Chapter 13: Trial of Planting the Seeds
‘How did I get here? Who… who brought me here? Oh my God, I’m gonna be sick. My head. Ugh, my head hurts so bad. I’ve never felt anything this bad. Wait… where am I? Why is it so dark? Oh my God… Oh. Oh God I’m gonna throw up. I’m gonna throw up. I’m gonna throw up!’
A nauseous Mason finally awoke from his painful slumber. He felt lightheaded from all the blood rushing to his head from being hung upside down after his meal with Grim. His arms, legs, and torso were all restricted from the chains and ropes the guards had trapped him with. He had no idea what was going on or where he was, which started to terrify him.
‘Hold it in. Hold it in,’ he kept thinking to himself to prevent his nervous stomach from causing him to vomit. Eventually, he was able to choke back his vomit and calmed his body down. Unfortunately for him, his mind continued to race with questions.
‘What is this place? When did I even get here? Why am I upside down? Where’d Grim go?’
