Today will be great. Though I still don't know who the person was, I'm so grateful for the information he gave me. I put on a black tuxedo suit. I styled my short dark hair just like Leonard DiCaprio in titanic. Not that I'm rich, not to attend the party of a celebrity, I think I need to dress like those rich people.
I smiled at the mirror and gave my reflection a thumbs up, after being satisfied with my outfit.
I peered at the time from my wristwatch, and it was 5:30 in the evening.
The red carpet would start at 6:pm and then the birthday party would kick off at 7:pm. I just cannot wait to attend the party. I'm not concerned about the red carpet, since I'm not a celebrity. Moreover, I'm very positive that the celebrant wouldn't be showing up until it was 7:pm.
I smirked at my perfect calculation. I needed to go earlier, so I could get a good opportunity to.
Get a glimpse of him. I'm not rooting for an interview, but a few photos will be nice.
I heard a little knock on my door, and I guess it was Greg.
"Hey, buddy, are you set for today?"
"Yea, you can come in," I said in excitement.
Greg opened the door slowly and walked in.
"Woah! Is this Jack in titanic?"
I smiled at Greg's question.
"Do I really have his looks now?"
"Absolutely! I never would have been able to tell the difference if not for the color of your hair."
"Then I guess I did an impressive job," I stated.
"Let me say this, I have the feeling that you're going to meet Drake and he will notice you."
I rolled my eyes at Greg, there he goes again.
"I'm not going because I want to get noticed by him, I just want to see him, even if it's from a distance," I said honestly.
"That's something. Have you found out about who sent you the information about Drake yet?"I shook my head in disapproval.
"Nope, I still can't reach whoever it was."
"Hmm, this seems kind of tricky, but then, there's no harm in trying your luck. I'm sure nothing will happen to you since it's a public gathering after all. I wish I could come with you, friend."
"Me too, Greg," I said.
"That's okay, I'll be praying earnestly for you to meet him. This way, I'll be satisfied with my arrangements," Greg said with a grin that sent me chuckling.
"Okay, Greg, I believe you."
*********
I arrived at the venue where my dream man would be making his grand entrance for his birthday.
Just as I had imagined, there were so many celebrities who stormed into the place. Carrying my materials, I found myself a place to sit. There were other journalists who were just like me as well, waiting to interview Drake. I couldn't imagine myself in the crowd and being sighted by Drake. What a fairy tale dream for me.
"That was next to impossible and I know it. I didn't have to worry that much when all I aimed for was a glimpse and a photo of him. Even if it was just his back view I got to take a picture of him, I'd be more than satisfied.
At 7:pm, the hall was filled to the brim with guests of all categories.
I didn't associate myself with the rest of the journalists, knowing what it would be like when the man I'd been waiting for appeared.
It was just as I had thought. The birthday ceremony started almost immediately.
I waited patiently for the man of my dreams, with an anxious expression.
"Kel, come on, you're just going to take some pictures of him and nothing more. You don't have to be so anxious now, do you?" I asked in my thoughts.
"Let's welcome our celebrant, Mr. Drake Arnold!" The birthday officiant announced, and that caused a deadening scream from the crowd. My heart thumped recklessly, knowing that I'd be seeing him soon.
"Calm down, man, you don't want to lose your cool just yet. Just then, he showed up, and that called for a standing ovation from the congregation.
The moment I laid eyes on him for the first time, my heart suddenly accelerated to the point that I thought it was going to get ripped out of my chest. I've never experienced such in my life before.
Why does he make me feel this way? What's wrong with me? I can't tell, all I know is that he made me feel nervous and reckless.
Those photos I saw on the internet of him were just a mirage of what the actual person looked like. He was damn handsome as fuck!
After his welcome speech, he exited the hall immediately. Now this is where I have to do my job. I need to know where he was headed, so I can take a photo of him, for a start.
Just as I left the chair I sat on, I was shocked to see thousands of journalists going in the same direction I was going. Seems I'm not the only one with the thought.
I have to find a way out for myself. I know I wouldn't be able to take a photo of him if I were to join the crowd. I looked around the place, and fortunately, I saw a passage which I could actually go through that could possibly take me to where Drake was.
I darted my eyes at the crowd who streamed in line in a particular direction before delving into the passage.
To my utmost surprise, I appeared in a dim room with different colored fancy lights.
Just then, I heard some footsteps behind me. My heart skipped, and I slowly turned around, only to be met by a group of hot men.
"So you're the famous journalist who goes around snooping for information from celebrities, huh?"
I slowly turned around to the deep husky voice I heard, and to my greatest surprise, in front of me, was the man I came for, the one I'd been instructed to get an interview from, Drake Arnold. I blinked rapidly and tried to speak to him, but at that very moment, my lips developed seizures as I stuttered myself away.
"Y…yes," I managed to utter. Apart from being the man I will be interviewing, no one knew he's the reason I've been getting wet dreams almost every night for the past five years. The hearth robe of women and men alike. He's everything a man should be, from his glittering dreamy gray eyes, to his sunny blond hair and down to his goddamn sexy body structure.
"Who do we have here, brother?"
I quickly turned my gaze to the direction of the person who had just spoken, only to be met by three other guys, who looked exactly like the man in front of me.
Rumor has it that he lived many lives, and that is precisely what I came to find out, but seeing these three other men looking like another him, I became confused to the point my knee suddenly gave up, instantly.
"Hey, hold it in, pretty boy, we won't bite." One of them said, wrapping his arm around my waist just when I was about to fall to the ground.
"E… Excuse me, w…who are you?" I asked while staring at all four of them.
"You mean, I, or the four of us?" Drake asked in a deep, husky voice.
"I think he's confused!" The one holding me said aloud.
"Well, we are the Arnold brothers, pretty boy, and my name is Damson," the one holding me said.
"Since you want to interview Drake, we can make you the most famous journalist for free, by letting you interview the four of us," the one standing beside Drake said.
I couldn't believe my eyes, it seemed like I was in a dream.
"But that comes with a price, Pretty boy." I took a quick glance at the last one, who seemed like he was the youngest of all four. He had this mischievous smile that gave me the feeling of bad vibes.
"W…what is the condition?" I found myself asking.
"Well, it's simple, you'll become our toy." The one still holding me said.
My heart sank at the mention of toys.
"W…what kind of toy?" I asked again, just to be sure.
"Well, you'll find out soon enough, pretty boy."
