The strongest man in the world!

Poseidon gripped Mordred's blade tight and backhanded the man away. He then turned and grabbed Gawain and dashed away from the front lines and landed right next to Sir kay and the archery squad.

" Captain!" Sir Kay exclaimed.

" Take him, he needs treatment fast." Poseidon spoke. He placed Gawain on the ground and turned.

" Gah, Captain. Sorry. I guess I just wasn't burning hot enough." Gawain coughed. " Captain, Mordred's a lost cause, a traitor to the entire kingdom."

" Save your strength, Gawain. You've done enough. I'll handle it from here. You just rest up and focus on what you're gonna do when we get back home. And don't you worry about, Mordred. I'll make sure to teach him a lesson, he'll never forget." Poseidon then dashed back to the spot where he was standing before and stood over Mordred.

" Hello, Sir Vali. I've been expecting you. What took you so long?" Mordred asked.

" You don't get to say that name. You don't have respect for what it means. You never did. You know, Mordred, I didn't always dislike you. You were such a good kid, but the moment you met your auntie you changed. It's a shame you turned out to be such a shit man." Poseidon spoke.

" More of your mysterious prattle, Vali. So, pathetic. I can't believe I used to be afraid of you. But no more. I'm stronger now than I was all those years ago. You used to be able to beat on me when I was a poor defenseless kid. Let's see how you manage now. What do you say? If you're so confident, why don't you stand right there and let this hit you. Then we'll see if you can still act all high and mighty." Mordred was clearly trying to goad Poseidon into letting his guard down.

But Poseidon simply smiled. Accepting the challenge

" Alright, Mordred. I won't try to evade your attack. I'll stand right here." Poseidon told the man.

' Heh! He's taken the bait. Just like that fool Gawain. Now, Die!' Mordred raised his blade, and it started glowing red. He swung it towards his former teacher with all of his might and watched in glee as the giant red sword attack rushed towards him. " Stay right there, now! Don't move!" Mordred shouted.

Poseidon watched as the beam closed in on him. And just as it was about it hit him, he raised his hand and smacked the beam away with the back of his hand.

" Magic, I might not be the best at it. But I'm not completely helpless against it. That was pathetic Mordred." Poseidon told the man. He looked at the crater the beam left and shook his head.

" But how? That should have cut your arm completely off! How did you block it?!" Mordred asked.

" Isn't it obvious?" Poseidon asked. " Magic of this level has no effect on me."

" Okay, then try this." Mordred spoke. He raised his sword again tried to use the same attack he did on Gawain and Gambit.

" An invisible slash, that uses magic. A deadly attack for most, but...." Poseidon caught the sword in the air and stopped the strike before it could be launched. " Useless against me." Poseidon caught the blade and crushed it in his hands.

Mordred stood there gawking, as the last pieces of his sword fell to the ground.

" No... No way...." Mordred uttered. He stumbled and fell down on the ground as Poseidon loomed over him, his shadow engulfing him in darkness. " W-wait.... You wouldn't kill your own family would you, Uncle Vali?" Mordred asked.

" Poor Mordred. It's a shame I never saw you as family in the first place." Poseidon readied himself to strike down Mordred. But just as he was a portal opened up below Mordred and the man vanished. Another portal opened above Poseidon, and a slew of enemies dropped out from above, along with a giant.

" What is that?!" Jubilee screamed.

" What do it look like, girl? It's a giant." Gambit replied.

" RAAAAAAAAWWWWWWGH!" The giant roared and started swinging his giant club around wildly, smashing up friend and foe alike.

" No, way... There's too many of them. We can't beat that!" Sir Kay exclaimed.

The giant continued smashing about, until he came to his last stop.

Poseidon stood in front of the giant, unamused by its appearance.

" I thought the Asgardians, were the ones that dealt with Giants? How amusing. Okay, big guy... Let's see what you've got." Poseidon spoke.

The giant raised his club and swung it down at the man.

Poseidon raised his sword and blocked the giant's club with ease.

" NGGGGGGAAAAAAAH!" Poseidon shoved the blade upwards and launched the giant off-balance. Poseidon reached up and grabbed hold of the air. " This should paint a prettier picture." Poseidon threw his hands down and the entire earth shifted slightly off its axis.

the land shifted and the area around Morgan's castle split open.

" What the hell is going on outside?!" Morgan asked. She ran to her window, disregarding her spell, and looked outside as and watched as the world itself seemed to be flipped on its side, trembling and breaking apart violently.

" What power... I've never seen anything so unbelievable in all my life." Mordred despaired.

The knights shared Mordred's terrified point of view. Never had they seen such force of power, even from their captain.

" This is.... I've never seen him do this." Betsy exclaimed.

" Me neither." Gambit stated.

The whole crew watched as Mordred's forces stared as the world readjusted itself. The ground around Morgan's castle had vanished and was now surrounded by a massive hole-like mote.

" Tell me, auntie. Did you foresee this in your plans?" Mordred asked the woman.

Morgan didn't respond. She couldn't find the words to speak.

The dust began to clear, and a solid pair of blue eyes shined like diamonds through the rubble. Poseidon appeared to be more beast than man.

" No, man can do something like that. " Morgan exclaimed. And she was right, because Poseidon was not just a man. But a God!
