Servant

"That was a disappointment..."

Kai lounged on the luxurious couch in his new apartment, taking in the opulent surroundings. The room was a far cry from the chaos he had left behind at Fisk's headquarters, with its sleek, modern design and floor-to-ceiling windows offering a breathtaking view of the city. Despite the elegance of his new abode, Kai felt a lingering sense of dissatisfaction.

Maybe he had caught them too off-guard or his entrance had been too flashy, but he didn't expect Fisk to give up so easily.

Kill point: 51/100

With his hands on his cheeks, he stared at the point counter hovering in the corner of his vision.

"Fifty-one," Kai muttered to himself, the number resonating with a mix of disappointment. "Barely halfway."

"I had figured I would gain enough points to gain a new finger, but I guess that was too selfish of me to think Fisk would just keep sending his goons to me like a video game." Kai shook his head, "But it wasn't all in vain."

Anna Marie, known as Rogue, was someone who could help him with his path. With her absorption powers, killing the unkillable would be much easier, not to mention the girl's ability to absorb not only powers but memories as well. Having her by his side would be much more useful if he could use her right.

With his research, he knew for a fact that she hadn't yet been discovered by the X-men or any other mutant group as of yet.

Hence, why he had planned on traveling to find her himself but luckily Fisk seemed desperate enough to draw deals with him, giving him an opportunity to leverage Fisk's resources for his own benefit. This would save him time and effort in tracking Rogue down, allowing him to focus on the next few things.

Kai knew from what he had read and gathered in his previous life, that Fisk wasn't someone to bow down to anyone easily. Since unlike Spiderman or even Daredevil, he had been more ruthless from the get-go, Fisk had given him the upper hand in their first battle but he would retaliate sooner or later.

"If he proves to be useful I might just keep him around a bit longer..." Kai turned his head to the meek man with glasses shaking in the corner, "What are you supposed to be? A spy?"

"Eh- No! Sir!" The man said in a hurry almost giving him a salute with how frightened he was, "My name is Nathan. I am here to assist you with anything you require. Mr. Fisk personally asked me to take care of anything you may require."

"Oh! So a servant?"

"I am a personal Assi-"

"Hmm?"

"Yes sir, I am your servant, please tell me if there's anything you require of me." The man hurriedly corrected himself,

"I am guessing this place is bugged to the gills... so I'll give you an hour to clean it up," Kai said, his voice steady but laced with a hint of menace, "If you deny it or don't manage to find any, it's your head I'll be taking first before Fisk'."

The man gulped, his face turning pale. "Y-Yes, sir. I'll get right on it," he stammered before scurrying off to start his task.

Kai watched him go, his expression a mix of amusement and irritation. He knew that Fisk would want to keep a close eye on him, but the blatant surveillance was almost insulting. Still, if Fisk thought he could control him with a few bugs and a nervous assistant, he was sorely mistaken.

An hour later, Nathan returned, looking exhausted but triumphant. "Sir, I found and removed all the bugs. There were quite a few, but I got them all."

Kai nodded, satisfied. "Good work, Servant. You might just prove useful after all."

Nathan exhaled in relief, wiping the sweat from his brow. "Thank you, sir. Is there anything else you need?"

"For now, how about you collect some information... Find me any gangs or any groups of people who wouldn't be missed even if I were to kill them." Kai instructed.

Nathan blinked, clearly taken aback by the request, but nodded quickly. "Yes, sir. I'll get right on it."

As Nathan hurried out of the apartment, Kai leaned back on the couch, a small smile playing on his lips. He needed more kill points, and if Fisk wouldn't provide them, he would find another way.

Elsewhere, Fisk sat in his office, reviewing reports on Kai. The man was resourceful and dangerous, traits Fisk both respected and distrusted. He had given Kai a certain level of autonomy, but he knew he needed to keep a tighter rein on him.

"Mr. Fisk," a voice interrupted his thoughts. James, his top enforcer, stepped into the room.

"What is it?" Fisk asked, not looking up from his papers.

"Kai's assistant, Nathan, is requesting information on local gangs and criminal groups," James reported.

Fisk's eyes narrowed. "Interesting. Let him have the information on some of our rival gangs. But make sure our men keep an eye on Kai. I want to know his every move and ensure you let me know about his dealings with said people."

"If he intends on creating his own gang or take over my business... I believe you would know what to do."

James nodded, "From the footage I watched it's clear that he is clearly trying to evade bullets, so it just speaks that his healing factor was either a one off thing or it's too slow for him to rely on it recklessly like that other mutant does."

"I believe if we have a few snipers set on him, he might not be able to escape or at the very least incapacitate him to a certain degree."

"Indeed," Fisk mused, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "But let's not act prematurely. We'll monitor his actions closely. If he makes a move against us, then we'll strike. But for now, let's see where his intentions lie."

James nodded and left the room, leaving Fisk deep in thought. He had encountered many threats over the years, but Kai was different – unpredictable and potentially uncontrollable. He had to tread carefully.

"Let's see, how far he plans to take it... "

"Sir! Nathan removed all the bugs in the room." His assistant came over to report as Fisk just shook his head.

Back at his apartment, Kai was busy using the new gym that came with the apartment.

He was in the middle of his pull-ups with chains tied around his waist carrying several plates that weighed 250 kg with ease.

The weights clinked and rattled with each pull-up, a testament to Kai's superhuman strength. His muscles burned, but it was a familiar, almost comforting sensation. He thrived on physical exertion, using it to keep his mind sharp and his body in peak condition.

"Sir..." Nathan let out a slight cough.

Kai glanced down from the pull-up bar, his expression unreadable. "What is it, Nathan?"

Nathan shifted nervously, holding a tablet in his hands. "I've gathered the information you requested. There are several groups that fit your criteria. I've prioritized them based on their activities and potential risk."

Kai dropped from the bar, the heavy plates clattering to the floor. He approached Nathan, taking the tablet and scrolling through the data. Names, locations, and activities of various gangs were neatly listed. Kai's eyes flicked over the details, absorbing the information quickly.

"Let's start with this one," he said, tapping on an entry for a gang known for trafficking and illegal weapons deals. "They operate out of a warehouse near the docks. Perfect."

"Are you..."

"Going to kill them?" Kai completed the question that Nathan was too afraid to finish. "Yes, that's exactly what I'm going to do."

Nathan's face paled, but he managed a nod. "Understood, sir. I'll make the necessary arrangements for transportation."

Kai watched Nathan leave, as he ran his hands through his hair letting out a smirk that almost looked evil and menacing, "Let's grind some level- or should I say fingers now... never mind, that just sounds weird..."
