The power of light

The big guy rushed at me with a bloodthirsty smile.

Before he could reach me, I pointed my finger at him as if my hand is a gun. A beam of light came out from my finger tip.

The beam of light hit him which sent him flying. He hit a wall which created a huge crack on it.

The thinner one seeing his brother get one shotted tried to zap me with his electricity.

Zappzz...

I jumped up to dodge it then I kicked at the air creating a light beam from my foot.

Light stomp.

He tried to dodge it, but you can't out speed light. He got hit on his chest which pushed him back and he hit the car.

As, I was about to hit him again. The big guy fell on me from above.

I moved to the side and punched him with a light infused punch.

A bone armour appeared on his face protecting him from getting hit.

His left hand turned into a blade which he aimed at me. But, I dodges down to avoided getting hit. But, I missed to see the other guy shooting a beam of electrical energy at me. It was strange I could feel it.

Zapp..

But, I may have forgotten that..

Wishhh...

the beam went through me. And I was unharmed, because I am a logia user.

Is was stunt momentarily, but I recovered and shot a beam of light from my hand.

Yasakani no Magatama

Several beams of light hit him. There was a huge expansion.

The crowd who were looking at the scene became scared. They thought it was some movie beginning filmed. The last attack told them the truth, it was a real fight. A fight between superpower users.

They ran away while screaming. Some, called 911 while some who were to brave started to record the fight.

As the smoke cleared we saw a burnt figure.

The big guy instead of fighting me became shocked. He ran at the body and held it close to him.

"Tim Tim, bro wake up. Bro!!"

He started shaking him he didn't know what to do. They thought they were the strongest after getting this power. They thought they were invisible. They thought no one could kill them. But, here they were one of them dead and the other one with the same fate as the other.

He then looked at my direction and yelled,

"WHAT did you do to him,you freak!!?"

I didn't say anything but came at him.

"You know he is dead,right?"

After hearing this the guy went silent. I didn't care about him he was broken anyway. So, I came to the car and looked at it. The guy in the front was dead, he was crushed.

I came to the back and saw young Peter. He was unconscious, I slowly pulled him out and picked him up to carry him. Has I was going to go away, I sensed a dark and evil energy coming from the back.

I sighed and put Peter to a safe place and conjured I dome of light around him to protect him.

I turned back and looked at the big guy. He was emitting a dark aura. His eyes were crimson red.

Grrrhh

"You mother fucker, I will end you. I will make you eat you ... and force my ... up your ....

Then I will ..... you and then.... I will...-"

Before he could finish his long speech of how he will torture me. I conjured a sphere of light on my hand.

Yata no Kagami

A beam of light shoot from my hand and it created a zigzag line then it appeared beside him.

I disappeared from my spot and appeared to his left. I had a smirk on my face while saying this line.

"Have ever been kicked at the speed of light."

Bang.

After saying that, I kicked him as hard as I could while also adding armorment haki.

My feet hit his head and then his skull came clean of from his body.

It flew away and hit a building wall.

Then I flashed back to Peter and undid the dome. I picked him up and looked back at the destruction I caused for some kid. Well mostly for his aunt.

I sight and flashed away, not before covering Peter in a layer of light. Can't have him die just because he couldn't handle some light speed movement can we.

A moment later I appeared near the beach, it was noon.

I saw, may standing infront of me. She stood at the same spot that I left har at. But, now she was wearing har sundress.

I came closer to her.

Seeing us she ran at me. I thought I was going to get a kiss. So, I closed my eyes and put my lips togather in a kissing motion.

But, I Didn't feel any soft lip one me. Instead I was hit by a fist. I flew back and fell on the sand. I deactivated my fruit ability that's what I was hit.

I looked back at her to see her hugging the kid in her bosoms.

I clenched my fists I rage.

'I should have been me, not him!!'

I yelled in my head.

She then looked at me in the eye and smiled at me.

"Thank you."

That put my anger away. I also smiled at her.

"No problem, I as a gentleman had to help a lady in need."

She giggled at my words then she picked Peter up and went away.

I looked at her back and then followed her.

I was going to get my reward, if it was the last thing I do. I died a virgin once. Not again.

It was light time, I was at the bar in the hotel at the upper floor.

I was drinking wine. I was thinking about what should I do now. What was my purpose in the grand scheme of things. Why was I given this opportunity, even though there was many others much more capable than me.

As, I was pondering in my thoughts a woman sat beside me. She was wearing a beautiful blue dress, high blue heels and a necklace on her neck.

"What are you thinking about?"

I looked at the beautiful women and saw who it was. It was may.

"Nothing, just thinking about life."

I said while looking at my glass of wine. She ordered vodka. I looked at her .

"You sure you can handle that?"

"I need that, I am really stressed."

"IT'S about Peter isn't it?"

"Yeah, after waking up he was asking a lot of questions."

"Hmm."

"You, know he is a curious kid."

"Hmm, you know I have been meaning to ask this. You really love your nephew."

"More than myself."

"Yeah, I was going say that. You treat him as if he was your own son not your nephew."

"What can I say, he Is like a son to me."

She replied while smiling.

"No, I mean to say is... is Peter your real son?"

Hearing my words she stopped smiling. She was silent for a moment. Then she took the glass of vodka and drunk it. Then she took another then another.

After her fourth glass of vodka she finally opened her mouth,

"It was a dark day for me. Ben was away, it was my birthday day. Some of my friends were there also my brother-in-low Richard Parker. I got drunk and the next day I woke up with richard beside me naked. We forgot about it later, thinking it was a mistake. Mary found out about it and she was angry. She was yelling at me and Richard. But, later forgave me. Few months later I found out I was pregnant. I knew who the father was so I called him and told him everything. I though he would be angry and tell me to get rid of it but he was happy."

She then took another cup of vodka.

"Apparently Mary couldn't have a child so they had lost hope of ever having one. But, after hearing the news they became happy.

They wanted the child in my belly. I didn't want to give my child away but Mary told me if ben found out he would never forgive me. So, I agreed. Few months later I gave birth to a healthy boy. I named him Peter. They took him away and disappeared for years. Ben was in Afghanistan, as he was a soldier. A year later I found out he had died. I was devastated. In this world I had no one..."

Then she looked up at the moon and said

"Until one day, 7 years later they came back with a grown Peter. They told me that some bad people were after them. But, they couldn't let Peter get hurt so they asked me to look after him for sometime.

I naturally didn't object, getting some time to spend with my son was all I needed. But, I hoped he would stay with me forever. But, God did hear me. Later I found out they died in a plane crash. So, I got Peter for myself.. that's my story."

I didn't say anything after that. It was a lot to take in.

After five minutes of silence I looked back at her to say something. But, she was sleeping on the table. I smiled softly and said,

"NOW I have to take you to your room."

Then I picked her up and went away.

Unknown location.

A man in a dark room was talking on a phone.

"They have failed the mission."

"Yes, I told you they will they were useless. Inexperienced."

[ You Don't have to say that to me. It wasn't me who sent them. It others wanted to see how their soldiers wark and if the serum did its work in making a powerful soldier even greater than the captain.]

"Yeah yeah, keep telling yourself that."

"Even, though they failed to do their job. But, I Didn't. I never do."

He picked up a vile filled with blood.

"I got the blood from the boy."

[Excellent work, I will send my men to pick it up.]

"Yeah, also don't forget about my money."

"Yeah yeah, pleasure doing business with you"

The call ended.

Taskmaster sat down and pulled out a tab which had a video of Arata fighting the monsters.
