.
Although he has been to the capital before he doesn't know everything. There are still questions that he wanted to ask.
Rex chuckled at his words. "This wall is not real. This is just another spiritual barrier which also have an illusion formation in it. That is the reason why this wall could be easily expandable. The more people come in the City the more resource we get and more formations we could make." He explained.
An astonished expression appeared on everyone's face as they looked at the wall again. This is all an Illusion. It looked very realistic which impressed everyone in the group.
Thalia looked at the wall like she was seeing something alien. She never imagined that she would be able to live in such a magnificent place. Now her son could take in high-quality mana and become even stronger. She was very happy for him.
She doesn't care if she could enter the wall or not. All she wanted was her son to be happy and powerful. She has a wide smile on her face as she looked at her surrounding.
Houses here were very different from the Village. Every one of them was made of bricks and cement. And they looked big. They were bigger than any house in their village.
Even the air here was better than the village.
The first house they went to was actually Thalia's. "Ok, you two get settled here. I will be back after showing the rest of their houses. Make sure to not make me wait or I will leave." Rex said to Ambrose.
Ambrose nodded at his words and helped his mom settle down in the house. Rest of them bid them farewell and moved away. Ambrose looked around and saw that there were many houses around with the same design as the one they got.
All of them has a little yard in the front where some crops could be grown and a shed. Where Mana Beasts could be kept. Ambrose also spotted some people in other houses tending to their crops and animals.
Both him and thalia went into the house. There were two rooms a kitchen and proper sanitation. And there was even a small hall where the dining table was placed with two chairs.
Thalia smiled looking at the house and both of them started arranging the stuff quickly. The molten beetle wanted to help them however it was too small and as for the Blaze Jinx, she was too lazy to even open her eyes.
After about half an hour, Ambrose settled down all the things in the house and then took out a white coloured pouch from his pocket. "Mom take this. It has some money and a Spirit Stone. I will try to come back as much as I could. And Doran has told me that there is a market in this place."
"You can sell some crops there and buy stuff from there if I do not come for some time," Ambrose said. Although he wanted to come as often as possible he didn't know what his situation could be in the Academy.
So he gave her advice to grow crops here. He even left his Molten Beetle in the house to both protect his mom and help grow some crops and herbs. As the beetle has growth accelerating properties.
"Don't worry about me too much. Just focus on your training." Thalia said with a smile on her face. She was proud of Ambrose. The little son of hers has already grown big.
Ambrose smiled back at her words and looked at his Beetle. "Little Guy I will be back for you once I have enough money to buy a house in the Walls." He said.
The Molten Beetle buzzed its wings in agreement. He loved food cooked by Thalia so it was no problem for it to stay here for a few days.
"Come out It's time to go!" A voice resounded outside the door and both Ambrose and Thalia quickly stood up from the wooden chairs. The yellow glutton also stood up and yawned, it started following him silently.
Ambrose reached outside and meet up with Nelson, Doran, Lulu and Rex. Ambrose finally nodded at Thalia and then started moving away with the team.
Thalia looked at his disappearing back and sighed. She then turned around and returned to her new house. The Molten Beetle also buzzed behind her.
'Be Careful.' She prayed and closed the wooden door.
"You left your Beetle away?" Nelson asked.
"Hmm..." Ambrose nodded at him. He looked on his shoulder and saw that his molten Beetle was on his shoulder. He didn't need to leave the molten Beetle as his father was still there.
"Don't worry dude, our houses are very close," Nelson said with a smile. When Ambrose heard him a relaxed expression appeared on his face. If that was the case then Geis could definitely help his mom if she needs something.
Soon enough the team reached in front of the huge Gate. It was made up of wood completely with big iron spikes on it. Many guards were standing in front of the open gates. They had a blue coloured armour on their bodies and looked very domineering.
"Anyone that wanted to enter the capital needs to pay their taxes there." Rex pointed at a small wooden room at the corner of the Gate. There were three guards there collecting money from the passing Carriages and Caravans.
"However, since you are the disciple of Golden Falcon Academy you are exempt from the taxes till you and your team is doing one mission per month," Rex said.
"Till we are doing our missions?" Ambrose asked with a curious expression.
"Yes if you failed to do your mission. You will be charged with a penalty and that penalty will go to the Capital taxes. And if you are unable to pay it the Academy could even kick you out." Rex looked at the gates and smiled.
"Just take your missions seriously and always be on good terms with your team members. That is the only advice I will give you for now. And here these are your student Identity badges let me give you your first mission. Reach the academy before the sun falls." Rex said and tossed some tokens at them with their name on it.
"What happened to master Zoe. Wasn't he suppose to escort us in the Academy?" Doran asked.
Rex chuckled at his words. "Master Zoe is a busy person. Be grateful that he came personally to take you here. Now don't waste my time and get going."
Rex then started moving towards the camps. Ambrose looked at him moving and then he also started moving in.
"Let's go," Ambrose said.
Nelson came behind him and also started moving. "Man I can't believe we are here. I once dreamed of being at this place and now as it has turned true it all seems like a dream." He said with a smile.
Doran and Lulu also moved behind them.
"I don't think this would be as good as we thought it will," Ambrose said.
"What do you mean you like your Village more than the Capital?" Lulu asked and Doran also looked at Ambrose curiously.
"Yes, why do you think it will be not as good?" Nelson also spoke out.
Ambrose looked at them and then looked at the Gate silently for a few seconds and then opened his mouth. "Why do you think Missions are so important?"
