Chapter 94: Mysterious Character with a Limited-Time Special Offer?

The first-generation Iron Armor, hastily constructed, was average at best. Its outer shell was made of ordinary steel plates, lacking in defense and being too heavy and slow to maneuver effectively.

If faced with an anti-tank gun or an M134, Stark would have little chance of survival.

However, the terrorists' equipment was nowhere near the caliber of a well-equipped military force; they were armed only with AK-47s.

These weapons are inexpensive, easy to use, and widely available.

Their downside is average power, and they barely dent the steel plates.

Due to material shortages, the weapon system of the first-generation armor was inadequate, relying mainly on two flamethrowers mounted on the arms.

The steel battle armor spewed flames as it emerged from the cave, where Stark's mentor, Dr. Ethan, lay dying at the entrance.

"Go, I'll take you to see your family!" Stark said, opening his helmet.

Ethan shook his head. "My family is dead. I'll be with them soon…"

He coughed up blood and said weakly, "It's okay. Let's go… Don't waste your life…"

His voice grew fainter until it completely faded.

Outside the cave, a group of minions, having heard the commotion, aimed their guns at the entrance. They were unaware that they were no longer facing a wealthy playboy, but a superhero...

Flames surged forth, igniting the munitions and missiles piled in the base. Just before the explosion, all the power was directed into the propulsion system beneath Stark's feet.

"Whoosh—"

The heavy iron suit soared into the sky like a rocket amidst the explosion's roar. It lost power mid-air and plummeted back down.

Despite the protagonist's aura in the Marvel universe being quite pronounced, Stark, even while wearing the battle armor and falling from a great height, only suffered minor scratches. However, his future friend Rhodes would have faced more severe consequences from such a fall.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for achieving the following—Avengers Assemble: Have befriended five original Avengers (Captain America, Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Iron Man). Award: 2,500,000 points!"

At the moment the first-generation armor Mark I launched, the points in the system column increased again, reaching 30 million.

Seeing the achievement description, Thor knew Stark had succeeded. This marked a new era for the Marvel universe.

With the points now at 30 million, Thor decided to browse the mall.

"Artifact—Infinity Gauntlet: 50 million points."

"Artifact—Stormbreaker: 60 million points."

"Artifact—Frostmourne: 60 million points."

"Venom Symbiote: 8 million points."

"The Fountain of Wisdom—Mimir's Spring Water: 100 million points."

"Sentry Potion: 1 million points."

Wait! Thor noticed something unusual—specifically, the price of the Sentry Potion.

"Is the system serious? A Sentry Potion? Is that the Sentry?"

If so, this could be incredible!

Thor might have bought it immediately if he hadn't understood some system details. It seemed unlikely the price was so wrong...

The system's voice came through helplessly: "The prices of all items in the mall have reasons, just like why the Phoenix Force is cheap. This potion is genuine, but not everyone can use it. You must first redeem it. A drug addict named Robert Reynolds has its special destiny."

It's really reality!

"What did you just say? The mall sells characters?"

"It's possible, but most of the characters you're interested in are too expensive to afford... Wait!"

The system suddenly hesitated: "There is a very cost-effective character on sale for a limited time, but…"

"But what?"

Thor looked at the list of heroes displayed by the system, confused.

Oh, the price is quite steep!

Currently, characters are available in five levels. Ordinary white, green, blue, and purple characters range from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions. The lowest priced golden characters start at least in the nine-figure range.

It's likely the cheapest one...

Among the array of products, a particularly eye-catching card was on sale for a limited time. The portrait depicted a blonde girl who appeared to be twelve or thirteen years old with her eyes closed. Thor didn't recognize her.

The crucial detail was that the price was only 30 million!
