Old Woman

"Is the boy the prodigy you speak of?" the Guild Leader asked, shocked by the reveal. As for the King, he was busy trying not to laugh at his friend's look.

"You already knew that he was related to the Adventure Guild," the Guild Leader said with narrow eyes.

"Of course, it is the first thing he divulge my son about. Besides, I already met him with my brother and sister," the statement cause the Guild Leader to look at him in shock.

"The three oldest members of the royal family had met with a junior in the Genesis Realm?" he asked in shock. After all, it is unprecedented and frankly, unbelievable for three Sovereign to meet a Genesis Grand Realm junior.

"It seem you had also met him to. Don't you think his potential worthy of us checking him out?" the Guild Leader thought of it some more and nodded. With how powerful he could be in the future, it is not a surprise the King would be interested in the young man, especially if his son is close to him.

"An investment in the future, I suppose," the Guild Leader said, with the King smiling at his friend.

"Of course. After all, if he become strong enough, he would remember what we did, and would help us, even if it just a little," the King replied.

"And you want to recommend him to the old headmaster," the Guild Leader state, after all, while the Adventure Guild would allow the relatively talentless cultivators to hone their skills and offer them resources with their contribution, the talented one inside the Birak Kingdom will go to the different academies under Academy Union, to learn and gain resources under a somewhat safer condition.

Sure, there would be missions that could claim their life, but without life and death challenge, a cultivator could not hope to grow mentally, as they would not be able to adapt to the constant life and death situation they would find themselves in in their path to become stronger, unless they decide to remain stagnant.

After all, there are some people that would do such thing, gaining only enough power to protect themselves and their love one.

"Yes. After all, if he show his worth, not only he could go to the Boluron Central University, he can also go to the Central Region," the King said, causing the other man to nod in agreement.

"With his talent, there is no doubt he would achieve great thing if he had better cultivation environment," the King nodded, agreeing with the other man's words.

"It just, that hag at the Craftsman Alliance would make a fuss over it," the Guild Leader said in a tone of suffering.

"Why?" the King believe he was about to hear an unbelievable thing.

"I had spoke with her before and she said the young man we want to send to the central region of Boluron Continent is a talented alchemist, blacksmith, formation master, item crafter, and inscription specialist," the King almost choke, coughing loudly as the tea go to the wrong path.

"Y-you must be joking," the King said in shock.

"No," the Guild Leader seemed to have great satisfaction of being able to make his friend surprise.

"He managed to do all that. In fact, he is a Rank 9 Alchemist, Rank 8 Formation Master and Inscription Specialist, and Rank 7 Item Crafter and Blacksmith. If you think the old hag would let someone so talented go, you have another thing coming," seeing the frozen shock look on the King's face, the Guild Leader hid his smirk behind the cup he was sipping tea from.

Truly, revenge is best serve hot.

"Natali, what are you doing?" Ryker asked the servant, who look at him in contemplation.

"I just wondering if you will let me tutor the three little one?" she asked.

"Which one?" he asked back, not sure who she meant.

"Ilina, Ezekiel and Esran," she answered, to which he merely look at her with an indecipherable look.

"Why with the sudden interest?" she seemed to be thinking the right way to say it.

"Those three seem to be interested in three different things, Ilina on leading, and organization, Ezekiel in military affair, and Esran in anything scholarly, probably leaning towards research.

While they are good, without a good teacher, they could not hope to advance their study in their respective fields, at least not quickly, they are good self-learner, but that can only go so far," Ryker contemplate her words before nodding.

"Sure, go ahead and tutor them, or if there are other better tutor you are in contact with, asked them for their help," he say before taking his leave.

She nodded though she had another reason for offering it.

"Maybe I can get him to like me. He is handsome and powerful, not to mention he is close with the Crown Prince," she said to herself with a blush.

After the talk with Natali, Ryker went towards the Craftsman Alliance. His performance had been notice by the president of the branch, an old woman. He still surprise someone would like to look like an old lady when such powerful expert could change her look and look a lot younger.

'She should have her reason,' he thought before he enter the building. It is as large as the Adventure Guild, maybe even larger. After all, unlike the Adventure Guild which is the hub for adventurers to accept missions and rewards, most of the work in the Craftsman Aliiance is done inside the building.

The moment he step in, he could feel a force pulling him away. He sighed, while the rest of the staffs and members merely glance at him before continuing what they are doing. During the first time, it had been a surprise, for both him and anyone else.

By now, the novelty had die out and the others accepted it as a common thing at this point. He let himself being pulled before he find himself inside the office.

"Miss President," Ryker gave a slight bow to the older woman, before drinking the tea prepared by her.

"It seem you not neglecting your other studies," the older woman said. It is something he had learn from all his time in the Craftsman Alliance. The old woman seem to have a nose sharper than a dog.

She could sniff out the profession one is specialize in. She explained she could sniff the herbs from an alchemist, metallic scent of a blacksmith, the wood from an item crafter, the ink from and inscription specialist, and the energy crystal on a formation specialist.

The moment he enter the place, she had sniffed all the different scent and had promptly pulled him into the office, to his chagrin. When she asked and he answered, the old woman had proclaimed she will teach him, no charge, on Item Crafting while getting 4 other elders to help with the other profession.

He accepted it as he would be a total fool to not accept it.
