Chapter 141 Target: Green Giant

Ignorant of Li Yue's current thoughts, Tony and the others believed Li Yue's words. They had already started to discuss how to increase the strength of the Justice League.

I think we should recruit people with special talents into our Justice League. Nevermind global crisis, we lacked the manpower to handle any sort of disaster right now.

"Our forces only consisted of five people right now. Two of them are strategic-level assets, but Li Yue wouldn't participate in regular operations, so our effective manpower is just four people!

"This is obviously not enough, so our top priority should be to recruit new members," Tony proposed his idea.

He felt that the most urgent priority for the newly-established Justice League was to increase their manpower.

"I agree with Stark. We do have too little manpower. But I have to remind you, Stark, that we need strict requirement for our new members.

"We set up the Justice League to protect Earth. We can't blindly recruit people who would use our alliance to bring harm into the world."

Captain America agreed with Tony's proposal, but added his requirements. He felt the need to control the moral characters of the recruits.

"Of course, that is a given. I'm not desperate enough to recruit random criminals. Through my time as Iron Man, I have gathered a lot of relevant information.

"One of them is about a genuine monster. I think he would fit right in."

Tony smiled proudly to his audience.

"Jarvis, give us everything about Bruce Banner."

"Yes sir! Projecting information about one Bruce Banner."

Jarvis quickly complied by showing them a video.

The video showed a giant green monster fighting against the armed forces.

The soldiers seemed to be focused in catching the giant. Countless bullets rained on the green giant, disregarding their cost, but there was no sign of damage on the giant's skin.

Countless tanks and armored vehicles also fired at the giant, but they only managed to startle the giant. The giant rushed in a leap at the side of a tank, grabbing its barrel, and roared.

The giant easily lifted the tank weighing dozens of tons. The giant spun the tank a few times before throwing it out of the frame, flying for thousands of meters.

But even facing such a brutal force of nature, the commander issued no order to retreat. For some reason, he kept telling his soldiers to fight the monster head-on.

The battle continued for a few minutes before the giant retreated through a gap in the military encirclement. He jumped dozens of meters high and escaped into the woods.

The video stopped abruptly, replaced by a person's personal information. The accompanying photograph looked simple and honest.

"What do you think about the video?"

Tony asked the crowd with interest when he saw them lost in thought over the video.

"This green monster isn't half bad! I would definitely want to fight it!" Thor said excitedly.

Perhaps the power obtained through Stormbreaker had greatly boosted Thor's confidence as well. He even said that he wanted to fight the green giant.

Li Yue vividly recalled the brutal scene of the green giant beating Thor in the third Thor movie, just like what happened to his little brother Loki before that...

But the current Thor should be able to stand against the green giant. After all, Thor had gained control of his divine power through Li Yue's intervention, and even obtained the Stormbreaker. He was much stronger than the third movie version.

He might not necessarily win against the green giant, but he likely wouldn't lose either. They were about on par in strength. Li Yue silently looked forward for their fight, though he didn't know when the opportunity would arise.

"Stark, was your recruit that green monster? Its strength was very good—it probably wasn't weaker than Thor, but are you sure it could safely integrate into the team?

"Also, I don't see how it could have the capacity to process justice as we do. It didn't seem to hold back at all against the army. Nevermind recruiting it, I'm surprised that it wasn't an elimination target!" Captain America objected.

Steve obviously didn't know about the green giant, and this video was his first encounter.

He was impressed by the monster's strength, but he obviously objected its recruitment!

"Well, hold your thoughts. Let me tell you about the situation first. This green giant was not a monster, but a mutated human—"

"...Stark, what did you just say? This...thing was a human? Are you joking?"

Captain America exclaimed loudly, interrupting Tony's explanation.

"Calm your tits Captain, I was about to explain. I'll take question after I finish!

"Please direct your attention to the information screen. This is Bruce Banner. Just like me, he was a famous scientist, and he had seven doctorate! You can even say that he was a genius second only to me! And his character is definitely good!"

Tony transparently praised himself while introducing Bruce Banner, which didn't escape everyone's notice. But he marched on!

"But during one of the military experiment, he was accidentally exposed to a massive amount of gamma rays, so his body underwent an unknown mutation. Every time he lose control of his anger, be transforms into this green monster!

"The transformation increased his strength and endurance immeasurably. The military would undoubtedly seek this power, which was why they were fighting him in that video. They wanted to capture him!

"This monster also known as 'Hulk' by the military!

"Anyway, finding Bruce Banner and helping him control his Hulk transformation would considerably increase our combat force, don't you think so?"

Tony finished his "presentation," and Captain America once again fell into deep thought.
