As Lilith casts darkness on the other side of town-Jaymie Claire is under so much stress because Ian Gabriel promises to visit her house.
"Claire, will you please stop walking in front of the television?"
"Sorry, mom," I replied shyly.
"Mom, is it okay? Because I promise I will not entertain suitor until I'm not eighteen," I added and seated next to her.
"Claire, I never said dont entertain suitor. All I want is for you to be at the right age before you enter into a relationship,"
I smiled broadly, "Thank you, mom, and I promise I'll be responsible in my future relationship, "I said. Still, in my mind, I'm sure I won't be able to fulfill it. Ian Gabriel's effect on me is too strong. Once he touches me, I can no longer control myself.
A few minutes later, my phone rang, and it was Gabriel.
"Hey beauty, will you please open the door?"
"I'm warning you. Please behave yourself," I whisper and walk to open the door.
"Ha Ha Ha, since it's my first time meeting your mom, I will behave and try not to touch you," Daniel responds.
I turned off the phone before opening the door. A bunch of red roses popped up in front of me.
"A beautiful flower for a beautiful lady," Daniel said and handed me the flower.
"Hmm, this is your first time, but I will tell you- I hate red and prepare white roses," I said jokingly as I received the flower.
"That's not a problem," Daniel responds and utters some enchantment.
My eyes widened as the rose I was holding changed color.
"Now you're prepared colored-" Daniel whispered and smirked.
"Shit!" I curse and look outside the house to see if there are people.
"Please dont do that! Im warning you, don't use magic when Im with you," I warn, but Ian Gabriel just smiles.
"Claire, what took you so long? Why haven't you let your friend in yet?"
I looked inside the house, hearing my mother call, "Gabriel, I'm warning you," I looked at him seriously and walked into the house.
Ian Gabriel immediately introduced himself to my mother when we entered the living room.
"Marquez? Are you relatives with the residence near the lake? "
"Yes, my great grandfather is the owner of that lake," Gabriel answered.
"Hmm, I didn't know that the rich man had a son. He hasn't been out in a long time. How is your father?"
"He hates going out," Daniel sparingly answers.
"That's great news. We thought he was gone because the house was always closed and no one came out,"
'"Mom, isn't the soap opera you're watching about to start?" I cut my mother mumbling because I noticed that Daniel was uncomfortable with the topic.
"Oh, yeah, I almost forgot," My mother quickly picked up the remote and turned on the TV.
"Mom, we'll just hang out at the treehouse," I said and pulled Daniel to his feet.
"Okay, but be careful and bring some food,"
"Thanks, mom," I answered and walked into the kitchen, still holding Daniel's hand.
"Hmm, Am I too obvious?" Daniel asked when we reached the kitchen and let go of him.
"Yeah, but I don't want to ask about your relationship with your family. It's too early," I utter and open the ref to get some drinks.
Daniel smiled and did not comment.
----------------------------------------------------------
"Are you sure it's still safe to use this treehouse?" Daniel asked when he saw the condition of the hut. It was old and seemed fragile.
"Hmm, I'm not sure if it can manage two people," I replied and started to climb the rope ladder.
"Come one, it's beautiful here," I call when I get to the treehouse.
'"Yeah, it's beautiful here,"
I jumped in panic hearing Daniel's voice behind me, and because of my sudden movement, I lost my balance.
"Ahh," I scream and try to grab something that will prevent me from falling to the ground.
"Claire!" Daniel reached my hand, but it was too late.
I closed my eyes, thinking this was my end. But a few seconds later, I still didn't feel anything painful, so I opened my eyes.
"Perhaps we need to work on your jumpy habit," Daniel declares while floating and moving toward me.
"Your flying?" I look at the surrounding, "Oh God, we are flying!" I exclaimed.
"You're not; I just freeze you, so you will not fall in the ground," Daniel explains; as soon as he hugged me, we immediately floated back to the treehouse.
"You really are a witch," I murmured and looked at him with amazement.
"Love, warlock..." Daniel correction.
When we landed at the treehouse, I immediately turned around not to fall again.
"I told you not to appear suddenly! Look at me; I almost die because of shock!" I preached.
"Sorry, the reason I teleport here is to ensure that it is still safe," Daniel explained.
I sighed as he approached me and hugged me.
(Calm down, Claire, it's just a simple hug,) The words play in my mind.
"Promise I won't use magic if it's not an emergency," Daniel added and held my face and looked fondly.
"Okay, I will believe you. Anyway, let's sit and have a snack. My mother and I made this brownie," I said as I let go of his embrace and arranged the snack we had packed.
"I have something to ask you about the guy who was possessed by a demon," Daniel said after a few minutes.
"I'm not sure if I can answer your question, but what is it?" I answered back.
"Did he mention anything about the child in the prophecy?"
"A child in the prophecy? No, he just wants to be my boyfriend, and when I refuse, he becomes like that," I answered, still trying to recall what happened.
"That low-rank devil wants to be your boyfriend?" Daniel murmured.
I couldn't help but smile, seeing Daniel's frown.
I was still laughing when I suddenly remembered.
"I know someone who knows about some prophecy," I state and smile.
