Satan's Envoy and the Super Soldier

Taking a small pause for another sip of wine, Kyle put the glass down and straightened his suit.

Looking at the woman in a black dress, with dark lipstick, all Kyle could think of asking was, "Hey beautiful, what's your name?"

- 'Beginning Extraction of [Satan's Whisper] (1HR).'

"Excuse me, miss, I was talking to you. Would you mind telling me your name? It seemed that you were interested in... talking earlier." Kyle took a step closer and asked the charming woman with straight fair hair.

Seeing this action from Kyle, the mystery woman decided to look him in the eyes and answer, "My name is Claire... Claire Voyant. I was indeed interested in learning more about the man of the hour."

After learning her name, Kyle scanned his memories and found no one with the name Claire or Voyant. Meaning that she was either from the later movies, or possibly a Marvel Comic's dimension. Seeing the Satan part, Kyle deduced that it was almost definitely not from the recent movies involving Thanos.

"Miss Voyant, it's a pleasure to be showered in praise, but please go ahead and ask any questions. I am completely free and don't mind spending the time with a beautiful fan such as yourself." Kyle told the woman while smiling on the outside. Hiding his other intentions for wanting to delay the questionnaire.

Seeing the accepting attitude from such a modest warrior made her smile. It was a real smile filled with a sense of goodness, but it switched back to almost stoic just as quickly as it appeared...

"Please call me Claire. I would also feel privileged to understand more about you, Kyle. I mean who wouldn't want to know more about the man who gave the Allied powers such an amazing win? If you wouldn't mind, would you follow me to a guest room so I can ask you in private?"

Hearing her, Kyle remembered his mission and thought of a brilliant plan in case his bad feeling about Satan's powers were true, Kyle knew he had to be more careful about his life. After using the enhanced intelligence and thinking of a plan, Kyle responded to Claire, "Sure, but let's go meet up with my friend Steve so he can help fill in the gaps in my memory if I forget things."

After Kyle said this, the woman smiled and replied, "Great idea!"

More than an hour later, back at the main event area, many people were dancing and drinking. It was a party where many executives could intermingle, and celebrate their accomplishments with others. Some even took this chance to progress in relationships with others.

One such case is a man with blond hair and blue eyes, sweating due to nervousness. The young man was glancing up and down like he was hesitating with something important.

After a few attempts to move, the man finally told the woman next to him, "Peggy, um, do you want to dance with me? I am not that good, but maybe-"

"Steve! Get over here! I need you!" Recognizing the loud familiar voice from a few meters away, the blond man, Steve, reluctantly gave up with a sigh.

Hearing both of the men, Peggy chuckles and told Steve, "Kyle needs you for something, maybe we can dance another time. It might be important so go quickly."

Steve looked disappointed but left the dance floor to follow Kyle, wondering why he was so unlucky.

Just outside one of the private rooms of the massive hotel, Kyle was holding a key to the room.

Before opening the door, Kyle informed Steve of the situation, "Listen, Steve, this pretty girl is really into me, and wants to know the details of the battle. I brought you along because I have a terrible memory and needed your help! I'll owe you, just please help me this time!

After a moment of silence, a visible shadow of frustration was cast across Steve's face. After a few moments, Steve looked up and told him, "Come on Kyle! I was about to score a dance, what happened to 'bros before blows' like you taught me? I'll help you this once, but you got to let me on the next big mission you get assigned."

Kyle looked at Steve with a small smile while taking the key to open the door to the hotel room, "Steve, you have yourself a deal!"

When the creaking door opened, Kyle was met with the same woman as before, Claire Voyant. Still wearing a black dress that complemented her blond hair.

Seeing Claire's appearance, Steve thought to himself, 'No way this random woman is interested in Kyle, at least romantically. But I can't bring the bad news to him, since I would feel bad...'

After analyzing the situation, Steve became more serious and concluded, 'These kinds of people are only here for an interview and want to get close to us through any means. I will protect Kyle from this since he still does not know about anti-deception tactics taught in the military.'

After a long pause after opening the door, no one spoke for a full minute, creating an awkward silence for everyone. Steve did not notice this since he was thinking to himself.

Once Steve finished his thoughts, he cleared his throat and told the woman, "Excuse me, but let's be brief. Kyle and I are very busy people."

After Steve spoke, the silence returned in the room, making Steve suspicious of the woman. The woman after a few seconds raised her index fingers and touched her lips. However, before Steve could say anything more, Kyle got a notification:

- {Error}[Abnormal Energy Signatures Detected] : Satan's Influence (Rare Purple Item Card.)

- [-(Hidden Death Domain)-] : Blocking negative effects of Satan's Influence.

Steve was not talking, and Kyle could guess why. Taking a glance at Steve's eyes, he noticed the empty feeling inside of them. It was the same look as a zombie.

Kyle now realized that the situation was serious, and although he spent some time, he managed to obtain Satan's Whisper before meeting with Steve.

The reason he decided to stay with this woman was to extract everything one at a time, in case he was interrupted like with the fight with the Eternal when he failed the extraction.

Kyle's real reason to bring Steve was because it was obvious that the woman had a mind manipulation skill which would make figuring Kyle out easy. But if Kyle acted like Steve, Kyle would be clear to extract her ability cards while she extracted false information!

After looking at Steve's reaction, Kyle himself began to act like someone who was a zombie. In order to come out on top, Kyle was going to test his acting skills!

Before Kyle completely cleared his mind, he gave one last instruction:

'Start the extraction of the Mystical Devil.'

- 'Beginning Extraction of [Mystical Devil] (3HR).'
