Chapter 26

While Tom was sprawled on the floor like a dried octopus,and agency was looking for his whereabouts,normally that shouldn't have been the case as they have the most advanced technology in the world and the best men in the field,ready to complete orders at a moments notice

Maria Hill,a trusted aid of Nick Fury,the director of SHIELD was currently standing in front of the desk as Nick Fury was going though the documents in his hands

"So you are saying that this guy has been able to avoid being found out till now by sheer luck" Nick Fury asked incredulously,the mere thought made him doubt the credibility of the documents in his hands

"Yes sir! Although it's hard to believe,but we have only uncovered his location to an abandoned factory in the dregs of Hell's Kitchen and nothing more" Maria Hill took a pause as she handed over another thick stack of files to Firy,each having pictures of Toms activity,his orange mask protecting his facial feature as he fought a group of thugs

"Besides that we have also made a list of his ability " Maria Hill completed as she handed I've rather rest of the papers

Nick fury read the whole file then put it down

'Super strength,enhanced endurance,stamina and agility,plus his body has the ability to turn extremely hard to protect him as well as providing a great boost in strength,and the ability to project a bubble of force field to protect himself,as well as the ability to paralyse his targets' NICK Fury thought furiously as he taped his fingers on the table

"I want eyes on him,observe his movements manually,a week is all you have,give me his identity" Fury finished as Maria Hill left the office,Fury sighed as he pulled up a document on his computer tagged as 'Avengers initiative'

A new segment was being written at this moment,Fury gave it some thought,ultimately giving the new target a name that was not even related to him,but sat right as according to Maria

'Lucky Avenger'

"Let's wait and see if you are a good candidate for this initiative or not" Fury crossed his fingers and rested his chin on it as he gazed at the most clear shot they had of Tom from todays Fire incident,his cloak and clothes burned from various places as his fans tried to swarm him while he flew away

Although it wasn't only Fury who was keeping an eye on him as other forces of darkness and light also noticed his presence,some mystic and some cryptic as they swarmed to catch him,but always seemed to miss him

The Hand also received his information along with the Ancient One from the temple of Kamar-Taj as she calmly sipped her tea,her face serious as she was able to see every move made by Tom like it was her right to know it,except for when the Time stone itself woul fail to work sometimes,though whenever that would happen, Tom would gain sudden power ups,artificers that could boost his strength….or even boxes of protein powders

Ancient One unknowingly released a sigh as this was noticed by her student and admirer,though they didn't question her as it wasn't their place to do so

"What are you hiding….Tom?"

Wong: 'Who's Tom?' thought Wong but just put it to the back of his head for later

Karl Mordo: 'is it another student?,is she planning on getting another student for herself?'

Tom woke up with his body feeling like it had been beaten to a pulp with his head aching,though his mind was fresh as he stood upright with a jump,cracking his knuckles as he looked around,realising soon after where he was and why he was here

"So I really fell asleep,guess I was too tired ,I have gotta be careful of my own shortcomings or I might end up in someone's hands or worse off,End up dead" Tom realised that he was currently in Hells kitchens abandoned factory area

He quickly checked for his clothes and upon finding that they had been burnt by the fire even after he was so careful,he immediately changed his clothes ,discarding the cloak tha had lost its functionality

"I better make a nicer cloak that can stay on for a lot longer,perhaps that guy who helped Matt could help me make a costume as well" Tom wondered as he put he mask back on and flew off from the hole in the roof ,the night working as his cover ,hiding him as he arrived at the apartment
