After getting home, I went straight to grandma.
"Hey, grandma."
"Will," she smiled at me.
"A friend of mine from school, Kurt, doesn't have a place to stay, and I offered him to stay at our guest's room. That won't be an issue, right?"
Grandma smiled and nodded. "I don't mind. The more people, the livelier it will be here."
I didn't think she would disagree, especially since I mentioned Kurt. She knew about him as I've told her a few stories. If it was someone else, maybe she would've objected or asked a few questions first.
"Thanks, he will be here shortly," I said before giving a call to Kurt, telling him to meet on top of a building. Teleporters for the win!
I was the first to arrive, and in a moment, Kurt came with a BAMF sound. There was a weird burning smell as well after he teleported there. He had a bag with him, which he dropped on the building.
"Vait a second," Kurt said and disappeared with another BAMF sound, again that was followed by the weird burning smell.
Obviously, his teleportation wasn't like mine. Mine literally created a doorway between two locations while he seemed to go to another dimension and somehow travel to where he needs to go.
I decided to prank him before he comes back.
"I have a few more zings to get," Kurt said after dropping off another bag and looked around.
He also seemed to have a limit on how much he can carry with him when teleporting. There were downsides to his way, but it has his upsides as well since it was faster.
"Vhere's the ozer bag?" Kurt then asked, noticing his first bag was gone.
"What bag?" I asked with a straight face.
"The one I just left here," Kurt said and looked around, even going as far to look if I had thrown it off the building.
"You didn't leave one," I said calmly.
"I'm sure I left one," Kurt was adamant about it.
"You should double-check to make sure," I said, and he looked at me skeptically, but he still teleported away.
In a moment, he reappeared with another one.
"Vhere are ze bags?!" Kurt exclaimed, looking around in wonder, but not finding them.
"What bags?" I asked, this time letting out a small smirk.
"Will! Vhere are zey?" Kurt asked accusingly.
"I have no idea."
[Lying has increased to 27.]
Kurt shot me a look, not trusting me, but he left. Every time he returned, the stuff he previously left would suddenly disappear. He just stopped asking questions, hoping that I hadn't just thrown them away.
"Okay, I'm good," Kurt said after he arrived with a monitor. He brought his computer with him as that was something he had purchased with his own money.
"Now, vhat?" He asked as I walked up to him.
I took the monitor of him, and it disappeared.
"Vhat?! Vhere did it go?" Kurt asked in astonishment, but I just grabbed his hand and transported us to the Mirror Dimension.
Interestingly enough, he immediately started looking around as if he knew that something was wrong.
"Vhere are ve? Zis place is different," Kurt said, still looking around and trying to puzzle it out.
"This," I started, "is the Mirror Dimension. It is parallel to our own dimension and is the place where Sorcerers usually fight their more destructive enemies or train their more destructive spells."
"Zat is so cool. You know Magic? Can you show me?" Kurt asked excitedly.
"I will, but let's get you sorted out first," I said and opened a portal that led to my house.
We exited, and Kurt immediately pointed in panic towards a lady, who was walking her dog right next to us. She passed by us, not sparing us a look as her dog pulled her on.
"How?" Kurt asked.
"We are still in the Mirror Dimension," I said, and he looked at me with sparkling eyes.
"Zis is ze perfect stealth and pranking skill!"
"You are not wrong," I said, and after making sure there was no one looking at us, I returned us back to the real world.
We walked up to the door of my house, and I retrieved all the bags I had stored in my Inventory, dumping them in front of him.
"How?! I zought you had already teleported zem to here."
"Magic!" That was the only thing I said in reply as I entered the house.
Seeing other people's dumbfounded look at Magic was a joy, even though this technically wasn't Magic, but part of my own broken ability.
"Grandma, he's here!" I called out and got the two officially introduced.
Afterward, I showed him the room in which he will be staying and helped him set up his computer while he stored his stuff.
"So, you can do Magic?" Kurt asked me.
"Yeah, but technically, I can do a lot of stuff."
At this point, I was wondering exactly how much to share with him. Jean already knew a lot after our talk, and I was thinking that maybe I can form my own group. Kurt has been my friend for a long time now, and I would definitely invite him as he even left his previous team.
I figured I could at least tell him the basics of my powers.
"Vhat do you mean?" Kurt asked.
"Well, you know how I stopped playing games about 2 weeks ago?" I asked.
"Yes," Kurt nodded, urging me to continue.
"Technically, I never stopped because my life turned into a game."
There was a brief silence as Kurt walked up to me.
"You have levels," Kurt didn't ask, he just stated.
"Yes."
"You have stats."
"Yes."
"You have skills."
"Yes."
"You have an Inventory."
"Yes."
"VHYYYY?!?!" He grabbed my shoulders and started shaking me. "I VANT ZAT TOO!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!"
"I can't," I said.
"Noooo! I vant it so badly! You can't do zis to me. Invite me to a party or something," Kurt said, giving me a great idea.
I tried doing just that, first with mental commands, but when that didn't work, I tried with voice commands.
"Invite Kurt Wagner to party," I said and looked at him. "Did it work?"
"No," Kurt said, sad and crestfallen of not being able to live life as a game.
