Sealing Meridian

 In a mountain range, Mashia currently watching a man sitting lotus style with a hint of worry in her eyes. As she looked at him, Ina walked besides her, putting a hand on her shoulder.

 "He will be fine," she tried to calm down the dragon girl. "He has his reasons for doing this,"

 Mashia sighed, "I know, but sealing his his ability to refine the worldly energy into qi should be dangerous. If he just decided to not do it, he would have become a Genesis Core expert already,"

 "I know, but he trust his parents. This is something they told him to do, if he wish to walk the path of being the strongest. I don't know about you, but someone who created the Cultivation Art like Celestial Energy Art should know what they are doing,"

 The dragon girl merely nodded, her eyes still on his husband. Her face turned a little red. To think, she would obtained a husband in a backwater continent like the Boluron Continent. 

 Though, she did not regret it. She loved him, and he loved her. Besides, if her parents could see the talent he possessed, even they and the more conservative elder would agree to the union.

 As the one who had been the longest with him and the strongest watched their husband, the said husband is having his own struggle.

 'Hah, hah, hah,' heavy breathing escaped his lips as he tried to control his qi. It is one of the thing he needed to do to ensure the Forbidden Technique would be completed. He could understand why it is considered a Forbidden Technique, as it would require him to seal a part of his meridian.

 Meridian is important to cultivator is what allow a person to cultivate in the first place. As one absorb the worldly energy around them, it would travel through the meridian before entering the Inner Realm. 

 If something cripple the meridian, the cultivators live could be considered as over, as they would not be able to cultivate any more, they also could not hope to even use their qi without serious backlash.

 And he was about to do something to his meridian. However, he trust his parents and knew they will not teach the Forbidden Technique, or put it in the only book in his bedrooms table, for no reason.

 They likely knew achieving mastery of all the Paths as well as reaching the first level of each Cultivation Art is a near impossible feat without reaching the Genesis Core Realm first, hence the reason for the Forbidden Technique. 

 Thankfully, pain is not a perquisites to using the Technique. However, it would cause him some discomfort as he would sealed one of the most important part to a cultivator. The only good thing is that he can still use his qi, just that he would not be able to raise his cultivation.

 He turned back towards the Technique, redirecting part of his qi to his meridian. The meridian can be said to be the most robust and fragile part of the body.

 The former because it could handle the pressure of worldly energy, allowing it to be transported into the Inner Realm, while the latter is because it can be easily harmed by foreign energy, such as the qi of other cultivators, as well as backlash of certain Technique or Art, which would then lead to the cultivators turning into cripples.

 So, utmost concentration is the highest priority, one that is possible due to his current Soul Cultivation. Both it and his Body Cultivation had reach the intermediate-stage of Genesis Grand Realm, strengthening him greatly and allowing him to face even a 9th Stage Genesis Core expert.

 As for the current Soul Realm, he had reach the Corporeal Realm, which allow his Soul to interact with material object, albeit with some difficulty. With this, his concentration and increased Soul Power would no doubt help him in this perilous endeavor.

 Currently, he had finished sealing half the necessary meridian. However, it was the other hald that would be difficult, as he would not fully block it, but instead creating several dams to prevent the overflow of qi, so his cultivation would not rise.

 This made the sealing more difficult as it is more intricate and require great mastery in Formation. Thankfully, after Alchemy, next priority of profession he focused on are Formation.

 With this, he could slowly carved the necessary Formation in his meridian, slowly blocking it. Yet, despite it all, he would have no chance of succeeding if not for the Formation scroll. 

 His parents had told him to throw it to the ground before he began using the Technique. He did so, which shocked both him, Mashia and Shuri as a powerful Formation suddenly appear.

 He then find himself inside it before focusing on sealing his meridian. All the while, the Formation calm his Soul and sooth it, allowing him to craft the Formation with reduced danger. It is still there, the danger that it, just not as bad as it could be.

 Soon, he could feel the last of the seal slowly forming up, yet he knew this is the most dangerous moment. It seem the formation could detect it as well as it unleash several soothing waves, allowing him to calm down and focus on the last and most dangerous part of it all.

 As the last part of the seal formed, he could feel slight nausea but pressed on, already knowing the side effect as his parents had warned him in the book.

 The last few seconds feel like years for Ryker as he concentrate on the last part of the seal, slowly forming into a true seal capable of blocking his meridian. Once the last part was etched into his meridian, Ryker find himself collapsing, his breath uneven as sweat covered his body.

 "Huh, t-that, was intense," he said with heavy breaths, trying and failing to calm himself down. The upside is that he no longer need to calm himself down, allowing him to lie down and just rest.

 Few seconds later, the Formation flicker before dying out, allowing his two wives to rush towards him, checking his condition. Once they sure he is not a cripple, they let out sigh of relief before putting his head on their laps, letting him bask in the moment.
