Chapter 224

It turned out that Thor had been overthinking.

Initially, the barrier had only enclosed a small town, with the sole entertainment venue being a large theater converted from the Avengers' base.

However, things had changed. After the expansion, the world had grown several times larger, and new facilities had been added.

For instance, there was now a vast theme park—Disneyland!

Thor was astonished. "Isn't this my territory?"

At a glance, what had once been his Golden Palace now resembled a Disney castle.

The tourists and staff in the park were Asgardian soldiers and maids he had brought with him...

Thor, holding Wanda's hand, looked around the park with a mixture of confusion and amusement. "Does this count as bringing the Scarlet Witch home?"

Just then, a familiar voice caught Thor's attention.

"Come and take a look! Max's homemade cupcakes!"

"Hey! Handsome, buy your beautiful wife one of Max's homemade cupcakes!"

From a distance, Thor saw a giant cake with arms and legs running toward him!

As he drew nearer, Thor realized it was not a cake but a person—an old acquaintance!

"Daisy ? What is she doing here selling cakes?"

It seemed Daisy had failed in business once more and had become bankrupt.

Thor took a small cake from Daisy and was about to speak when another voice chimed in from behind.

"Hey, handsome, is this your first time here? Need a professional tour guide? It's free!"

Thor turned around, ready to decline the offer, only to find that the female tour guide was quite attractive. Her name tag read "Meila."

More importantly, this tour guide was another familiar face—Lorelai, Thor's direct subordinate!

"What's wrong, handsome? Surprised to see such a beautiful tour guide?" Lorelai flashed a wide smile and winked at Thor.

Despite the oddities, Wanda's grip tightened on Thor's hand.

Thor realized that Daisy had indeed become the bankrupt Max, and Lorelai was likely putting on an act. As a skilled psychic, Lorelai was probably here for the same reason as Hawkeye and Hulk—without getting caught as Hawkeye did.

"Alright, we could use a tour guide!" Wanda declared, surprising Thor.

Thor turned, only to find Wanda had disappeared.

"Where did Wanda go?" Thor wondered aloud, then pulled out the Mind Stone and handed it to Lorelai, whispering something in her ear.

Lorelai's eyes widened in surprise before she flashed a knowing smile.

...

"Where's the tour guide?" Wanda asked when she returned to Thor, noticing Lorelai's absence.

Thor casually replied, "Oh, I let her go. While a tour guide would be convenient, I'm looking forward to spending some time alone with you."

Wanda had changed from her casual clothes into the classic Scarlet Witch costume, which made Thor's eyes widen.

"Are you changing your appearance?" he asked, taken aback.

Wanda puffed out her chest, scanning the area with a wary expression. "Where did that irritating tour guide go?"

...

Elsewhere, Lorelai held the Mind Stone with a satisfied smile.

"Your Majesty, you truly are remarkable. You're not under control."

Daisy walked over to Max, gently pointing.

"Oh my God..." Daisy's fear was palpable as she murmured, "Though I don't mind being here as a friendly guest, this feels... a bit strange."

Lorelai waved her hand dismissively. "I was initially here just to escort you, but now I have a new mission. We need to find the other Avengers under control and free them. They must regain their sanity so they don't interfere with His Majesty."

"Hindered? You mean Thor has his own plans and isn't controlled?"

"Exactly."

...

Thor was preparing for a confrontation with Wanda.

After all, this virtual space was a lie that required further deception to sustain. Wanda could no longer fabricate additional lies.

Thor had noted numerous inconsistencies in their lives. Even if he had been brainwashed, he should have noticed abnormalities by now.

The crucial factor was that, through various tests and without the influence of the Mind Stone, Thor was confident he could manage the other person's emotions.

Now, he just needed to wait for the right moment...

...

After several hours of study, Strange felt satisfied.

He was indeed a genius capable of mastering all magic just by observing!

At least, that was how it seemed in Wanda's illusion.

In the New York Sanctuary, the Ancient One opened her eyes with a sly smile. She had used magic to subtly alter the rules of the illusion and changed the settings for Strange.

She had chosen not to respond to Strange's thoughts. He still believed he was Sherlock Holmes, the great magician!

"I, the disciple of the Ancient One, will resolve this crisis with my own wisdom and strength!" Strange declared.

Suddenly, the Ancient One's expression turned serious. Her eyes widened, and she stood up abruptly, ready to act.

But she quickly controlled her impulse, her face reflecting deep concern.

Several points of light flickered on the red model of the city.
