Kidnapping?

Mephisto looked around confused. He was trying to erase Thanos from existence but before he could complete the snap of his fingers to make that command to the stones, he felt a weird pulling force that seemed to have shrunk him down instantaneously and now he was here.

Looking at the bizarre and colorful surroundings, it didn't take long for Mephisto to put two and two together and figure out that he was in the microverse also known as the quantum realm. Just as Mephisto came to that realization, two flashes appeared and attacked Mephisto right away.

Although he was weaker outside the hell dimension, Mephisto was still a lord of hell so he was quick to use magic barriers to protect himself. Mephisto also tried using the infinity stones to attack the insolent beings who dared to attack the great hell lord.

"Yeah, sorry to break it to you but those stones are just useless stones in this place Mephisto. This place is outside the universe those infinity stones were birthed in, so just give up." Savant taunted while increasing the intensity of his attacks.

Savant was firing energy blasts non-stop, giving Mephisto no time to do anything other than defend. With Doctor Doom added to the mix, Mephisto was at a huge disadvantage. Magic and energy beams collided continuously.

"You tricked me mortal. You planned all of this! So what do you want? You want to destroy me?" Mephisto asked while defending against the two attackers. Doctor Doom especially was like a rabid dog that had seen a piece of meat, attacking Mephisto with everything he could muster.

"No, destroying you is pointless, you will just resurrect in your dimension and come to bother me again and again. I will just take that gauntlet and then destroy your entire dimension. That should do the trick." Savant stopped attacking.

This gave Mephisto some breathing space, so he wanted to defend against Doom and also start counterattacking. He just needed some time, just enough to teleport away from the two lunatics.

Mephisto threw some hellfire-infused spells at Doom and Savant, hoping to gain some distance from the two. He erected a flaming defensive wall and was retreating when an energy attack hit the defensive spell, almost breaking it. Mephisto quickly reinforced it but a magic attack hit it again.

Frustrated, Mephisto threw a massive hellfire at the two while retreating. But just as the spell left his hands, it hit something. Or rather, something hit the spell and then came out from the other side of the huge fire, right in front of Mephisto.

"You look even uglier from up close." Savant said while swinging a sword constructed with light. His charred skin was falling off while it healed rapidly and even his clothes were rematerializing after having been burnt through due to Mephisto's hell fire.

Mephisto used magic to defend himself while Savant used the light sword to attack with energy blasts mixed in between just to disrupt the rhythm. Although Mephisto had lived for countless years and had a lot of fighting experience, Savant was starting to gain the upper hand thanks to his abilities.

Savant would dodge the attacks before they arrived and attack in places where Mephisto would dodge. Mephisto was already having a tough time with Savant when Doom decided to join in the fun once again.

Within seconds, Mephisto's shrill scream rang out as Savant's light sword chopped off one of Mephisto's hands. Of course, it regrew very fast but the severed hand was now in the possession of Savant.

"I'll kill you! I'll destroy you and all that you love. Mere mortals dare to hurt my physical body. Today you will face my wrath." Mephisto started spouting some biblical-sounding threats.

Savant on the other hand was completely ignoring the devil's rants and was busy prying the infinity gauntlet off of Mephisto's severed hand. He then turned to Doom and asked, "Can you handle him alone? I can help if you ask me. You'll just owe me another favor."

"No need. It is my personal revenge. As for favors, the one I owe you already is troublesome enough." Doom shook his head while blocking the attacks from Mephisto who was now feral.

Savant shrugged and teleported some distance away, leaving the battlefield for Doom and Mephisto. He had something else to take care of. The infinity gauntlet with the six stones was very hard to deal with. He couldn't destroy them since there would definitely be a need for them later.

Taking it back to the real universe was a problem too since after this fiasco, the cosmic beings will definitely want the stones to be separated. Just like in the comics, he was sure that the living tribunal would be invoked to make a judgment.

Even if they didn't discover Savant's anomaly, they would still make the stones separate and put them in different places. Savant didn't want that outcome either. Keeping it hidden in the microverse was an option too but it wasn't very safe.

There were all kinds of bizarre things in this place, leaving the aspects of his home universe in such a dangerous place just didn't sit well with Savant.

While Savant was contemplating over what to do with the infinity gauntlet, Doom was fighting Mephisto alone. After throwing out multiple attacks, Mephisto was now much calmer.

"You think you can beat me alone after your partner ran away? You will accomplish nothing. But don't worry I will take you to meet your mother soon. The two of you can serve me together in hell." Mephisto was trying to play mind games with Doctor Doom.

Doom didn't answer and kept on attacking. Magic energies clashed over and over again and Doom was relentless in his attacks. He not only used magic but also took out energy weapons as a means of attack. And only after one of his attacks got through and hit Mephisto did Doom answer.

"Today I will either destroy you or seal you here. No matter what I am taking back my mother's soul. What methods I will employ to reach that outcome depends on how long you can take my hits." After a brief answer, Doom once again went back to a completely focused state of fighting the devil.

On the other hand, Savant was still lost in thoughts. He had finally decided to hide away the infinity gauntlet and the stones in the microverse for the time being. He would first separate the gauntlet and the stones and hide them separately.

Since they are no different from any normal shiny and colorful rocks in the microverse, if someone didn't know what to look for, they would not be able to find the stones. So, after adding some inconspicuous cloaking devices and using his powers over light to create small illusions to make them invisible, he left.

Nobody would be able to see the stones in normal cases and even if someone was able to see through the illusion and the cloaking devices, they will find some weird technological artifacts and some colorful rocks around those artifacts.

Savant had made the scene look like something technological had crashed over a rocky terrain and the damaged craft's cloaking device was cloaking those technological artifacts. Nobody would even think of the stones hidden among the colorful rocky terrain to be the most valuable things. They would go straight for the devices as the most important things in that place.

With this much preparation, Savant was sure that even if there was someone with insane luck who could stumble upon this hiding place and see through the security measures, they would still not be able to find out the infinity stones.

Savant looked in the direction where Doom and Mephisto were fighting and teleported away with a shrug. Reappearing on the far end of the battlefield, he saw that the heroes were busy beating down Thanos who was not as formidable without the stones.

While the heroes didn't notice his arrival and he was hidden well, Savant could still feel the stares of many beings focused on himself. He turned to look at the starry silhouette of Eternity that was staring down at him in the distance.

Eternity who was the manifestation of the universe itself and all time within it was not the only one looking at him. There was also Infinity, the manifestation of space and the universe, the sister of Eternity. Then there were Death, Master Order, Lord Chaos, Oblivion, and others.

"If you call the Tribunal over, this would become an impromptu party for all the abstract entities of the universe. But could you guys stop staring so much? It is a very uncomfortable feeling to be stared at by the universe itself." Savant spoke in a very quiet voice but the beings he directed those words could hear him loud and clear.

Suddenly, Savant found his surroundings changed into a pitch-black space with stars, galaxies, and nebulae dotting the entire space in the distance. Then the abstract entities all began to appear one after another and stood in front of Savant in a semi-circular formation.

"Wow, am I on trial or something? Why do I feel like I am going to be judged?" Savant tried to joke but was cut off shortly by the very impatient Lord Chaos.

"Where are the gauntlet and the stones, human?"

Savant said exaggeratedly, "How should I know? Mephisto took them and now you are questioning me for them. How is this fair?"