"I'm not too surprised, I still can't see other people's stats, even though my Observe is a high level," I said, and his eyes bore into mine.
"Vhat about levels? Can you see zat?"
"Yes," I said and looked at the floating text above him.
[<Nightcrawler> Kurt Wagner Lvl. 29]
"You are level 29," I informed him.
"Is that good?" He asked, but I think he already knew the answer.
"I'm level 49," I said smugly.
Ha, I remember when Kurt was almost 20 levels above me. Look at me now!
"Nooo!" After joking for a bit longer, Kurt turned serious.
"Vhat are ve going to do from now on? Vhat am I going to do from now on?" He asked.
"Since you left the X-Men, I was thinking maybe we can make our better team with blackjack and hookers." I don't know what our team is even going to do, but it sounded like a cool idea.
"Will, I'm Christian," Kurt replied with a dumb look.
"No," I shook my head, "you are Kurt."
"You know vhat I meant."
"I know, but we can seriously make our own team, which will be even better!"
"Vell, I'm down, but is there anyone else that might join us?" Kurt asked.
"Oh, yeah," I quickly nodded. I was already counting Peter in. I was almost certain he will agree to join as we already were kinda like a team. Thinking about it, I have to introduce the two to each other.
I was on the fence with Mordo. He was the current Sorcerer overlooking the New York Sanctum, so he might refuse or become a reserve member. I wouldn't mind if he joined.
Jean, well, I really hoped she joined, but I wouldn't try to force her. I'm still confused about what's going on with her, and whether we were considered together since we didn't talk about that.
"We even have a mascot!" I suddenly exclaimed.
"Really?" Kurt asked, and I grabbed him before entering the Mirror Dimension.
I then led him to my room, where Baby Groot was peacefully staying in his plant pot.
"I am Groot!" He said the moment he saw me with his tiny hands already outstretched.
I patted him on the head as he grabbed onto my finger. "How are you doing, little one?"
"I am Groot!"
Ohhh, he is just the cutest. If only he stopped calling me his mother!
"We talked about this already. I'm your father, little one!"
"VHAT?!?!" Kurt was dumbfounded.
"I am Groot!" He just smiled at me happily as he called me his mother again...
I let out a sigh and said. "Say hello to my friend, Kurt."
"I am Groot!" He waved at Kurt with his tiny hand.
He's just a day old, and he is already so smart! They grow up so fast!
After playing a bit with Baby Groot, we left the Mirror Dimension.
"Um, Will, I know you said not to vorry about cash on the phone, but I really don't have any at all. Are you sure zats okay?" Kurt worriedly asked me afterward.
"Kurt, I told you my life is a video game, what do you think happens when I kill mobs?" I watched as his eyes nearly popped out of his sockets.
"No vay! But vhere do you get the mobs? Please don't tell me." Kurt was probably thinking I was killing humans, and I stopped him there.
"Nah, I can just make my own mobs," I said smugly.
"Zat is not fair!" Kurt looked ready to cry. I don't blame him, though. I'm truly an unfair character.
At that moment, his phone vibrated, and he checked it out before looking at me. "I got a message from Jean. She vants to know your number."
"Give it to her," I said quickly. I did want to talk with her and meet her again, so... I can grind my new skill, yes, because of that.
[Lying has increased to 28.]
Okay, maybe I just want to spend more time with her.
Kurt did just that, and in a moment, I received a text from her. It was a simple one, just saying hi, and I quickly replied. Before I knew it, we were talking about the most random of things like what was our favorite color, and it was already dark with Kurt nowhere to be seen. He must've already gone to sleep.
Whoops, I have to apologize to him tomorrow. Now, however, there were other important things to do. We exchanged a few more texts before we said goodnight to each other.
I wasn't planning on going to sleep, however. I still had about two more days before I get the negative status effect Fatigue.
I opened up an empty ID with time dilation, put my headphones on, and got to running. I kept going for the next seven hours until I got what I was after.
[Skill, Weak Healing Factor, has been awarded as Vitality passed 50.]
[Weak Healing Factor(Passive) Lvl. Max: A skill that helps the user recover from bodily injuries or disease at a superhuman rate. Grants the user a weak resistance to diseases and foreign chemicals. Increases the user's lifespan. HP is increased by 10%. HP Regen is increased by 10%.]
Well, I finally got a buff to my HP, and I also found out something important. Diseases and foreign chemicals, such as drugs and alcohol, can affect me. I can sleep them off due to Gamer's Body, but I have to be careful in the future with that.
My lifespan also got increased. I wasn't sure how to feel about it, but I guess it was a good thing. I mean, it can let me grind for a much longer time as long as I stayed alive.
Since Vitality was over 50, now it was time to focus on my last physical stat below that threshold.

So... I'm going to give you all the option to choose whether you want a party system or not. If you decided on yes, bear in mind it will severely nerfed for the others. E.g they won't be able to obtain skills from skill books. they won't have an inventory, and etc.
If you choose not to, it's not like Kurt, for example, will be left behind due to being a lower level. The MC will at some be able to make good stuff, including armored suits. If Tony was so strong in both comics and mcu while only being a normal, albeit very intelligent human, why can't others do the same?
